JUST been reading Milesey's tips and it's making me thirsty.
His Outsider of the Day on Wednesday is Vodka Red so if you fancy that get on.
Southwell 3.20
APACHE RISING (nap)
APACHE RISING ran out an impressive winner over this C&D last week and a 6lb penalty might not be enough to stop him taking all the beating again this afternoon. Stands out in this and should oblige despite carrying a penalty for last week’s victory over track and trip. He scored by six lengths on that occasion and will take all the beating if running up to a similar level.
Has won three times from 7f to 1m on fibresand. A winner at 5-2 over this course and distance on his latest outing last month, beating Luv U Whatever by 6l. Carries a 6lb penalty today for that success. Has won twice at Southwell this season.
Wetherby 3.10
REAL MILAN
REAL MILAN can be forgiven his two most recent efforts in strong company, most recently finishing eighth in the RSA Chase at Cheltenham and having looked good in winning his first two starts over fences earlier in the season, Donald McCain’s charge can bounce back to form in the first-time tongue tie today.
Will find this far easier than when well beaten in the RSA Chase at the Cheltenham Festival behind Lord Windermere and co. Put a line through his previous unfortunate experience at Ascot and concentrate on two impressive victories over fences the twice before. He receives 7lb from Danimix and can get back on track here.
Winner of two hurdle races, a NH flat race and two chases from 2m 1f to 3m 1f on ground varying from good to soft to heavy. Well beaten at 20-1 when eighth of 11 on his latest outing in a Grade 1 chase in the Group 1 RSA Chase at Cheltenham over 3m (good to soft) last month. Has won at Ayr and Carlisle this season.
LINGFIELD 4.30
HANDIWORK
Michael Bell’s handicap debutant HANDIWORK, who is unexposed beyond 1m and bred to stay this longer this time. Posted three mid-division finishes in juvenile maidens last term over a mile and should certainly be suited by this major step-up in trip.
The son of Motivator has always looked more of a three-year-old and is a hopeful choice. Yet to place in three starts. Finished 10l behind Debdebdeb when fifth of nine at 12-1 on his latest outing at Kempton over 1m in February.
Kempton 6.0
POLISH CROWN
POLISH CROWN was a beaten favourite on her penultimate start at Wolverhampton but returned from a break in good order when opening her account at the same venue over 6f last month. She flopped at Ayr on her sole start in handicap company last year but the heavy ground that day didn’t suit and she is worth another chance, off 1lb lower, on this faster surface.
Got off the mark in a Wolverhampton maiden on her reappearance and is a leading contender back in handicap company. She makes more appeal than Modern Lady, who usually finds at least one too good and is getting no respite from the handicapper as a consequence. A winner at 3-1 at Wolverhampton over 6f on her latest outing last month, beating Sixties Queen by 1/2l.
Kempton 6.30
HURRICANE SPIRIT
Hans Adielsson’s string are in terrific form at present and his HURRICANE SPIRIT looks to have been found another good opportunity to supplement the yard’s winners last month. The selection comes out best at the adjusted weights, has winning course and distance form, and gets on well with regular jockey Nicole Nordblad.
Hurricane Spirit has been making hay in similar company recently and won his fourth claimer of the year when scoring over a mile here last time. Has won 13 races from 5f to 1m 2f including 12 wins on polytrack. Won on his latest outing when 5-6fav here over 1m last month, beating Officer In Command by 3/4l. Has won three times this season.
Kempton 8.30
SAM SPADE
The unexposed Sam Spade, who enjoyed a pipeopener over 1m2f in a course maiden, could appreciate this drop in trip, and starts life in handicaps off a fair mark this evening Sam Spade is dropped back in distance after failing to make his mark over 1m2f here on his comeback.
Yet to place in three starts. Finished 7l behind Spillway when fifth of nine at 7-1 on his latest outing here over 1m 2f last month.
OUTSIDER OF THE DAY
WETHERBY 5.10
VODKA RED
Placed in a hurdle race from three starts. Beaten 12l by Kissing Clara when second of eight at 25-1 on his latest outing in a selling hurdle race at Stratford over 2m (good to firm) in August 11.
