MAMA AFRICA (1.0) can continue David Barron's hot streak in a fascinating mile handicap at Southwell.
Barron saddled a double at Wolverhampton on Saturday (Twin Appeal and Swift Emperor) and Mama Africa took to Southwell's deep surface like a duck to water when scooting seven lengths clear of modest Nellie's Dancer in a 7f maiden at the end of October.
She likes to get on with the job and Medici Moon looks the only other possible pacemaker.
Archie Watson has enjoyed a terrific year and Mach One is sure to figure under a 6lb penalty for his recent course success over the reopposing Muqarred.
Mach One dwelt quite badly and was pushed along in the early stages before making relentless headway to strike the front inside the final furlong. On the debit side Mama Africa is in receipt of a hefty 11lb once Jane Elliott's 5lb allowance is factored into the equation.

Ladies First was slowly away over course and distance but ran on steadily into second spot behind Simon Crisford's very easy winner Ghaseedah. Her track experience counts for a lot.
Jack The Truth returns from a long lay-off with a chance but the two three-year-old fillies look well in with their sex allowance.

You’ve just commented on Alan’s thread. Comments are active on every post – that makes it a discussion thread.
I brought Alan on board because I know he’s a good tipster – Johnb is also a good tipster who is going through a bad spell.
Alan has every sympathy for Johnb as a fellow tipster and some of the comments are uncalled for.
The headline only says Alan’s tips doesn’t mention anything about talk or discussion for some reason people are not noticing it or there would be a lot more comments on Alan’s winners.
As for Johnb it’s very hard to have sympathy for a guy on this horrendous run who just continues to blame it on just bad luck bad luck does not produce these stats on a huge percentage of Favs.
I’m sorry but I don’t get what you are saying. Both are given the same prominence and both allow comments to be made in the same way.
What Alan won’t do is spend hours checking comments and he won’t get that involved in discussions due to his other commitments.
