ONCE again Milesey hit the bar with yesterday's Lucky 15 with three winners.
That's two days running so let's hope he can get a full house on Friday. Here are his tips so far:
Lingfield 2.0
BONNIE WEE LASSIE 2.3 / 5-4
Lacks the racecourse experience of some of her rivals but her stable is adept with juveniles and the daughter of Exceed And Excel, who is a half-sister to Group-placed sprint juvenile Bonnie Charlie, also makes plenty of appeal on breeding.
Lingfield 2.30
STAND GUARD ( NAP ) 1.68 / 4-6
Has won six of his seven races at plating level since the turn of the year and, even allowing for the moderate grade, such consistency is commendable. His career strike-rate now stands at 21-61. Has won 21 races from 1m 1f to 1m 6f on the all-weather (3 FB, 18 PO). Won on his latest outing when 2-11fav at Southwell over 1m 4f last month, beating Jack Dawkins by 1 1/2l. Three victories this season.
Lingfield 4.45
PIAZZA SAN PIETRO 6.6 / 11-2
Has won 10 races from 5f to 7f. Finished 6l behind My Propeller when fourth of 7 at 11-1 on his latest outing at Yarmouth over 5f (good to firm) in September last year.
Chepstow 5.00
BRAVO BRAVO 9.4 / 17-2
Successful in two hurdle races at 2m 4f on soft ground. Beaten 1l by Market Option when second of 13 at 15-2 on his latest outing in a hurdle race at Ludlow over 2m 5f (good to soft) last month. Has won twice at Chepstow this season.
Wetherby 2.50
ASTEROID BELT 4.0 / 3-1
A winner of a hurdle race at 2m on good to soft ground. Beaten 11l by Dovils Date when second of 8 at 3-1 on his latest outing in a hurdle race at Musselburgh over 2m (good) in November last year. Having his first run for a new stable today, previously with C Grant.
Wetherby 5.10
ULYS DU CHARMIL 4.3 / 100-30
A winner of a hurdle race at 2m 1f on good ground. Finished 13l behind Brick Red when fifth of 12 at 5-1 on his latest outing in a hurdle race at Ludlow over 2m (soft) in January.
OUTSIDERS OF THE DAY
Chepstow 5.30
LOUGHALDER 7.6 / 13-2
Successful in two chases at 3m on soft and heavy ground. Beaten 2l by Emma Soda when second of 4 at 7-4 on his latest outing in a chase at Warwick over 3m 5f (soft) last month. Has won twice at Chepstow this season.
Chepstow 6.0
CLADDING 8.8 / 8-1
A winner at 25-1 in a hurdle race at Newton Abbot over 2m 6f (soft) on his latest outing last month, beating Ledbury Star by 5l.
Wetherby 4.00
SEE YOU JACK 13.0 / 12-1
A winner of a chase at 3m on good to firm ground. Beaten 10l by Crystal Swing when second of 11 at 20-1 on his latest outing in a hurdle race at Huntingdon over 2m 4f (soft) in February.

TODAYS PLACE and WIN
———————
FLORIDA QUAYS in the 14:10 at Chepstow.
This gelding finished seventh to Big Society at Exeter in January. He made some progress four flights from home, but failed to deliver a challenge behind the game winner. He appears to be improving with racing and could run well at a big price.
At present he is trading at 9.4 on the exchange.
Milesey
milesy can you explain lucky 15 betting in football?
Lucky 15:
A Lucky 15 consists of 15 bets involving 4 selections in different events. The bet includes 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 trebles, and 1 fourfold. If only one selection wins, as a consolation returns are paid to double the odds. If all four selections win, a bonus of 10% is added to total returns. For the bonus to apply, all selections must win (none void or non-runners). For each-way bets the consolation is paid only on the win part of the bet. Lucky 15 bets are accepted on horse racing and greyhounds only.
take the ‘Lucky 15′ for example you have to choose 4 different games. Let’s call them G1, G2, G3 and G4 if you put £15 pounds on a ‘Lucky 15′, then your stake is split up into 15 equal parts of £1, making 15 different bets. So you are putting 4x£1 on 4 singles G1, G2, G3, G4. Then you are putting 6x£1 on 6 different doubles G1-G2, G1-G3. G1-G4, G2-G3, G2-G4, G3-G4. Next you are putting 3x£1 on 3 different trebles; G1-G2-G3, G1-G2-G4, G2-G3-G4. And last but not least you are putting £1 on 1 four fold G1-G2-G3-G4.
