After returning to winning ways in Spain on Sunday, Thursday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Brazilian Serie A, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Fourth-placed Mirassol welcomes 15th-placed Internacional to the Jose Maria de Campos Maia in the early hours of Thursday morning in a fixture that appeals to me for goals at both ends.
Rafael Guanaes’s hosts are the joint third-highest scorers in the Brazilian top flight, firing in 44 goals across their opening 27 matches, with 28 (64%) of them coming on home soil.
The Leao da Alta have found the back of the net in all 13 (100%) of their league outings this term – scoring 2+ goals in eight (62%) of them – and will be confident of continuing that streak when hosting an Internacional backline that is without a clean sheet in each of their previous 10 away matches in the Brazilian top flight.
Ramon Diaz’s visitors have scored 32 goals across their opening 26 Brazilian Serie A fixtures this campaign, with 13 (41%) of them coming on their travels.
Inter have failed to score just five times in the league this season – finding the back of the net in each of their previous 14 – and will look to continue their streak in front of goal against a Mirassol backline that has kept just three clean sheets at home in the league this season, with two coming against the bottom two in the Serie A table.

Given the scoring form these two sides arrive in this fixture with, coupled with their lack of clean sheets, I’m happy to back both clubs to find the target in Sao Paolo in the early hours of Thursday morning.
