SPURS have been as inconsistent as possible recently – beating Inter Milan then crashing at Bolton.
Boss Harry Redknapp blames his side's inconsistency on injuries and with Rafael van der Vaart doubtful for tonight's clash against Sunderland and the likes of Jermain Defoe still out you're not quite sure which side of Spurs we'll see. I'm backing on it being the good half and fancy them to see off a Sunderland side who haven't won on the road this season.
The goals have been spread among the Spurs side, with even Alan Hutton hitting the target at Bolton, but this could be the night for Gareth Bale to put a deadly touch to one of his thrilling runs. Spurs are a best 8-13 with Paddy Power to win and Bale is 8-1 at Skybet to bag the opener.
Tonight's other EPL clash sees Stoke entertain Birmingham. It's really hard to call and Alex McLeish's visitors could repeat their weekend result with West Ham and grab a draw. There should be goals and both teams to score pays 11-10 with William Hill.
There's a big card in the Championship and a whole host of games that could end in draws.
Leaders QPR try to extend their unbeaten run with a tough trip to Portsmouth and will probably be happy to leave with a point.
Nottingham Forest are again excelling at home and struggling away. They should beat Coventry at the City Ground (10-11, Hills and Ladbrokes) and consider Lewis McGugan, four goals in five games, to score first. He is 7-1 with bet365.
Middlesbrough beat Crystal Palace to give Tony Mowbray his first win but didn't impress. A trip to Scunthorpe isn't for the faint-hearted and a home win pays 17-10 with William Hill. If Boro are bad Palace could be even worse. Watford have a young side but could go to Selhurst Park and win. They are 13-8 with Betfred.
SUPER SINGLE
- Scunthorpe (17-10, William Hill)
