French Open betting tips

Day ten of the 2025 French Open is upon us, and it's a day of reflection for British tennis after their last two remaining hopefuls in the singles draw lost on day nine.

Although Cameron Norrie was always expected to come up short against Novak Djokovic, Jack Draper's defeat to Alexander Bublik was a big shock and leaves Britain without a player in the quarter-finals across both the men's and women's draws.

However, it's still an exciting day in Paris, as the quarter-finals are set to begin. Before play begins, check out our day ten French Open betting tips below.

French Open betting tips: Day ten

Lorenzo Musetti vs Frances Tiafoe – Over 36.5 games (5/6)

If this match was played two weeks ago, then I'd be backing Lorenzo Musetti to cruise past Frances Tiafoe without dropping a set. However, it's impossible to ignore how well the American has played on the clay at Roland Garros this week, and he is yet to lose a set in four matches played.

Musetti, meanwhile, plays his best tennis on clay and has also been impressive in his first four matches. This makes it difficult to predict anything other than a tight match, and five sets is certainly on the cards.

Interestingly, on the one previous occasion that these two faced off on a clay court, the match went the full distance in a best-of-three in Rome.

Iga Swiatek 2-1 Elina Svitolina (3/1)

Iga Swiatek is looking good for a fifth French Open title, and she is once again proving why she has no equals on clay. The world number five was rattled early on in her previous round against Rybakina but responded well to come back and win in three sets, and we are backing her against Svitolina to follow a similar pattern.

Svitolina has been involved in some very close matches throughout the tournament, and four of the last six sets she's played have gone to a tie break. She has the heart to dig in against Swiatek, but she will need to start fast and take advantage of any early nerves on the other side of the court.

Carlos Alcaraz 3-1 Tommy Paul (23/10)

Carlos Alcaraz is the narrow favourite to win the French Open with most of the top tennis betting sites, but with Jannik Sinner flying and Novak Djokovic suddenly looking like a force again, he won't want to spend any more time than necessary on court against Tommy Paul in the quarter-finals.

Unfortunately for the Spaniard, he has gotten into the habit of dropping sets at this year's tournament. Three of his four matches at Roland Garros so far have gone to four sets, and Tommy Paul is the best player he has faced so far, which makes another four-setter likely.

The pair have met in a Grand Slam quarter-final once before, at Wimbledon in 2024. That match also went to four sets with Alcaraz coming back from 1-0 down to get the job done.
