REALLY do hate the international break, not only does it significantly reduce fixture card for nearly two weeks, it really impacts momentum clubs have built up and allows those struggling to re-group.
There are 10 Euro qualifiers today and I'm with Mr F on Scotland making it a winning start in Kazakhstan despite a host of injuries.
There are a couple of matches that stand out that should delivery some goals:
Austria vs Poland (7.45pm)
The hosts have been impressive at home over the last 12 months and have beaten some decent sides in the that time. They'll be looking to continue their strong record in Vienna against a Poland side who had a tough Nations League campaign.
The Poles have managed to score though in 12 of their last 14 matches away from home and still have some good quality in attack.
Austria should manage to get on the score sheet at least once and if Poland can grab a goal this will definitely deliver over 1.5 goals at what I feel is a reasonable price of 4/9.
Holland vs Belarus (7.45pm)
After the disappointment of missing last year's World Cup, the Dutch have dusted themselves down and are rejuvenated after a terrific last 12 months. They are not only scoring goals but are competing with and beating the big guns again.
They've won 7 of their last 8 at home which includes terrific back-to-back wins in their last two against France and Germany.
Really just a case of how many goals Ronald Koemans's side win by tonight – thats not being disrespectful to Belarus who to be be fair are in good shape with just one defeat in their last 10 international matches, albeit, they haven't played anyone of note in that time.
Holland should continue their great form here.
Recommended Bet
- Austria vs Poland over 1.5 goals
- Holland vs Belarus over 2.5 goals
- 5/4 (Coral) (NAP)
