ALAN reckons old stager Pharoh Jake can prove a class above his rivals at Lingfield in one of our man's three Wednesday fancies.

Lingfield 3.20

VIOLET’S LADS (3.20) has a good opportunity to finally break her duck in the maiden handicap. She has racked up numerous second places at Lingfield, the latest coming at the end of December when narrowly defeated by Chico De La Noche. Violet’s Lads filled the runner-up spot at Kempton a fortnight ago, so she arrives in good nick.

Lingfield 4.20

PHAROH JAKE has been a grand servant to John Bridger at the basement level, especially around Lingfield. The 11-year-old can still go a fair lick, scoring over course and distance earlier this month before another fine run (second) just 12 days ago. The draw has been kind in stall two and the old boy is far more consistent that most of his opponents in this pretty dire Class 7 sprint.

Wolverhampton 5.45

GRAVITY WAVE is interesting in the claimer at Wolverhampton. Silvestre Kirk’s gelding scored over two miles here in the summer and wasn’t beaten too far when down the field behind Unit Of Assessment at Kempton more recently.

    gravity wave…

runs over 12 furlongs on the aw. runs in class 5. runs off 69.

ran 3rd over CD in july off 3lbs higher. that third was 7 lengths off of 2nd. he beat a horse whose best performance was up 3f, winning off 66, rated 66 when facing alan’s selection.

alan’s pick last 6 results – 5,7,11,7,6,8. LTO, the 8th place was from 4lbs lower (taking claim into consideration).

all this and he is a 2nd favourite… unreal, and just a word for people to not bet blind, do some research and save money.

havent analysed any other runners as race now going off but yeah, not very convicing, hope it wins for anyone on.
