GIVEN CHOICE is a previous winner at Wolverhampton and an action replay is on the cards. Simon Crisford’s filly cut out much of the running at Chelmsford City last time but had no answer when Aircraft Carrier swept past at the furlong pole. That was still a good performance and this looks less onerous.
Musselburgh 1.25
NEFYN POINT (1.25) has his easiest task for some time and looks a ready-made winner for the lucrative Donald McCain-Brian Hughes partnership at Musselburgh. He wasn’t beaten far when fifth to Skipping On at Sedgefield on Boxing Day and a repeat of his third here in mid-December would probably be good enough.
Musselburgh 1.55
HENRY’S JOY was beaten a length by John Williams over course and distance last month and that looks the best piece of form on offer in a modest handicap chase.
Musselburgh 2.25
URBAN KODE (2.25) has been a grand servant for Lucinda Russell and he runs Musselburgh really well. The old boy is dropped in distance following two placed efforts here over longer trips and Thomas Willmott’s 7lb claim is an added bonus.
Musselburgh 3.0
BALLYCRYSTAL COURT tackles three miles for Nicky Richards and his close second to Golden Jeffrey here last month was a solid effort. The gelding has winning Musselburgh form for previous trainer Sandy Thomson and should cope with this extra distance.
