CHAIN OF DAISIES (3.35) comes good at this time of the year and she made all to score by seven lengths at Salisbury last month.

Henry Candy’s mare can make them all go in the Listed event at Yarmouth, with Godolphin’s Winter Lightning an obvious danger on the back of a fine third to Veracious in the Group 3 Atalanta Stakes at Sandown.

At Beverley, ESKENDASH (3.25) makes plenty of appeal. He will no doubt be going hurdling again very shortly but meantime can build on a recent Ripon success (Be Perfect third). On a collateral form line through Multellie, my selection has the measure of prolific winner Weather Front.

SIZE MATTERS (5.35) will go very close if able to repeat his close third behind Start Time and Khelman at Thirsk in mid-August. Ian Jardine’s Don’t Do It did well to split Makawee and Joie De Vivre at Musselburgh but now drops almost four furlongs.

There is some interesting midweek action at Sandown where MISS MUMTAZ (3.50) could well follow up her Carlisle success over Mearing, a subsequent Chester winner.

If you care to forgive a poor effort in the mud at Goodwood, then KNIGHT ERRANT (4.20) makes each-way appeal under Silvestre De Sousa. His earlier victory over Jack Regan has since been franked.
