POET’S DAWN (3.15) is holding his form well after a busy but productive summer campaign and Tim Easterby’s gelding is fancied to score at Musselburgh on Sunday.

The three-year-old was a close fourth to Knighted in what looked a superior event at Redcar 11 days ago. Poet’s Dawn was headed on the line by Pepys at Beverley under a 6lb penalty for scoring decisively the previous week.

Easterby saddles another potential winner in FASHION THEORY (4.10), not seen since a strong-finishing fourth to Masham Star in a Class 3 contest at Redcar in August. She was beaten less than a length by Waarif at Pontefract in July and will be nice a fresh following a break.

ARCHIVE (4.55) looked all over the winner until collared late by Chebsey Beau over course and distance in early September and although a 4lb rise seems harsh, Brian Ellison’s gelding still looks the one to beat.

At Epsom, STRINGYBARK CREEK (4.45) is in the form of his life and may well defy a 6lb penalty for his convincing Beverley success five days ago under Laura Coughlan.

Recommended bets

  • Musselburgh 3.15  – Poet’s Dawn (9-2, Paddy Power)
  • Musselburgh 4.10 – Fashion Theory (7-1, Ladbrokes)
  • Musselburgh 4.55 – Archive (15-8, Ladbrokes)
  • Epsom 4.45 – Stringybark Creek (5-1, bet365)

Sorry mr f i posted this on yesterdays forum by mistake. Data, please do not chase your loses today you are, and please do not take offence, a prime example of a bookmakers dream. You need to learn to control your gambling and you probly need help. I have seen many good men destroy their lives gambling like you do. You must have lost alot of money ovrr the years and ihate seeing bookmakers take peoples money.

    Fair enough Database.
Reasoning for tip is always a bonus its why I go with Alan’s mostly. He gives you a write up and between that and myself I can decide wetber to bet or not.

On Alan’s 4 today in a Yankee for small stake…of to watch Europe bury the Yanks at the golf, there no great football today either.

Thanks for the post mate. With all the keyboard warriors posting at the moment it’s hard to actually focus on the horses themselves

You cant account for things like that. Clearly the right people didnt want the horse to win, cant fathom another explanation.

My thoughts exactly he’s gone 16/1 for the breeders now because of that, which is a ridiculous price. And could be a very nice ew prospect if that race hasn’t killed him off

Nice tipping over the last few months Uncle Pom. II take it you’ve kept records of previous month’s/years. Is this a particularly good spell?

      July +30.8pts
      August + 62.6pts
      September (so far ) +42
So far since joining the forum.

I was just doing it for myself so all goes in a separate bank account, I run it as a second income/ passion as I only have a min wage job. Feel it would be unfair to post numbers without selections to back this up.

I would say it’s a normal month for me is +20 to +40.

I would actually call this month an average month with a few big races not going my way but that’s racing.

Cheers for the reply. Best of luck going forward. Hope you don’t get too many bookie restrictions. They don’t like anybody making a second income.
