A tantalising renewal of the most exciting race at the festival in my view: the best chasers going full pelt over the fences with no holds barred. We have no less than three previous winners together with the young pretender in the shape of the favourite Un De Sceaux who was breathtaking last year in the Arkle.
I think there is an outside chance that SPRINTER SACRE can put it up to UDS if he can challenge him nice and early in the back straight and put UDS out of his comfort zone. That’s a big ask though because UDS travels so strongly through his races and if he jumps well (his only two defeats have come when he has fallen) then I think he will be difficult to beat.
I don’t see anyone other than Sprinter Sacre having the class to challenge him in any way so the bets we have already placed are the correct bets I think. UDS will help move our accumulator on after two out of two yesterday and if he slips up it will surely be Sprinter Sacre who picks up the pieces.
Sit back and enjoy this one because it could be something very very special.
