BOTH teams netted in Seville on Thursday to make it four out of four for the Betting Club Challenge to take us close to the £100 mark from our original £10 stake.
The key goal was scored by Shakhtar's Eduardo who equalised Gameiro's opening strike for the hosts. That took our total to £96.60 and if you're playing along with me I wouldn't talk you out of cashing out at this stage.
However, my own rules mean I can only cash out once I reach £1000 or after 7 winning days in a row so it's onwards to bet No.5 for me. And this would have been placed on Friday and then Saturday barring technical problems – or brain freeze as it's more commonly known as.
So bet No.5 is on Barcelona -2 at home to Espanyol. When Barca lost to Valencia a few weeks ago I looked at the run-in and tipped them to lift the title by winning their last five matches.
That's three down and two to go and they've won those three to nil and scored 16 goals in the process – most of them by Luis Suarez.
Victories today against local rivals Espanyol and next week at relegation-threatened Granada will guarantee them the title as they have the advantage on head-to-head results with Atletico Madrid.
Espanyol are all but safe and really all they have to play for is local pride. Barca won 4-1 at the Nou Camp in January and have netted at least four in four of the last five home meetings. They should win this by at least 3-0 so for Bet of the Day I'm on Barca -2
Betting Club Bet 5
- £96.60 on Barcelona -2 at 4-9 with Bet365
My Betting Club is for Gold Members only. Each week I try to undertake the challenge of winning as much as I can, starting with £10. If I reach £1,000 or 7 days of wins a row in I'll cash out and bank the winnings. Once a year all the winnings will be divided among selected Gold Members.
Nice one Mr. F
Looks another solid pick on paper Mr F
