LIVERPOOL will travel to Spurs today full of confidence following their strong start to the season.
With Tottenham’s 3-0 win at Manchester United fresh in many people’s minds it’s not too surprising the bookies aren’t putting a great deal between the sides.
Spurs also suffered a surprise loss to Watford last time out which is why 10BET has the Reds slight favourites at 11-8 with Spurs at 2-1. The draw is 27-10.
From Tottenham’s viewpoint they haven’t lost back-to-back league games under Mauricio Pochettino since May 2016, suggesting he is good at fixing problems and getting a response from his team. So there could be value in that 2-1 and the double chance on a Spurs win or draw is 4-6.
Both teams have scored in six of the last eight meetings between these two closely- matched sides and are just 4-7 to do so in this one. The score draw also holds appeal at 3-1 which brings 10BET’s 1-1 and 2-2 scorelines into play at 6-1 and 11-1 respectively.
Those results would prevent the other team from taking points from the other and stealing a march on their title rivals but in truth, with Manchester City’s dominance, are we already watching the battle for the Premier League’s runner-up spot in this one?
Liverpool are 8-15 in the w/o Man City betting while Spurs are 13-2 with the two clubs sandwiching a rejuventated Chelsea who sit in between them at 13-4.
Klopp’s hitmen have been firing during the international break – Mo Salah scored for Egypt in the 6-0 defeat of Niger and he’s 7-2 to hit the first goal. Roberto Firmino netted for Brazil in the 2-0 victory over USA and is 13-2.
Elsewhere Everton will be hopeful of continuing their unbeaten start to the season on Sunday when they host West Ham who have lost all four of their league games.
Marco Silva does have some injury problems but they're heavy favourites to take all three points. At 10BET we rate them at 11-10 for the three points with the Hammers win and the draw both around 13-5
With West Ham in the doldrums could Everton repeat last season’s 4-0 victory at 40-1?
