THE two Champions League and seven English Championship matches dominate Wednesday's card and I agree with others that Real Madrid look a good call to beat Ajax.
But it's the Championship games I'll be focusing on with plenty at stake and hopefully plenty of goals.
English Championship (7 matches)
There are seven matches tonight and although I was struggling to decide which games to go with for goals, Skybet's total goals special appeals especially with plenty of teams in action who score and concede.
- Brentford vs Aston Villa one of those games where we should see a minimum of three goals. The Bees have gone goal daft with their last 6 games seeing an incredible 30 goals scored (19 F 11 A) – all 6 saw both teams score with 5 of the games going over 3.5 goals. Villa themselves love a goal and their leaky defence will likely be breached again tonight.
- Preston vs Norwich and Ipswich vs Derby are two other games where I'm expecting to see goals. Norwich are flying at the moment and are in pole position to return to the EPL. They can thank striker Teemu Pukki for that with his 2o goals scored so far this season. Preston are in god form though and will fancy their chances of netting against the league leaders. It's must win for Derby at League One bound Ipswich and the form they in the should manage a couple of goals (Nathan and Mr F have also posted their thoughts on this game).
The other games are tougher to call but that's the great thing about goals and that's why I like the Skybet total goals market. I'd be disappointed if the above three games didn't deliver 10+ goals, that leaves 8 goals from the remaining 4 games and with 7 matches in total there is always a chance at least one of them goes goals galore.
