GOING NATIVE (1.20) can put her Fibresand experience to good use in a modest contest at Southwell.
She finished third to Andrew Balding's Aiya over course and distance 18 days ago when having her first outing for Olly Williams. The form of that race has worked out okay and Going Native should have the measure of the William Haggas-trained Imperial Red. He has shown nothing so far but first-time blinkers may have the desired effect.
Ed Walker used to train Going Native so he should know where he stands with Isoletta, third at Lingfield in December.
LEAN ON PETE (3.40) is another horse with solid form figures at Southwell.
Ollie Pears's gelding chased home subsequent winner Star Ascending before going one better just before Christmas when taking the measure of Mister Showman. A 3lb rise is fair.
Lean On Pete meets slightly superior opposition today but they all lack vital track experience.
INDIGO PRINCESS (4.10) is the best handicapped horse of the day following her excellent second at Chelmsford City on Saturday evening.
Mick Appleby's mare raced from 8lb out of the handicap when splitting the 80-rated pair Spinning Melody and Coillte Cailin, and races off 58 here. If she can translate that Chelmsford City form to Fibresand, she is a good thing.

Holly Bush Henry ensures “£50,000” payout for Phil Middleton
Having arrived by helicopter, the Aylesbury handler could become accustomed to such luxury after the 5-2 favourite’s half-length victory in the Wendling Handicap Chase under jockey-of-the-moment James Bowen.
He said: “I had a £100 each-way Yankee as Mark (Lowther, joint-owner) had a party at Ascot on Saturday. I had Jenkins, Drumcliff, Acting Lass and a non-runner in the last (Santini). Then I had a £200 each-way accumulator with those three and Holly Bush Henry. I’ve not worked it out but I reckon it’s more than £50,000 for both bets.”

It’s been the strangest of tournaments and surely it’s Fed’s now.
Expected Anderson to lose in first round to Anderson so he’s done brilliantly.

The racing public await the naming of Churchill and Clemmie’s full brother
It is alway hard to get a sibling of a good horse to be as good which is why it was good to see Clemmie doing so well but to get a good sibling of two really good horses is even harder and never guaranteed
We all wait
Debutant fibresand runners, it’s all about the way they move, just a bit like me on the dance floor
