Racing Tips: Ananya can oblige again at big odds

IT'S Shergar Cup day at Ascot where different teams of jockeys compete in an unusual team competition. It’s good for racing to have different formats like this to broaden the appeal a bit and whilst it seems strange to the purists once you look at the races there is some good quality stuff on show with excellent prize money.

Ascot 3.25

My first selection comes at Ascot in the 3.25pm. In a competitive handicap there are a few with chances but I’m surprised that BOERHAN is not a shorter price. He has been running in better races than this without looking out of place and this drop down to a class 3 handicap with Danny Tudhope on board will be beneficial for him.

Newmarket 3.45

My second selection runs in the 3.45pm at Newmarket where our friendly filly from a few weeks ago ANANYA runs following her brilliant win last time out. I think she is a filly with decent promise who was overpriced last time and is overpriced again today with this step up into group company. She really looked the part that day and hopefully she can oblige for us again at a similar price.

In addition to the single bets I think I’ll also be doing a small each way double on these selections today given the nice each way shape to both races. Good luck and enjoy today’s racing!
