CRITICAL THINKING (7.25) is worth supporting on an interesting evening card at Wolverhampton.
He was beaten more by the draw as anything else here five weeks ago and is much handier berthed this time. Critical Thinking had to be gunned out of the gate to overcome a wide pitch and was then sent for home too early by his young apprentice, weakening in the final 100 yards.
Steve Donohoe will be able to ride a more conventional race starting from stall two and this slightly shorter trip should suit as well.
MARATHA (7.55) is becoming something of a specialist at this 1m 1f trip and could well defy another slight rise in his handicap mark.
Stuart Williams' four-year-old quickened smartly to score from Perfect Soldier at the Christmas fixture and ran another cracker when making hot-pot Mount Tahan pull out all the stops in mid-January
RUN WITH PRIDE (8.25) is worth an each-way investment at odds of around 8-1.
Derek Shaw's sprinter ran third to improving Oriental Lilly at Newcastle a week ago and went down by a neck to Swendab here in December. Stall two is perfect.

Victor Estrella Burgos 14/1 Betway (main bet)
Nicolas Jarry 20/1 sportingbet (saver)
Today’s Bet
Facundo Bagnis v Nicolas Jarry 5pm
Nicolas Jarry to win 4/5 paddy power
Both players love the clay surface which is probably why they are so close in the betting, but Jarry is by far the better player on a surface this fast “this is the fastest clay court on tour”
Altitude plays a big part in tournaments and Jarry plays well at altitude but probably not as well as Victor Estrella Burgos who has won here the last three years and has a 15-0 record here
I wouldn’t be surprised to see a tie-break in the first set between Bagnis and Jarry with both good servers but the recent good form of Jarry “best form of his career” should be a factor in the final result
This bet is odds on so it must be a good one for me to back it
With the current weather in Quito this match may not get played today
Johnb,
Thanks good work nickolas jarry ?
MINT…
John, there’s far too much attention paid to mainly sire, rather then dam.
A lot of jockeys are already beat mentally if they believe the sire didn’t operate on the going. Every horse needs to judged individually and France are leading the way at the minute with regards to the influence of the dam before sire.
