It’s been nothing short of a shambolic Cheltenham festival for myself. A combination of selections running below par and bad luck.
It was a case of bad luck on Thursday as everything I wrote in my write up for Galopin Des Champs was correct he out stayed and out jumped Bob Olinger right up to the last fence until he fell. A fall that was identical to Goshen's famous fall.
The unpredictability of racing coming to haunt me. Then my other selection Eldorado Allen ran a stormer. I had him to place at 7/4 but unfortunately due to the withdrawal of runners bookmakers only paid 2 places and it too was a losing selection.
You need luck sometimes in this game and unfortunately I haven’t had much over the last few days.

Instead of going chasing for the last day I will only have one selection.
Cheltenham 1:30
Fil Dor was unbeaten until he was mowed down by Vauban in the Spring Juvenile but I think he can reverse the placing with that one this time out.
Stamina is a massive factor at Cheltenham and this course will be right up Fil Dor's street.
Prior to losing his unbeaten record Fil Dor was in cracking form and very impressive, and he’s a more experienced horse than those shorter at the head of the market.
That experience will hold him in good heart in this race and he’s definitely the value runner in this field in my opinion.
Good luck!
