BETFRED say bookies have edged ahead in the annual battle between punters and bookmakers at the Cheltenham Festival.
The bookies came into day three on the back foot after a disastrous Wednesday but got a result in the opener when Taquin De Seuil turned over the heavily-supported Felix Yonger.
Fingal Bay quickly got punters back on track in the Pertemps and they were celebrating again when Dynaste justified favouritism in the Ryanair.
The pivotal race of the afternoon was the World Hurdle where More Of That got the better of Annie Power who was backed all the way down to 11-8 favourite by the off.
Betfred spokesman Andrew Griffiths said: “We got off to a great start in the opener but we faded rapidly as punters roared home Fingal Bay and Dynaste.
“The day hinged on the feature race and More Of That proved to be the ultimate party pooper. It was a dream result and leaves us nicely in front going into Gold Cup day.”
