It was nice to jump on the thread on Monday and land a nice deserved winner.

Rattling drifted from 11/8 out to 11/5 and won with just about enough in hand. He got a nice toe into the race when tracking the Archie Watson runner.

He hit the front when they went for home and the line came in time as his market rival started to look like he was getting back on top towards the finish.

I wasn’t planning on sticking anything up again until another big meeting arrived however I’ve had this horse in my tracker and told myself I would be on it next time it ran so here we are..

Sandown 7:15

I’m hoping the Queen's runner, Reach For The Moon, will be worth the wait for anyone following my selection tomorrow.

Before we talk form.. the booking of Frankie surely has to be taken seriously. Special mention to one of my all time favourites Stradivarius who battled hard to add another trophy to the cabinet. What a horse and what a combo they are!

On paper this is a cracking little race despite there only being the 6 runners.

Originally Reach For The Moon was targeted for the Derby but the Gosdens have decided to aim her for Ascot instead due to factors that I won’t get into. Connections feel that she’ll come on leaps and bounds for the recent run when finishing 2nd in a class 1 at Doncaster.

She was a beaten 8/13 favourite that today after being heavily backed in the market but it was still a decent run nonetheless against some decent opposition including Lusail who’s no push over.

In regards to tomorrows field, Harrow, who’s already let me down twice, and Oneforthegutter both look a bit too exposed to be involved here.

That leaves a few others one of which is Akhu Najla who looks an interesting prospect for Roger Varian however takes quite a rise in class and at 5/2 I wouldn’t be anywhere near it, too many question marks. It could rump home and be a top class horse but until I see it I won’t be near it.

The main market rival is the Haggas trained My Prospero ridden by Tom Marquand. I’m a big fan of Tom as a jockey and this is another horse I’ve had in my tracker but my only worry with this one is it ran quite green last time out. Still won the race which makes it a little more impressive but against better opposition tomorrow it could cost her if it happens again. I think it’s a two horse shoot out between my selection and the Haggas runner but I think the Queen's runner should have the upper hand.

Good luck!
