MAN CITY are odds on to retain their Premier League crown but all eyes will be on Liverpool who look the most likely challengers.

Jurgen Klopp's men were the best side to watch last season as they bulldozed their way to the Champions League Final.

Mo Salah bagged the Golden Boot but the Reds finished 25 points off top spot and City aren't exactly casting worried looks over their shoulder.

Klopp has strengthened where he needed to most with Roma keeper Alisson arriving for £66million and other major signings are Fabinho and Naby Keita.

There's no doubt Liverpool mean business but catching City looks almost impossible which is why I've tipped the Anfield men each way at 9-2 (now 4-1). An alternative bet is Liverpool without City at 6-5 with bet365.

Man United are third favourites but out to 11-1 at Betway with moaning boss Jose Mourinho second favourite to win the sack race at 7-1 with Paddy Power.

Chelsea (20-1) and Arsenal (25-1) are under new management so it could be Spurs (20-1) who finish third behind City and Liverpool.

Liverpool and City are both in action tomorrow in the first Super Sunday of the season.

Klopp's men are just 1-4 to beat a West Ham side who have splashed out close to £90m in a bid for a top-10 finish.

The last two meetings have produced nine goals and this could be another thriller. Back Liverpool to win and over 3.5 goals at 6-4 with betfair and consider Liverpool -2 at 15-8 with Paddy Power.

Salah smashed 32 league goals last season and the Egyptian is 5-2 at Paddy Power to net the opener.

City have been handed a tough one at Arsenal but I'll be on them at evens at Marathonbet to start their defence with a win.

Unai Emery will need time to settle into the job and City won 3-0 on their last two visits to the Emirates.

Chelsea's new boss Maurizio Sarri has an easier match at Huddersfield but it could be a bit of a culture shock. The Terriers will throw everything at the Blues, still sweating over the possible departure of Eden Hazard, and I fancy a draw at 3-1 with McBookie.

Best bets today could be Spurs at Newcastle. Fans aren't happy with the club for signing no one – the first Premier League club to do so – but boss Mauricio Pochettino seems happy with his lot and should win at 11-10 with McBookie.

Newcastle didn't spend much more to the dismay of Rafa Benitez whose players are protesting over bonus payments. The atmosphere is bitter at St James' Park and on the field they failed to score a single goal in pre-season friendllies.

Harry Kane will be on a high after the winning the Golden Boot in Russia and is 10-3 at Paddy Power to score first.

Cardiff are drop favourites and face an opening-day defeat at Bournemouth who are 10-11 with bet365.

Bournemouth showed their ambition by splashing out £25m for Colombia's World Cup midfielder Jefferson Lerma – interesting the most-booked player in any of Europe's elite leagues last season with 16 for Levante.

Scotland wideman Ryan Fraser chips in with a few goals and after a netting against Marseille last week in a sparkling display he is 11-4 at betfair to score again.

Wolves and Everton are expected to go well and this could be a score draw at 4-1 with Sky Bet.

In the Championship I like Aston Villa, boosted by nicking John McGinn from Celtic, at home to Wigan and Middlesbrough at home to a Birmingham side hit hard by a ban on buying players.

I'm happy to leave League One and League Two alone until we see some form patterns.
