Lingfield 2.25
MELODIC MOTION (2.25) can make a winning Polytrack debut by lifting the 1m 5f fillies’ Listed contest at Lingfield.
Ralph Beckett saddled two in the Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster in September and it was his 25-1 outsider Alyssa which prevailed.
Melodic Motion finished right on her heels in a tight finish and she will find this task a little easier.
A three-time winner this summer, Melodic Motion ran a fine race at Glorious Goodwood, finishing third to Endless Times and Dubka in the Group 3 Lillie Langtry Stakes.
Cribbs Causeway has been a revelation since her very easy course victory in June off a mark of 68, moving through the ranks to her current 95 official perch. I can see her going well.
Dance The Dream got the better of Top Tug at Leicester on Monday and is clearly in great heart.
Lingfield 1.20
There is another interesting fillies and mares Listed event on the card and last year’s winner MUFFRI’HA (1.20) has every chance of following up.
She was sent off a strong 5-4 favourite 12 months ago, leading three out before winning readily. This looks a slightly stronger renewal but Muffri’ha runs the track well, having finished a close second to Realtra over a furlong shorter in April.
Muffri’ha ran third to classy Decorated Knight at Meydan in March and holds seventh-placed Promising Run, despite a 3lb swing in the weights.
Lingfield 3.30
SIR GNET (3.30) can go close in the second division of the 1m 2f Class 5 handicap.
The son of Galileo has disappointed when well backed on a few occasions but this drop in trip after two solid efforts over 1m 4f could do the trick for Ed Dunlop’s colt. Sir Gnet wasn’t beaten far when sixth to Pioneertown in a stronger event at Newcastle.
