MY focus would have been on Perth on Monday and I'm not talking about St Johnstone.
I'd moved 9000 miles from McDiarmid Park to the west coast of Australia where officials' attempts to finish the season behind closed doors have been hampered by the introduction of new travel restrictions.
All eyes are on the A League with fans and punters all over the world starved of football action but could it be the next to go?.
The earlier game game has survived though with Newcastle Jets facing Melbourne City, Former Hibs hitman Jamie Maclaren hit a hat-trick for second-placed Melbourne City at Central Coast on Friday and the league's top scorer is 19-20 at 888sport to score again.
City are four points clear in the race for second and a bye to the play-off semis but Wellington Phoenix have two games in hand – although they won't be able to play any more games at home.
The Jets are struggling to make the playoffs but a win would boost their hopes. I'm going with Sean here and backing both to score but it pays just 1-2 at bet365.
I was planning a Super Single on Western Union not to lose at 13-10 but instead I'll go with Maclaren to score first at – and go double or quits on my 0.9pts profit.
Well done to any winners on Sunday and good luck on Monday.
For racing fans it's good to see the start of the flat season at Naas and good luck if you decide to take a punt. I've got some credits burning holes in various accounts and having turned my attention to the pools at the weekend I shot at the nags could be the next move.
It's either that or Mynamar Under-21 League – there's nothing else on the go on Monday.
0.9pts Super Single
- Maclaren to score first (8.30am)
- (10-3, bet365)
China league should be starting 23 April may well have been said a while back but could be something puntable keep some sanity
Far better off in Perth Scotland ??

Newcastle Jets vs Melbourne
Over 5 FH Asian corners 1.825
BTTS & Over 3 match goals 8/5
BTTS Both halves 17/2
Not too many changes for the jets today so I reckon we’ll see a hard fought game and my thoughts haven’t changed a lot from yesterday’s preview. I’ve a feeling that this might be the last A game as at least 3 states have closed their borders and the NSW where they were planning to play most or all of the remaining games has seen a massive rise in the number of infections. My bets for today are
Melbourne City dc
Btts
21/20 hills NAP
Over 7 corners
10+bp each team
Over 2.5mgs
5/4 bet 365 NB
Few small stakes longshots
Both teams 2+ corners each half 3/1 skybet
Each team over 3 corners/over 1 card
2/1 hills
Each team over 5 corners/over 1 card
8/1 hills
Close but no joy with the longshots
1 NJ fh corner out for bet 1/2 nowhere bet 3
Newcastle Jets v Melbourne City:
MacLaren anytime scorer & Melbourne DC @ 6/5
MacLaren first scorer & Melbourne DC @ 4/1
With Bet365
Nothing today. Sad to see the league shut down.
Today’s match is the last for the A league
Cheers, it’s not a surprise.
There’s a willingness of the clubs and the government to finish the season in NSW only, however it looks like New Zealand are going to implement a travel ban which would mean players and officials from wellington pheonix locked out of the country for months.
Managed to get 16/1 in the 92nd for that Russian friendly just finished a draw.
Will try again on silver stars u21 to score the next goal at a whopping 28/1. Tiny bet. Theyre losing 11-0
Lol must have been a mistake in pricing. Can cash out for 3x profit. Will let it run as 28s is ridiculous
What’s this esports crap is it someone playing a computer game?
Yeah we Got representatives of each football club participating in a FIFA20 tournament at the min and indeed the bookies are offering markets on it. May be the only thing we have to bet on in a week or so. As Darran stated, we should have the CSL back by mid to late April though all being well, I’m a fan of that league and generally good for goals if you pick the right games.
Yeah but some of them get paid very well for doing so.
It might be crap to you and I’m not in to it but in some places it’s massive and taken very seriously.
Any tips Kyle haha
No joy last night,China League will not be going ahead at all as a player has contracted Covid 19 and there has been another outbreak.
Betting on people playing computer games really
4-1 and 3-0 scorelines last night in Nicaragua ?
Probably be cancelled but two Nicaraguan Youth games at 9.30pm:
OVER 2.5 GOALS DOUBLE
(9/10, bet365) ⭐⭐ ✅
?

Chinese football starting in April FS. The country that caused this is now only country clear of it FS… summit not right there.do they have the cure as well… Summit awful iffy about this mystery virus.
It’s not starting at all that’s nonsense, and yes it is iffy.
Jim, barring the great conspiracy theories, it’s a mutation of flu which happens every year to the flu which kills a few thousand every year in this country, normally science can work out how it mutates and have a vaccine ready but this one we don’t, probably natures way of getting back at us. The Chinese will have full control over it’s populous unlike us and the rest of Europe where we don’t believe a blind word our politicians say and generally ignore them. I notice the Chinese have declare military rule in Hong Kong which is part of the country which wouldn’t blindly follow. Personally I don’t think you can point the finger at anyone or an I just too naïve. Still, it’s fun listening to all the conspiracies coming out. No one has mentioned the Russians – they have a remarkably low number of cases and are still playing football.
*martial law*
Its terrorist nothing spreads to 148 countries in such little time.
I think planes flying all over the world might have something to do with it macca .
What from all those countries people visiting China in a winter, righto.
You’d be suprised Macca, you don’t go to many places nowadays without loads of Chinese there, and everyone is more adventurous particularly us oldies.
One of the biggest economy in the world macca . people from all over the word flying in and out of China all the time .

Nice work Sean!
Won’t be long now till every country will be in complete lockdown. The only way to get rid of this virus. Unbelievable how many people are dead from this . and I agree with the guys above there is something very suspicious about this virus.
Just for the craic and also because I had a spare 20 minutes and found it quite interesting studying table-tennis statistics and form ?????
Vlasov A. – Ilyukhin E. (9.30pm)
Ilyukhin the favourite here but what interested me was the prices for lines set on points totals – in 5 of his last consecutive and recent games, he’s easily beaten the line set for later on.
Might mean something…might mean f*ck all ?
ILYUKHIN OVER 39.5 POINTS
(5/6, bet365) NAP ⭐⭐⭐
Best of luck!