So in a Lucky 15 where you chose Arsenal & Luton Town to win Chester City to draw and Manchester City to win, if Arsenal and Luton Town did win you would have 2 singles and a double so if Arsenal were evens you would win back £2 from that single if Luton were 2/1 you would win back £3, then you would have £1 going on the double so £1 @ evens = £2 going on to Luton @ 2/1 = £6, plus your £5 from the singles would make £11 return.
As a general rule 2 results will just about get your money back, 3 means you’ve made a small to medium profit, depending on the odds of each selection and all four and you’re in the money!
Milesey
thank you milesy
The T J Smith Stakes, due off at 08:10 BST on Saturday, which features the magnificent Black Caviar…
Timeform’s highest ever rated filly or mare, the unbeaten world champion sprinter Black Caviar returns to Randwick on Saturday for a second tilt at the G1 T J Smith Stakes over 1200m.
Black Caviar rated 136 by Timeform has raced just once previously in Sydney for a memorable victory over arch rival Hay List in the 2011 T J Smith renewal.
On that occasion in front of a 30,000 strong crowd Black Caviar came from well off the speed to run down Hay List after that galloper had established what many believed could be a winning break after topping the famous Randwick rise.
Black Caviar returned to the enclosure amid scenes of adulation seldom seen at Randwick and this afternoon promises to be same.
The mighty mare that has captured the imagination of not only hardened racegoers from around the world but people from all walks of life will again race in front of an expected “full house” this afternoon, coinciding with the opening of the new Randwick grandstand and associated facilities.
Black Caviar will be chasing an unprecedented 25th straight victory, an unbeaten winning run that is the longest in the world for more than a century.
As was the case in the 2011 T J Smith Stakes, the field that Black Caviar races today has considerably more depth than that of her last start in the G1 William Reid Stakes at Moonee Valley with five group one winners engaged amongst her ten rivals.
And although she will again prove too good, she will not have things all her own way, especially with Hay List engaged.
There is not much that can he said about Black Caviar that has not already been written.
Regular rider Luke Nolen will be lining up for his 22nd win atop the mare and she will start odds on in betting for the 24th time in her career.
One record she will take in her own right today is the number of career group one victories, an Australian record she currently shares with the mighty Kingston Town on 14.
Black Caviar has raced twice since her heart stopping win in the G1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot last June and from all accounts, for the first time in her career she is injury free.
Fresh up she won an unprecedented third G1 Lightning Stakes in track record time at Flemington from Moment Of Change, the only horse to do so and then easily accounted for Karuta Queen and Fawkner at Moonee Valley.
While she has not had to reproduce her 136 master Timeform rating in either of those two wins, she did run to 133+ in the Lightning Stakes. Black Caviar might get close to her master figure today if emerging sprinter Bel Sprinter continues to improve off his impressive fresh up victory in the G1 Galaxy a fortnight back and Hay List brings his “A” to town.
Before this preparation, Bel Sprinter had promised much but always seemed to be the victim of bad luck in his races. Prior to resuming this campaign, the gelding had a mild throat operation that increased his airwaves and the result was there for all to see, staging a winning performance not often seen in group one company.
After missing the jump in the Galaxy over 1100m at Rosehill and settling a clear last, the gelding was aided by a fast up front tempo allowing him to make up ground rapidly in the early part of the straight.
Under Kerrin McEvoy, Bel Sprinter descended quickly on the leaders from near last to claim smart sprinter Snitzerland at the 200m mark before racing away to win untroubled by more than three lengths.
Today he steps up a 100m in trip but his winning chances would be greatly enhanced if the speed is on from the start, enabling him to possibly “ambush” the leaders late.
Bel Sprinter ran to a new Timeform peak rating of 126 in the Galaxy but will have to go several pounds better if he is to seriously trouble the mare.
Likely leaders in the race are Rain Affair (Timeform rated 126) and Hay List (132) with the latter likely to take it up from his outside barrier.
Hay List resumed off a long layoff of almost twelve months due to injury and illness when he contested the G2 Challenge Stakes over 1000m at Warwick Farm a month ago finishing fourth behind Snitzerland.
On that occasion he led early and into the home straight until his condition faltered 200m from home when claimed by the winner.
Hay List will have derived considerable benefit from that run but still probably lacks race fitness to fully test Black Caviar as he has done in the past, particularly in view of his recent trials that have not been as impressive as they should have been.
