AFTER Boxing Day wins by Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal and Man Utd it's the turn of Liverpool to go for three festive points at home to Stoke.
After Monday's results Jurgen Klopp will feel it's a must-win game and the good news is neither Stoke nor Mark Hughes as manager have won at Anfield.
Liverpool are unbeaten at home on the league but I'm not the only one who baulks at backing the Reds at odds as short as 1-3 with the likes of Marathonbet.
Stoke have gone off the boil (again) and last time out threw away a 2-0 lead to 10-man Leicester to draw 2-2. For a bit of value consider Liverpool -1 at 5-6 with Paddy Power.
That's the only Premier League game on Monday but there are two in the Championship – Brighton v QPR and Derby v Birmingham – and I've already suggested doubling the homes for a 9-5 wager at bet365 but one concern is team rotation and has been mentioned by Seagulls boss Chris Hughton.
The Brighton game kicks off at 12.30pm so hopefully we'll get a steer but with Newcastle losing to Sheffield Wednesday and Hughton's men on a 16-game unbeaten run surely he'll want to maintain the momentum and return to the top of the table.
Brighton are a best 1-20 with Betway and that's been cut from 8-11 that was available earlier in the week. Rangers started Ian Holloway's reign with a defeat of Norwich but have lost five in a row since and scoring has been a massive problem.
Derby have been flying since Steve McClaren took charge and are 8-11 at William Hill to deny Gianfranco Zola a first point in charge at Birmingham. A win wil lmove County a point from the play-offs and they should get it.
Bets to Consider
Liverpool -1
