WE HEAD the short distance across the Irish sea as this weeks host is Belfast and Chisnall and Taylor will be on double duty this week.

It could be a make or break week for both players with Chisnall having to win every game you would assume now relying on other players and running out of points. Taylor is in hot pursuit of a top four, with Adrian Lewis making a late charge for finals night.

Week 12 fixtures: Draw price in brackets

  • Chisnall Vs Lewis – 5/2 – 10/11 – (4/1) Chisnall leads 14-12 (1 draw) Last six, Lewis has won last two
  • Taylor Vs Anderson – 3/1 – 5/6 – (4/1) Taylor leads 38-15 (3 draws) Taylor has won three of last six
  • Wright Vs Wade – 4/7 – 4/1 – (9/2) The pair tied on 14-14 Wright has won nine of the last ten meetings
  • MVG Vs Barney – 2/5 – 6/1 – (11/2) MVG leads 27-17 (1 draw) MVG undefeated in five of last six, spanning back to 2016, and is 1-1 in 2017
  • Chisnall Vs Taylor – 9/4 – 1/1 – (19/4) Taylor leads 23-8 – Taylor has won 5 of last 6 games

The favourties this week (Lewis, Anderson, Wright, MVG and Taylor in order pays 14.72 with Betfair) The underdogs not to lose pays 33/1 with BetVictor.

Looking at the weekly specials Chisnall is the outright 1/3 favourite to land the most maximums on the night. With Chisnall netting fifteen in the last two games will spur punters to pile in on this. With Taylor at 10/1 also playing twice there is a considerable advantage here and surprised compilers are not shorter than this.

Before last week, where there was two successive weeks of seeing a draw, this result in this phase of the competition is no good for any competitor so the 13/8 with Betway for no draw appeals seeing that for four successive weeks before week 10 we did not see a tied game.

Chisnall Vs Lewis

Looking at the card in general on Thursday we are tempted for the second week in a row to take on the under 8.5 maximum line on in the Chisnall and Lewis match. Now with the European Tour over the weekend there would have been less rest for the players and see it as rare for one firm to be 4/6 for 9 or more maximums when Betstars are 23/20 for fewer than 8 maximums.

Chisnall has pocketed the lion share of the maximums recently, but Lewis has mis-fired on many occasions before his perfect leg last week and will tempt fete once more especially 11/10 with BetVictor

Taylor Vs Anderson

The pair have exchanged some great battles in recent times including the World final a couple years back now. With the business end of the event tailing off both are in the mix for a top four. However both are not in as strong as position as they could and could go all the way. Anderson for me is the better player at the moment and no wonder compilers take him over Phil and with Paddy Power at 5/6 this is the direction to take. Skybet offer 11/8 on Anderson to win the match and hit most 180s

Looking at the other games Wright appeals to beat the 180 fight over Wade and doubles up nicely with Chisnall in the final game to pay 21/20 with Skybet

Elsewhere, could Barney suffer another upset over MVG in an all Dutch encounter. Barney has played some great arrows over the last few weeks albeit the occasional slip and the maximums have been flying in at times although a no bet from me.

Recommendations

  • Under 8.5 180s – Chisnall/Lewis 11/10 BetVictor 2pts
  • Anderson to beat Taylor – 5/6 Paddy Power 1pt
  • Wright and Chisnall (vs Taylor) most 180s double – 21/20 Skybet 1.5 pts
