WITH four terrific days looming at Doncaster, culminating in Saturday's mouth-watering St Leger, I've resisted the temptation to get involved in some low-grade stuff lately.
However, HAREBELL (3.55) is too tempting a price to go unsupported at Leicester. She is often her own worst enemy, pulling hard in the early stages, but Pat Dobbs got her fairly settled when coming through late to beat Amlad and Wasatch Range at Windsor in July.
She never got competitive in a muddling affair at Salisbury last time but the key here could be the lively gallop likely to be set by headstrong Medalla De Oro, a dual Windsor winner but up in the ratings as a result, which will help Dobbs to switch off Harebell for a late thrust.