Milesey (Betfair)
Milesey I bet a horse a few weeks ago called Jewelled and it was an unlucky second,Iv been waiting for it to run again,it is out tomorrow at Lingfield 5pm race..what do you think its chances are..I cant see a price for it on Ladbrokes
Sorry mate i did have a look earlier, Seb sanders on board has a chance think it was about 4.6 on the exchange, but a lot of money has already been coming in the Richard Hughes ride in that race, and also William Carsons ride Brimestone Hill.

John Smiths Grand National, 4.15 Aintree 6th April 2013.
40 runners will go to post for the Grand National 2013, the annual highlight of the National Hunt calendar and one of the biggest and most historic occasions in the world of sport.
Last years winner Ballabriggs will be among the field competing in the stamina sapping four-and-a-half mile race over 30 treacherous fences.
Leading online bookmaker BetVictor is paying two extra places on this year’s Grand National when punters will receive 1/4 odds a place 1,2,3,4,5,6.
The offer is available to each way bets placed on the race from 13:00 on Tuesday 26th March 2013.
JOIN TOGETHER 20-1
Paul Nicholls has always referred to this horse as a staying chaser in the making and his run in the Becher Chase seems to underline those potential qualities. Just held by the gallant Hello Bud at Aintree he looks likely to improve further when tried over extreme distances and his generally clean and efficient jumping marks him down as a horse to watch closely for the Grand National. The handicapper does not appear to have reacted too unfavourably to Join Together’s Becher run so connections must be very hopeful of following up on the stable’s fine win the Grand National.
RARE BOB 33-1
Rare Bob has been a useful handicapper for Dessie Hughes. The Highlight of his career so far is a win a 42k race at Leopardstown in 2010/11. All Rare Bobs wins have come on soft or heavy ground but that is not to say that this is horse is a mudlark as he has run some fine races on good ground. He has finished fourth in an Irish National as well as running good races in the John Smiths Handicap at Aintree in 2010 and again in 2011. This shows that good ground would not be a handicap to him in the Grand National. More of a concern would be the form he showed at the track when tackling the Becher Chase of 2011. Rare Bob’s trainer Dessie Hughes has a fine record in that race and so Rare Bob’s participation was highly anticipated but he weakened badly after the third last and was beaten over sixty lengths into fifth place. Dessie Hughes record over the Aintree fences in recent years would mean that this horse deserves consideration but his performance in the Becher Chase would dampen enthusiasm.
QUISCOVER FONTAINE 50-1
Quiscover Fontaine finished sixth in the 2010 Arkle Chase at Cheltenham to Sizing Europe so has obviously always been well regarded, Quiscover Fontaine was given an entry in the 2011 Grand National but ultimately did not take up that engagement, connections preferring instead to run in the Irish National at Fairyhouse. Willie Mullins had previously kept the French bred gelding at distances up to 2m 5f so his chances at Fairyhouse were rather unknown with relation to him getting the trip. As it turned out he stayed well to finish fourth behind Organisedconfusion. Willie Mullins did run him in the 2012 Grand National and Quiscover Fontaine was still going well when falling at the 17th fence. That run was rather ignored by most pundits as he was a relative outsider but he was still in with a great chance when he came down. Like many recent Grand National winners he has been campaigned partly over hurdles this season indicating that connections believe there is some scope with the horse’s current chase rating and he looks a very lively contender and should definitely be of interest to those punters looking to for an outsider with a good chance. Still engaged in the Irish National so make sure your bet is non-runner no bet if you are backing him for Aintree.

Milesey, enjoy your break in Scotland and stay away from those lay-bys Guido mentioned. That’s me for tonight.
cheers mate much appreciated..worth a score I think!!
Jewelled is now very weak in the market and has gone out to 7.0, the money all seems to be coming in for LORD OFTHE SHADOWS 5.2, Brimestone Hill 4.8 , and Fortieth and Fifth 3.8 but i wouldn’t touch that one with Frank Spencer on board.
I reckon Jewelled could finish 2nd or 3rd, but i would take a chance with the richard hughes ride, LORD OFTHE SHADOWS, first time blinkers on for this race.
Milesey
Milesy, what’s your recommended best double for the horses tomorrow (aside from your nap)?
Cheers.
Jewelled was a donkey should have listened to Milesy but I got a 13/2 winner in Ireland so I won enough to fund my footie bets tonight!!!
Robert nothing wrong with sticking to ur own picks/hunches…Milesey has a good strike rate of course but he gets a few wrong as well like.