Still his appearance adds considerable interest to the race.
Of all the runners in the race, the likely dead to slow track conditions will best suit the speedy Rain Affair.
The handy galloper is unbeaten on rain affected ground from all six attempts and although winless in the last twelve months looks set to bounce back to top form this afternoon.
Rain Affair is second up today after finishing fourth to champion three-year-old Pierro in the G1 Canterbury Stakes over 1300m at Rosehill three weeks back, a run that will have him much fitter for his clash with the big mare.
It is worth noting that at this time last year, Rain Affair pushed the highly promising Atlantic Jewel right out in the G1 All Aged Stakes at Randwick in one of the tussles of that Carnival.
A repeat effort here will ensure Black Caviar has to at least raise a sweat.
For many racegoers, today’s race could be the last opportunity they have to see Black Caviar race in Sydney. Sit back and savour the moment.

WOLVERHAMPTON PLACEPOT
**********************
17:50 – Likely favourite Jontleman was a major disappointment on his reappearance at this venue just over a fortnight ago and, for all that it is possible to make excuses for that, we may be best served in taking him on with both Carrera and Spirit Of Parkes. The first mentioned makes plenty of appeal on pedigree, being a half-brother to Irish 1000 Guineas winner Samitar and Albany Stakes winner Nijoom Dubai, and he has shown something to work on in his two starts to date whilst Spirit Of Parkes, who is out of the prolific five furlong winner Lucky Parkes, is of definite interest on debut with this being such a weak event, despite him having to be withdrawn on his intended debut in August after giving trouble at the start.
18:25 – Petersboden probably doesn’t have much in hand from his current mark but he has gradually progressed with racing and is pretty consistent, so he appeals as being an ideal starting point from a Placepot perspective. It’s also worth sticking in Mr Plod, who hasn’t scored for over two years but is now below his last winning mark and has run well on his two starts this year, so there is no reason why he shouldn’t go close once more.
19:00 – Bang Tidy and Tenbridge are the two we want on side with the former arriving here on the back of two good efforts, taking advantage of a sliding mark to score over C&D in December before finding only the unexposed Spark Of Genius too strong in January. Tenbridge is 5 lb higher than when finishing third on her most recent outing but she is still on a pretty lenient mark and she ought to go well from a good draw in stall two.
19:30 – Tetbury makes his first start for David O’Meara here, having previously being trained in France by Pascal Bary, but there is a chance that he could be carrying a larger chunk of the pool than he deserves to be, given that he is a fairly difficult one to assess. We will instead side with Continental Divide, who has shown plenty to work on in two starts to date, and Unex Modigliani, who made a promising debut at Yarmouth 11 days ago and is open to improvement.
20:00 – Taglietelle is likely to catch the eye of many but he needs to pull out a bit more if he is to trouble a couple of these so we are quite happy to take him on with McBirney. The six-year-old seemingly failed to stay 2 miles last time and, for all that he is now 6 lb higher than for his last win, he was competitive off much higher marks in his younger days and will be suited by this drop in trip, so he looks to have an excellent chance of at least making the first two.
20:30 – Hopefully the curse of the customary non-runner in a field featuring five horses doesn’t strike here but, even if it did, we would still be fairly confident that Hartwright could do the business. The three-year-old overcame traffic problems to get off the mark at the fourth time of asking at Wolverhampton in October and, when considering that he remains open to further improvement, he really ought to add to his tally here.

IPL CRICKET TIPS
***************************************************
Mumbai Indians v Pune Warriors India
Start Time: Saturday 13 April 2013, 11:30 BST
TV: Live on ITV4 and itv.com
Mumbai Indians
For all of the concerns about the age of their side, Mumbai look to be a formidable side this year. Players have been queuing up to sing the praises of Ricky Ponting as captain, Dinesh Karthik seems to be relishing the number three role, their only defeat was by a mere two runs and even the failure of Sachin Tendulkar (24 runs at an average of 8.00) has gone un-remarked as they have taken second place in the table. Even Ponting and Harbhajan Singh have kissed and made up. Factor in a bowling attack featuring Lasith Malinga – still one of the most feared one day bowlers in world cricket – Harbhajan, Indian Test star Pragyan Ohja and even Australia’s much-maligned Mitchell Johnson and you have a team which is a real force to be reckoned with.
