ICE CANYON gave Alan a nice little 8-1 earner on Friday and he has six fancies for a busy Saturday's racing.
Lingfield 1.15
BREDEN can complete an all-weather hat-trick at Lingfield. Robert Winston has won four times on the gelding and a 2lb rise for beating Brittanic at Chelmsford City is very fair. Breden had a bit to spare at Kempton previously when pulling clear of Michele Strogoff and he has won over this longer 1m 2f trip on the turf.
Sandown 2.25
ELIXIR DE NUTZ (2.25) is fancied to continue Colin Tizzard’s good run by landing the Unibet Tolworth Novices’ Hurdle at Sandown. The gelding strode clear of Jarveys Plate at Cheltenham in mid-December and the runner-up boosted the form in no uncertain terms on a return visit to Cheltenham on New Year’s Day, powering up the hill for a 13 lengths victory.
Likely favourite Rathhill looked useful when winning a Newbury maiden for Nicky Henderson/ JP McManus but Elixir De Nutz sets the bar fairly high.
Sandown 3.0
The veterans’ chase is a much more wide-open event, with 17 runners declared. Last year’s winner Buywise bids to follow up but RATHLIN ROSE (3.00) is the each-way call.
David Pipe has his team in good nick and Rathlin Rose is a three-time course winner. The 11-year-old has been given a nice break since running fourth to Loose Chips in November.
Sandown 3.35
MONSIEUR LECOQ was different class from some modest opposition when landing some hefty wagers at Ffos Las and should be able to handle a rise in grade now going handicapping off what looks a lenient mark. He made all at the Welsh track and similar forcing tactics are likely to be employed.
Wincanton 2.40
TEDHAM moves into handicap company on the back of an excellent second to Getaway Trump in an Exeter novices’ hurdle back in early December. Getaway Trump underlined the value of that form by chasing home the very useful Champ at Newbury last week and Jonjo O’Neill’s five-year-old is a very interesting runner.
Wincanton 3.15
CATAMARAN DU SEUIL can upset a few better-fancied rivals in the BetVictor Handicap Chase. He was taken off his feet by Frodon at Cheltenham but Dr Richard Newland had earlier sent him to Wetherby in search of good ground and Catamaran Du Seuil duly hacked up.
Paul Nicholls is always to be respected at his local track and Copain De Classe isn’t without a chance if you are prepared to forgive a disappointing effort last time.

BOL
calipto has to be worth £2 up 3lb for unseating but has a 7lb claimer in a competitive race.
lithic has 5lbs taken off too at 5/1 also worth £2. runs off 123 with 5lb claim, came 2nd off 123 without a claim over CD, he was 1.25l behind a horse winning off 137 and 2nd off 142 (c2).
lithin there for a while, jumping let her down during race and ultimately fell away.
Elixir de nutz gets home, 🏇 well done alan & uncle pom👍, glad I was on today as I missed the win in December 😊GL 🍀
16/1 nap/nb wins boooooooooom happy days
Well done plug another massive winner. It made so much sense and was smashed in betting that I feared the worst as to what usually happens.
Looked like a good day overall for the tread, i was out off by the market movements to really smash it but still my best day for a while cheers boys.
Big thanks to Alan Elvis and Plug
11/1 10/3 10/3 lucky 15 has paid for my gf birthday and then some.
Thanks again.

showu – down 2lbs, but not much to go with, has raced in class 2, this is class 4
xtara – down 2lbs but up in class technically
beleaguerment – up 8lbs, lost 1l to uncle jerry but 4lbs better off
uncle jerry – main rider on board but means loses 7lb claim and thus shouldnt be winning today based on paper form
wedding date – same mark as winning LTO, but up 1 class but has lost 3lb claimer
wedding date was out well over CD last time, won well and picked up when asked 1.5f out, the selection for me. 3/1
selection too prominent and didnt have enough, didnt look the best when pictures came through, xtara holds on being dropped 2f. uncle jerry loses by a nose.. despite losing a 7lb claim he somehow almost wins, SW Kelly the main man for Hughes and a deadly combo for anyone just establishing their love of horse racing.
Well done winners today, mainly plug and pom, money Thomson and others
Mainly rubbish from me today, only Winston c in the last providing any decent return.
Looks like it helped skyfly so pleased to help him.
Hope your gf has a good birthday mate 🎂🎂
Ps
Anyone got the foggiest what’s going to win the gold cup.
