IT could be Firhill for nils tonight as Aberdeen try to reignite their fading title challenge.

The Dons need the points after collapsing at Inverness on Monday but could be frustrated by the stuffy hosts on a gluepot pitch.

Six of the last seven meetings between the sides have gone under 2.5 goals and anything more than two tonight would be a surprise.

It was 2-0 to the Dons in the first Firhill meeting and 0-0 at Pittodrie while Thistle's last three games have totalled just two goals.

Under 2.5 goals is a best 7-10 at McBookie while under 1.5 goals pays 85-40. Not many will back no scorer but that is a biggest 17-2 at Skybet.

Aberdeen are 1-1 to win with the likes of McBookie and Ladbrokes but will be hampered by the loss of crocked Jonny Hayes.

They have a decent record at Firhill though, winning four of their last five without conceding. To win to nil the Dons are 9-4 at Paddy Power.

My Monday tips were both to score and Adam Rooney to net. He's hit the target in 12 of his last 16 matches and is 5-4 with bet365 to add to his tally.

Under 1.5 goals

Morning all. Going for Aberdeen to win Either Half @ 8/15 as part of an acca. Apart from that im a bit dubious of this one as i think the dons may miss jonny hayes as Mr F stated above.

I can see why you’d go for the unders bet here MrFixit, but I still fancy Aberdeen in this. We really struggle against the better sides, in 6 games against Celtic, Aberdeen and Hearts this season we haven’t scored a single goal and have lost 5 out of 6 with the draw being a 0-0 away at Pittodrie. We are quite good technically and can play some good stuff but we find it tough physically against stronger sides so I think Aberdeen to win to nil is a good bet at the 85/40.

    I’m taking:

ABERDEEN @ EVENS as a single

ABERDEEN TO WIN TO NIL @ 85/40

    ABERDEEN TO WIN 2-0 @ 9/1

    ROONEY 1ST 2-0 ABERDEEN SCORECAST @ 28/1

davisam, I can see you edging as Thistle don’t score many but the pitch could also be a problem as it’s not in great condition.
I’ll be watching in the office tonight and may look at doing something inplay depending on how Aberdeen start and how the bad the surface and weather are.

Sounds like a plan. (I’m a thistle fan btw!)

Poor results last night in the Europa League, WDW was actually the easier market for a change with a serious lack of goals about! Liverpool let me down in the later kick offs, they must be the bookies favourite team!! Week in week out, pump a big fav like Man City then fail to win against weaker opposition like newcastle, sunderland, west ham, stoke etc. I used to swerve them all together but started backing them again when Suarez and Sturridge were on top form, think I’ll give them a miss for a while until they show some consistency!

davisam, I feel your pain! Thistle are the closest senior team to me but luckily I was brought up a Clydebank fan.
