Before we talk racing I would firstly like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!
As usual we are spoilt for choice on Boxing Day with around 50 races from up and down the country to get stuck into.
It’s very easy to get carried away on Boxing Day from a punting angle and as much as it’s exciting It’s important to keep a lid on it and not throw every dime you have on these races.
Fingers crossed we can pick a winner or two.
I apologise for not having a handful of selections for you all. I simply haven’t had a lot of time to study the card due to some family health issues.
2:30 Kempton
Short priced Epatante leads the market at 5/6. I fully understand that based on her 2020 Champion Hurdle form she’s head and shoulders above the rest of this field but since then she hasn’t been up to much to suggest that she should be as short at 5/6… well in my own personal opinion anyway.
Not So Sleepy and Epatante dead-heated when they last met with punters that day devasted to lose out on Not So Sleepy's price of 18/1.
I think Not So Sleepy's chances in this race depend on a couple of factors, one of course is that he shows up and is at the top of his game but for me it’s the way in which Jonathan Burke decides to ride him. I’m hoping that he takes them from the front and rides him quite bold, which I honestly think he will.
Not So Sleepy stays the trip like a trooper. Kempton is forecast to receive a decent bit of rain which also holds my selection in greater heart as he has form on soft/heavy ground.
11/4 looks the better value bet to me and if ridden like I expect him to be there’s a chance he could have a few of these off the bridle chasing a fair way from home.
My other selection is my old mate Frodon on the King George.

People who know me and who have been following me even before I joined the platform as a tipper know this horse is my all time favourite.
Bryony Frost hasn’t let the whole drama of the media get in her way with her continuing to ride winners and I’m hoping she can continue the fairytale on Sunday.
The combination of horse and jockey is up there with the best. She really does get a proper tune out of him. He jumps like a champ, stays like a champ and when it comes to the straight he’ll take you right to the line.
Although it’s hard and probably wrong to tip a horse who you know isn’t the best in the race I can’t help but stick him up at 11/2. He’s won me so much over the years and never fails to give you a run for your money.
He’s beat these before so it can happen again!
I was surprised to see that Minella Indo will be wearing first time head gear. Connections probably hoping he just needed the run and can bounce back to form again.
Good luck everyone!
Merry Christmas Cairnzy av done Asterion Forlonge at 7s if & it’s a BIG IF he jumps round without taking out a fence he could be a superstar.
Really looking forward to Bravemansgame versus Ahoy Senor that has the makings of a cracker.
