Sundays Football Bet of the Day see’s me begin in Scotland with Celtic who should have too much firepower for Livingston. Then it’s too Portugal and to Porto who should keep up their strong home record and record another comfortable win.
Livingston vs Celtic
🏴 Premiership
⏰ Sunday 19th September, 15:00
Celtic make the trip to West Lothian as they take on Livingston at Almondvale. Celtic come into the weekend currently three points behind rivals Rangers. Livingston on the other hand sit bottom.
Livingston collected their first point of the season last time out, drawing 0-0 away to newly promoted Dundee. Prior to that, Livingston had lost their previous four games, conceding a minimum of two goals on each occasion. That included two 1-2 home defeats against both Motherwell and Aberdeen, and away defeats to both Hibs and Champions Rangers. Last thing Livingston need is a visit off of the leagues top goalscorers Celtic.
Celtic recovered from their old firm defeat by Rangers by comfortably defeating Ross County 3-0. Celtic we’re in action in Europe on Thursday night and despite a promising start, showed their defensive vulnerability’s and got defeated 4-3 by Real Betis. Whilst they might not be tight at the back, Celtic have been banging the goals in and have scored 16 goals in their five league games. 15 of those goals have came against Dundee, St Mirren and Ross County, three sides who are directly above Livingston in the league and whom they’ll be fighting relegation against.
Porto vs Moreirense
🇵🇹 Liga NOS
⏰ Sunday 19th September, 18:00
Porto host Moreirense at the Estádio Do Dragão on Sunday evening. Porto come into this weekend already four points behind Benfica at the top. Moreirense currently sit in 15th and are only one point off the bottom.
After coming from behind to grab a decent point away to Champions Sporting Lisbon, Porto then went to the Wanda Metropolitano and grabbed a credible draw against La Liga champions Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. Porto have won both home games so far this season, scoring five times. Going back to last season, Porto have now won their last eight home games, scoring 22 times. Porto have won their last 12 home games against Moreirense at home, scoring 33 times.
Moreirense remain winless after being held to a 2-2 draw by Famalicão last time out. A big problem for Moreirense is the amount of goals they are conceding. Only Santa Clara and newly promoted Vizela have conceding more than their tally of 10. Moreirense have already lost games against Braga and Benfica, sides that will be battling for the title with Porto. Moreirense lost all four games away to ‘the big 3’ and Braga last season, conceding a minimum of two goals on each occasion.
Bet of the Day
Celtic should have too much firepower for a Livingston side who have started this season poorly and who I think will finish in the bottom two. Celtic have been scoring plenty of goals so far this season and should score at least twice here. Porto are back on home turf and should record a comfortable victory against a winless Moreirense side who have been leaking too many goals so far this season.
- Celtic to score 2+ goals
- Porto to win & over 1.5 goals

As a Celtic fan, just perplexed that so many people back my team on a plastic pitch when through Rodgers, Lennon and now Ange they are terrible on the surface and the RIFC aren’t much better, I could never put money on either on that surface.
