Euro 2024 Bet of the day

Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to Stirling, and I like the look of both sides getting on the scoresheet.

⚽️ Stirling Albion vs Forfar Athletic

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 League Two

⏰ Tuesday 21st March, 19:45

Stirling Albion will aim to go top of the Scottish League Two tomorrow evening as they welcome playoff-chasing Forfar Athletic to the Forthbank Stadium.

Stirling just about managed to stretch their unbeaten run in League Two to 10 matches, as they drew 1-1 away at Stranraer on Saturday. Darren Young’s men boast the division's best home record, winning nine of their league outings in front of their supporters (W9-D2-L1) – including each of their previous five. The Binos have found the back of the net in all bar one of those home league fixtures, scoring on multiple occasions in nine of those.

Forfar put an end to their four-match winless run in the Scottish fourth-tier at the weekend, as they defeated third-placed Annan Athletic 2-1 at home. After losing each of their opening three away league games, Ray McKinnon’s visitors have gone on to lose just two of their next nine (W5-D2-L2) – however, one of those defeats came in a 3-2 loss at East Fife in their last away fixture. The Loons have failed to score in just one of their previous 10 League Two tussles on the road – scoring on multiple occasions in four of the last six.

Bet of the Day

Stirling have banged in a league-high 30 goals across their 12 League Two fixtures as hosts and should have enough firepower to add to that tally. However, The Binos have registered just four shutouts in the league this season, and that will give hope to a Forfar side that has failed to score in just one of their previous 10 away league matches.

Ray McKinnon has seen both teams score in nine of his opening 14 (64%) League Two matches in charge at Forfar – and given both teams have obliged in 19/26 (73%) of Stirling’s league contests this campaign – I reckon there is a good chance we’ll see both clubs get on the scoresheet in this one.
