THE absence of Big Buck’s has left the World Hurdle wide open this year. And also Grand Crus will, runenr-up in the 2011 World Hurdle, will miss the race through an injury. Reve De Sivola has rediscovered his form of old since going back to hurdles after an unsuccessful stint chasing. He won the two commonly associated prep races, the Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham and Long Walk Hurdle, in different styles but both equally impressive. Oscar Whisky is currently joint-favourite. He went for the World Hurdle last season and first impressions were that his stamina had simply run out as he weakened back into fifth. Reve de Sivola and Oscar Whisky fought out the finish of the Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham last time with the latter seeming to outstay the talented Oscar Whisky.
Peddlers Cross is a previous winner at the Cheltenham Festival when taking the Neptune Novices Hurdle back in 2010. He followed up the next year with a cracking second to Hurricane Fly in the 2011 Champion Hurdle, before embarking on a failed chasing campaign. Anyway, he certainly has the pedigree to be very good over this three-mile trip.
Also Quevega has an entry here, but everyone expect this horse to run the Mares' Hurdle. Also Wonderful Charm might take his chance in the World Hurdle (he's the favourite to win Coral Cup).
Get Me Out Of Here has a very solid looking Festival CV and has always looked as though three miles would suit. Forget his last run at Ascot as the veteran hated the ground, but on a good surface come March he is sure to be a very different horse.
Solwhit has exceptional form over 2 miles but has yet to prove his staying ability or liking for the track.
Smad Place was third here last year but has been poor this season.
Bog Warrior, who beat Zaidpour at Gowran this week, would have to be respected if the ground came up very soft.
Reve De Sivola for me here possibly Smad PLace e/w as well
Oscar`s day today, strong pace will suit both Oscar and Reve but i`m hoping Oscar will travel better and just pick up down the back, tough call but at 6/1 at Ladbrokes Oscar is worth the punt.