Pune Warriors India
Pune won for the first time in 11 IPL matches on Thursday, pulling off arguably the biggest surprise of the competition so far in downing Rajasthan Royals by the comprehensive margin of seven wickets. There’s no coincidence that Yuvraj Singh was missing for ten of those eleven losses and he played a vital part in the defeat of Rajasthan, picking up the key wicket of Rahul Dravid and then hitting an unbeaten 28 from 23 balls to see them home. The real star with the ball, though, was Rahul Sharma, who took 2-16 and if he can find some consistency he will pose a challenge for Mumbai. Expect few changes from that side for this game, although MItchell Marsh may give way to Marlon Samuels if the latter is fit again.
Venue and conditions
It is going to be a warm evening in the Wankhede Stadium, with very little cloud cover. Batting first is definitely the thing to do here as any movement with the ball tends to come in the second innings. Mumbai put up over 200 in their last innings here and there’s every chance of this game being a run fest.
Match odds
Mumbai are, understandably, hot favourites for this game at 1.64, with Pune a long priced second at 2.38.
Top Mumbai batsman
Karthik is the third highest run scorer in the tournament so far with 183. He also has the highest strike rate of any of the top 20 batsmen at 166.36 – higher even that the likes of Chris Gayle. There’s a Tendulkar-based double whammy in backing him – his odds will be longer just because of the number of people who will back Sachin no matter what form he is in, but Tendulkar’s poor form means that he will be likely to get to the crease good and early. Back him at around 4.25.
Top Pune batsman
The absence of Samuels due to injury gave a chance to another overseas player and Aaron Finch took his opportunity with alacrity, blasting 64 from 53 balls to take Pune to the edge of victory. For the first time in the tournament a Pune batsman not only looked in decent form but looked like they knew how to bat in a Powerplay. At around 4.1 he’s a good price to repeat the feat on a batsman-friendly track.
Recommended bet:
Back Dinesh Karthik at around 4.25 to be top Mumbai batsman
******************************************************
Chennai Super Kings v Royal Challengers Bangalore
Start Time: BST (15:30)
TV: Live on ITV and itv.com
Chennai Super Kings
After surprisingly falling short in a run chase against Mumbai, Chennai got their 2013 campaign moving with a facile victory against Kings XI Punjab. Today’s opposition will be much tougher but, after the way Murali Vijay and Mike Hussey chased down the target, it is clear that any team is going to have trouble restricting Chennai. Even if the top order fail, CSK can call upon Dhoni, Jadeja and Bravo from number five, which brings almost any target within range and allows everyone to attack. For that reason, CSK are generally a better bet when batting second, although a bowling attack spearheaded by Dirk Nannes and Ravi Ashwin is capable of doing damage on their own.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
With three wins from their first four matches, RCB are well set for another top-four play-off place. This away trip to the champions, however, is easily their hardest task to date. Now AB De Villiers has had a few days to settle in, Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli now have the back-up to chase down almost any total. With the ball, Vinay Kumar has been one of the stars of the tournament so far, changing the course of a couple of matches by bowling economically at the death.
First Innings Runs
Predicting the first innings total at Chennai is never straightforward. Some very high totals have been seen here, twice over 200 last season, but they owed as much to the hosts’ brilliance as the ground. Five of the last 11 first innings here were under 150 and the pitch against Mumbai was pretty slow. Because both batting line-ups are so strong, I could see the market being pitched too high and if so, laying 160 or more could be worth an interest
Match odds
These two teams could provide the perfect advert for IPL with some spectacular hitting. If it boils down to big totals, I would prefer Chennai because they bat so deep. Even Ashwin, coming at nine, is a dangerous slogger. Equally, if as expected, this is a low scoring match, the Chennai bowling attack would be slightly preferred. Dirk Nannes, for example, is well capable of stifling Gayle’s early impact.
Top Chennai batsman
MS Dhoni and Mike Hussey have claimed top bat honours in CSK’s two matches to date, so perhaps today it will be Suresh Raina’s turn from this all-star line-up. Batting at number three and prolific in past IPLs, Raina is always a solid bet around the 4.6 mark.
Top Bangalore batsman
This market has been won twice each by Gayle and Kohli so far, but today it might be worth looking further down the order. Nannes will present a serious new-ball threat so it may fall upon the middle-order to rescue Bangalore. I’ll go for sometimes number five and big finisher Moises Henriques at 11.0
Recommended bet
Back Chennai @ 1.8
