AFTER flagged up Keith Dalgleish's winning duo at Hamilton last night I've got two selections online for sunny Brighton today.
Brighton 5.00
BUZZ LIGHTYERE (5.00) has become a regular fixture at Brighton this year, recording form figures of 1-3-2-7-1-2 from six visits, and he has been found another winning opportunity.
His young rider did nothing wrong when beaten a neck by Rock Icon last time and they renew their partnership in this apprentices’ event over a mile. I expect Buzz Lightyere will be ridden handily as usual and odds of around 6-4 seem right against four rivals.
Brighton 3.30
By way of contrast, JIVE TALKING (3.30) makes her debut on this tricky Downs track but she is a winner on quick ground, which is a bonus.
Michael Bell’s filly wasn’t disgraced in a hot Class 2 handicap at Salisbury won by progressive Cribbs Causeway and Jive Talking is the each-way alternative to the favourite.
White Chocolate lost out to Lady Bergamot at Goodwood after a protracted duel over 12 furlongs and this drop in trip should be fine. White Chocolate has been a beaten favourite on her last three starts, all coming on softish ground, and she has been priced up as the jolly once again.
She is probably the form pick but I’m not sure Brighton’s rattling fast surface will suit the grey.
