FINTRY FLYER (8.15) drops into the basement Class 7 grade at Newcastle and she is fancied to maintain Jim Goldie's hot streak.
Irish raider Blastofmagic has been installed 6-4 favourite in most books on the back of his short-head second at Lingfield on Wednesday when he threw away what looked certain victory by idling in front after nipping two lengths clear.
He was caught by Something Lucky but the bookies may have got their sums wrong as Fintry Flyer had Something Lucky three lengths adrift when they finished third and fifth respectively over course and distance last month.
Goldie also saddles TOMMY G (7.15) in the 7f handicap and the five-year-old looks a solid each-way punt.
Dropped to five furlongs here last time, Tommy G had the speed to lead just after halfway until collared by Rosina. That was only his second start since October, so he is entitled to strip a little sharper this evening.
He scored over seven furlongs at Ayr in May and also ran third at Ascot over the same distance later in the summer.
Waarif was pipped on the line on his last visit to Gosforth Park and looks sure to be involved, while Mansfield pulled too hard for his own good when failing to land some hefty bets at Wolverhampton. He is a potential market springer with Franny Norton again booked by Michael Wigham.
Over the sticks, THE VOCALIST (4.00) meets her own sex after chasing home previous winner Roksana in a novice hurdle at Fontwell.
Nicky Henderson's mare carries the Million In Mind Partnership colours after landing a Carlisle bumper when trained by Stuart Crawford. The Vocalist is in the right hands to make her mark at this game.

Thanks to our American followers we managed to save two horses from slaughter this morning. Sadly though we couldn’t do anything about the nine thoroughbred racehorses who are three days away from being shipped to Mexico where they will be slaughtered for meat, we managed to confirm that one is a 3yo and another is a 5yo, the rest looked the same ages
