MY headline tip, Fleetwood Jack was a pleasing winner at Hamilton yesterday and today there's one horse that catches my eye at Chepstow.
Chepstow 5.10
There has been a bit of rain around at Chepstow and that will aid the cause of MEYANDI (5.10).
Andrew Balding's colt has been lightly raced and was having only his fourth career start when running Firestorm close in an amateur riders' contest at Newbury at the end of July. Meyandi was returning from an 80-day break and he is a bit of value against warm favourite Starshell.
Sir Mark Prescott trains the son of Sea The Stars and this will be Starshell's first outing on turf, having shown promise on artificial surfaces. The gelding could be chucked in here but Meyandi has proven form on soft ground, so any more of the wet stuff would be a bonus.
