MAKE ON MADAM (2.30) rarely seems to miss a summer meeting at Beverley and she is reunited with Silvestre De Sousa with another winning opportunity within her grasp.
SDS was on top when Les Eyre’s mare scored over course and distance a couple of outings ago and she is at her best on very fast ground.
The champion jockey is also on DETACHMENT (3.30) for the same stable and the gelding is another Beverley regular, as are several of his opponents. There is little separating Detachment from Zlatan and four-time course and distance scorer Bollin Ted on form behind Bit Of A Quirke and I might play each-way depending on how the market develops.
At Newbury this evening MAKAMBE (8.10) looks too big a price. Charlie Hills dropped him into a handicap at Doncaster and Makambe shaped with promise in fifth behind Roger Varian’s Flavius Titus. He was one place behind Party Fears Too, a Hamilton scorer last week, while third horse Los Camachos ran a fine third in a better handicap at Newmarket on Saturday.

Hi John, what are your thoughts on this?
https://www.independent.ie/sport/golf/american-golfer-bryson-dechambeau-faces-investigation-for-using-a-protractor-37050976.html
I don’t see a problem with it, I always say no matter what you do the more info you have the better, you can never have too much info, others may not like it because he is different and because they can’t do what he does,
I see it as a bit like card counting, while card counting isn’t illegal you can still get banned from casinos for doing it and all because they don’t like someone who has an advantage through being able to do something a lot of people can’t do.
Who knows maybe in the future the bookies will say that I have an unfair advantage because of all the extra aspects of sport I research that others don’t think about looking at
Fascinating stuff John.
Bit of money for Silver Quay today, as low as 4/1 now, could he even get backed in favourite
Great nap johnb
Aye cheers John, wee double on with your Nb too. ?
Was the jockey at fault for the NB John?
He could have done things differently but we can’t blame him as he did what he’s taught
