EVER wondered how bookies are sizing up the weekend card. Here's the thoughts from inside camps at 188BET and BetVictor.

There's a look ahead to the Capital One Cup Final on Sunday and a good acca insurance offer from 188BET on fourfolds.

Sunday will see the first trophy of the year handed out in England as Liverpool and Man City meet in the Capital One Cup Final.

While City are the hot favourites at 2.15 (23-20) an inconsistent Liverpool side are more than capable of winning despite their bigger odds of 3.0 (2-1).

German gaffer Jurgen Klopp won’t want to leave Wembley without his team having given it a proper go and will surely have them pumped up for some “heavy metal football” against a City side who can be soft in the middle of defence.

For that reason both teams to score in the Final at 1.78 (about 4-5) is attractive.  All eyes will be on Raheem Sterling after the former Liverpool youngster left Anfield for the Etihad in order to win trophies.

So it will be interesting to see who is going to get the last laugh in this battle of former club and present club.

Sterling has been a little quiet of late but you sense he could be a big- game player and may well step up at Wembley with a point to prove. The England striker is 3.3 to score at any time (23-10) and 8.0 (7-1) to grab the first goal.

And for some added interest and value 188BET are offering a 10 per cent win boost for any winning match bets on the Final up to £50.

With a full fixture programme north and south of the border punters should also be having a good look at 188BET’s February Acca Insurance offer.

Place a four-line
accumulator this weekend and if just one of your selections loses 188BET will refund your stake as a free bet up to £50.

You will see similar offers for accumulators on five or six lines but with 188BET you’ve got added protection on just four picks if one of your teams falls down.

The matches can be from the SPFL, English leagues and top divisions in Spain, Germany, France and Italy. Visit 188BET.co.uk for full details.

Last week we picked out Celtic to beat Inverness 3-0 at odds of 6.3, this weekend we are looking at Raheem Sterling to score anytime in the Capital One Cup Final at 3.3.

St Johnstone’s visit to Pittodrie is the stand-out fixture with the hosts 1-2 favourites to maintain pressure on Celtic at the top of the table.

Aberdeen are bidding to bounce back after last week’s shock defeat that saw them eased to 12-1 for the title. Derek McInnes’s side should do the business against off-form Saints and are 31-20 with BetVictor to win by two or more goals.

Hearts are fancied to stamp their class on Killie at Tynecastle. The Jambos are 4-7 to recover from last week’s defeat to Dundee United. Both Aberdeen and Hearts should win and the double pays 6-4.

Punters can back both sides to win by two or more goals with a £10 double returning £62.50.

The win and both teams to score bet is even more rewarding with the Hearts and Aberdeen double paying £125.40 to a £10 stake.

Livingston travel to Alloa in a massive six-pointer at the foot of the Championship table with Livi 5-4 favourites to turn the Wasps over.

A win would leave Alloa requiring a minor miracle to retain their place in the second tier but a draw looks likely.

A lack of goals in the final third is a pressing issue for Dumbarton manager Stephen Aitken with his side having failed to score in six of eight.

The one solace for column readers is the under 2.5 goals bet landed last week having been advised at 8-11.

The Sons are likely to remain far from clinical in front of goal when returning to home soil today and are 11-2 at home to Hibs who lost to Morton in midweek.

Rangers are no bigger than 1-6 when hosting St Mirren at Ibrox. We like Gers and btts at 2-1 and Hibs and btts at 5-2.
