LORD CAPRIO (8.15) was given a less-than-inspiring ride when runner-up to Bad Dog at Newcastle in early February but compensation awaits this evening.
He was held up last of the five runners, allowing Bad Dog an easy lead. Lord Caprio got going too late and was only half a length down at the line.
Lord Caprio's chief market rival Elixsoft beat Bad Dog by the same margin in mid-January but they met at level weights that day. Lord Caprio was trying to give Bad Dog 15lb, so my selection is clearly well in.
