It was unfortunately a losing day for myself with Drop the Anchor unable to land any sort of blow. On the other hand Rizz managed to pick out the winner of that race at 50/1!
Top quality picking that is and hopefully you all had a few quid on that one because they don’t come around that often!
I’ve two selections for Thursday and fingers crossed I can get back to winning ways on Day 3 of the festival.

This is surely a 2-horse race between Bob Olinger and my selection, Galopin Des Champs. I’m struggling to find any sort of relevance for the other 2 and it’s a pity this race isn’t a little more competitive.
The only thing that swerved me Galopin Des Champs' way was his jumping. He’s slicker and faster through the air and I can see him out jumping Bob Olinger tomorrow and have Blackmore of the bridle chasing. My own opinion of course, but that’s how I see this one going.
Bob Olingers' CV of course looks more impressive with him winning his last 5 over fences/hurdles which includes the Ballymore which he won here 12 months ago.
All good runs come to an end and Bob Olinger will need to be on his A-game to outdo my selection, especially with his jumping not being so good recently.

Short priced favourite Allaho won’t need to be up to much to win this I don’t think. If he runs anything like he did last year he’ll smash this field so I’ve decided to look elsewhere and take advantage of the place market.
I’ve decided to take Eldarado Allen to place at 7/4 (3 places). I tipped him up on his previous run to win at Newbury which was over 2m7. I wasn’t totally sure he would stay the extra few furlong that day but I thought he was worth the punt and he repaid me well and stayed beautifully. I can see him out-running his odds and grabbing a place for us in the business end.
Conflated makes this race very interesting as he was the winner of last month's Irish Gold Cup and he’s a fast improving horse for Gordon Elliot. I was surprised he was chosen for this race rather than the Gold Cup itself but Elliot must fancy his chances tomorrow with him.

If the ground was dry and the rain didn’t bucket down all day today I’d have taken Champ. Some jockeys today stated the ground was heavy.
A lot of other tippers are sticking up Flooring Porter who, yes when given an untested lead, can be very hard to peg back and there’s no doubt in my mind D E Mullins will impose those front running tactics tomorrow. My problem with backing him is the ground conditions. I don’t feel his stamina will hold up for them sort of tactics. I may be completely wrong. Only time will tell.
I told myself and said on here last time I tipped up Paisley Park that I wasn’t backing him again. I think my exact words were “He’s a lost cause”
That being said his win here at the end of January in a Class 1 grade 2 hurdle looked to be a revival of some sort. He looked like the Paisley Park we all know. Coming from nowhere to power up the straight and land the spoils.
His engine that day certainly didn’t look a lost cause and has me thinking now if performing like he did here on his previous run he could hold strong claims. So here I am tipping him up…
We know he’s versatile ground-wise and I think he’ll handle the ground better than most in the field tomorrow.
At the age of 10 he’ll have to be at his best and being a bit quirky we arnt always guaranteed that from him. Regardless at 8/1 he’s worth a punt.
Good luck!
