THIS month I've teamed up with BetVictor to be my Bookie of the Month.
Victor Chandler's firm often earn a mention in my articles due totheir competitive odds and if you were on the site yesterday you'll have seen a smashing enhanced offer from them where they were offering 5-1 on Man City to beat Hull – a great price, even if Manuel Pellegrini's men couldn't deliver.
So here's the deal. Join BetVictor this month – where you can claim a £25 Welcome bonus – make your first deposit and you'll enter a draw to win a £25, £15 or £10 bet absolutely free. I've £100 bets to give away before at the end of February – that's 1x£25, 1x£15 & 6x£10 free bets.
Here's what you need to do.
- Click this link – BetVictor
- Register your details to open a NEW account (this competition is only open to NEW BetVictor customers)
- Deposit and place your first bet before the end of February (Remember you'll be able to claim that £25 welcome bonus)
- Leave your username in the comments section below
- I'll pick eight usernames at random and announce the winners in the first week in March
- Free bets will be credited within 28 days
I'd recommend BetVictor if you don't already have an account with them. They've a good range of markets and are often best priced in the odds comparison charts, especially when it comes to backing favourites.

Is there likely to be any offers for existing customers?
Mr F can 5/1 seriously be considered a great price when the team failed to win? I would say it was a great bit of judgement by the bookmaker as they will have won a very decent amount from the offer. No price is a great price unless it wins!!
raaljaca, how can no price be a good price unless it wins?
Surely thats how you define finding value in bets. Eg. Chelsea are 1/5 at home to Palace lets say and they win, so because they won does that make 1/5 a good price? Same goes for lets say they were 5/4 but failed to win, that doesn’t mean they were a good price?
Your comment makes no sense.
Leigh, have a serious think about what you have just said. For me a good price is only a good price if it gets you a return is it not? You define a good price as being that whether it wins or not? Sometimes I despair at the naivety on here and can see why bookies make millions.
raaljaca, sometimes I see a price that looks value but at the end of the day it’s only value if it wins.
I fully agree, just took £160 from them today lol
By the bye their mobile site is infuriatingly slow aswell. Takes forever to load every market
As we are on the topic….overall what do people think is the best bookie out there?
dawnrising, I don’t think there’s one best bookie. For me you have to have several accounts to take advantage of best prices, most markets, special offers, cashbacks, cash-outs and then of course there is customer service too. A bet365 account is a must but I also like BetVictor/McBookie prices. Paddy Power, Hills and Ladbrokes are up there as solid performers and I’ll be having a look at 888sport and 188bet who we might be doing something with soon.
Find 365 prob best overall just for pure easiness. Generally there abouts on odds too. Def betfair exchange for singles tho as odds always best and easy to cover with a lay.
What are people’s view on william hill? Sorry to hear that jamie
Victor is a generous bookie, always gives the best odds on most teams.
I think bet victor offers some really good prices compared to other bookies but for the life of me every time i bet with Victor i usually get humped and they are due me some money back.
Ladbrokes used to be the same inshop for some reason they are my shop jonah for betting.
But as i say i think bet victor offer some good prices compared to there rivals i just wish i could hit them for a big win coz its long overdue :-(
Punting For Fun, the prices definitely stand up – especially if you catch them early.
Surprised you haven’t mentioned Skybet, Mr F. Fee bets every week, great price boosts and the easiest site to navigate. Not best for accas, but often best price for a Super Single.
Also, Jamie Rednapp’s tips are remarkably prescient.
Lyall, I quote Skybet when they are best price.
@ lyall except when they went down on saturday and cost me over 300 quid.
Sorry Ralljaca, but the way I see it is that if 5/1 was given before play started then that was great odds, on paper Man City are the better side and should be winning those games, I think the bookie took a calculated risk which went the right way for him, but if Man city were 5/1 what were the odds for a draw or a Hull win, that’s the question you should be asking, because only then, dependent on what you bet, can you be in a position to decide if they were great odds for you, you are an excellent tipster, but I can’t agree with you on this, sorry
Shah, trust me mate I dont need people to agree with me but if anybody reckons a losing bet was ok simply because it was a ‘good price’ then carry on.
Afraid im the same. A good bet and a good price aren’t the same thing.
Whats more (to paraphrase one of the guys from welovebetting) sometimes a good bet can lose, and sometimes a bad bet can win
So if you were offered 100/1 on Man City winning the league now but they didn’t that is still considered a bad price. LOL have a word with yourself.
Leigh, you stick to what you know but cheers for brightening up the day with your theory!!!
Ralljaca I didn’t say a losing bet is ok, no losing bet is ok, if you read my post, it clearly states that 5/1 on a city win is a good price, and on paper city are the better team and really should have won, but it’s irrelevant if they don’t win obviously, you would have to see what odds the draw or hull win was and then it’s up to the individual to bet on what he thinks the end result will be and if he’s happy with the odds quoted, but if you have odds of 200/1 and it doesn’t come in doesn’t mean the odds were not good only that you didn’t win so it makes no difference, like I said you’re an excellent tipster, I bet for fun hence my bonkers bets, so me and you look at this differently
Shah, all punters look at things differently which is why there is a debate about covering. I hear people often saying ‘that’s a great price’. But it’s only a great price if it wins. Right, Super Single is up (it’s a double) and off to walk the dug and kick a ball, etc.
I like the Instabet app from BV for smartphones, some good price boosts and offers for the big games. It’s free and worth a download
It can still be a great price if it dosent win tho, hence why people use certain websites for different bets.
I did a 4 team acca and put in 5 different sites, betvictor actually came out better with over £30 of a difference compared to Ladbrokes to name but 1, Betfred is the best for Goals Galore with them only offering a sections list at 22/1 for 5 games, not many others offer better prices. Its all about getting value for your money, the reason why I have many accounts. I think folk get stuck on 1 company and only bet on that site but if they look elsewhere they can actually get better value.
Stevie H, I agree about having several accounts and trying to get the best price possible.
“anybody reckons a losing bet was ok simply because it was a ‘good price’ then carry on”
Every time I place a cover bet I hope its a loser and i think its ok. With great value like the city 5/1 you can cover for profit whatever the outcome. thats great value imo
Mr fixit i say that with the absolute respect you deserve aswel…as in fairness you try your hardest to try do well for yourself and other punters looking for guidance…so don’t go into an automatic martial arts stance
dawnrising, most of what you said is nonsense and don’t make assumptions when you don’t know how the site is run. First of all I don’t have anything to do with the site running – I just put up the tips. 10bet asked to sponsor the top tips and if they hadn’t done so then we’d be charging. I actually met one of the 10bet guys in London last week with admin and told them a few home truths which hopefully they’ll take on board. Their prices and markets need to be better and I said that. They also need racing and they’re bringing that on board. I’ve criticised 10bet on the site several times but they’ll remain as sponsors until their deal is finished. If you don’t like them don’t use them.
gavstarr17, thanks
Mr fixit point taken i hear you….fair play
Viniczai, thanks :)
