IT was one winner for Johnb on what was a tough day 2 for punters.

With even Douvan losing bookies will be looking to give back some today (hopefully).

Johnb's Day 3 Tips

1.30 Yorkhill 5-4
2.10 Tobefair 17-2
2.50 Uxizandre 7-2 & Alary 28-1
3.30 Cole Harden 13-2
4:10 Diamond King 9-2
4.50 Airlie Beach 4-1
5.30 Hadrians Approach 16-1

All 10Bet prices

Johnb says: “Got to stick with Airlie Beach although Willie Mullins definitely has problems with his horses and Diamond King was another selection of mine three weeks ago at 8-1.”

If Mullins horses were firing un de sceaux would be a shoe in.
Lost to sprinter Sacre last year but still had special tiara and God’s own behind.
Won tingle creek on seasonal debut beating God’s own again and sir Valentio who have both ran well this week.

Then won the Clarence house beating Uxizandre by 5 lengths off level weights, with special tiara and top gamble among those behind.

    3 big negatives are
1 . Mullins form, losing all those horses to Elliott seems to have ripped the heart out of his team, and losing Faugheen, vatour etc , seems to have lowered the veil of invincibility from his horses.

    2. Those wins above were 2 miles, and he is unproven over this distance.

    3. Ground not ideal.

Uxizandre won this in 2015 and that defeat to un de sceaux this January was his 1st run since, and he beat Don cossack among others in 2015 and we know what he did last year.

Elliott’s form and the fact that Michael o Leary sponsors this race, suggest that empire of dirt has been entered here specially to keep the prize in gigginstown., and importantly has course form winning at last year’s festival.

    1 empire of dirt
    2 Uxizandre
3 un de sceaux or at a big price vaniteaux.

Empires Of Dirt was entered because there was not much else for him to run in after connections pulled him out the National after throwing their dummy out the pram, as for Alary I think one word covers it “Labaik”
Also tipped Uxizandre in 2015 & Mullins ain’t too bothered about losing Gigginstown horses as he doesn’t have to put up with O’Leary tantrums now

Labaik is a quirky animal with talent who runs when he wants to run.

Alary is a poor animal who has no place in graded races on his efforts here, and in French grade races where opponents are handicap quality

I will happy take your picks above in a one line placepot.
    Minus alary of course.
I’m not getting involved with discussing that again.

Is zarkander really a 33-1 shot in the world hurdle.
Has come 4th and 3rd in this before.
Returned in November after 18 months out with a couple of rusty efforts then won nicely at haydock in January.
Ew shout for me, though I fancy Cole harden to run Harry close and maybe regain his crown.

Zarkander to finish top 4. 7-2
Zarkander to finish top 5. 6-4
Cole harden to finish top 3. 13-8
Cole harden to finish top 4. 10-11

50p on it and £2k was a lot back then.
Biggest mistake I made was telling my old man – he made me pay my digs and didn’t give me spending money for months.

I was advised to back Alary way back last week. Managed to get 33/1 with Stan James who were offering 1/4 odds 1,2,3.

You can still get 33s this morning and that should have another zero on it total bridal horse week finisher that’s how it’s hardly won a race
