Australian Open favourite Rafael Nadal will tackle David Ferrer in an all-Spanish quarter-final after a comfortable victory over Marin Cilic.
World No.1 Nadal, who is bidding to become the first player since Rod Laver in 1969 to hold all Grand Slams at the one time, eased past his Croatian opponent 6-2 6-4 6-3.
Ferrer, the No.7 seed, needed four sets to see off Canadian Milos Raonic 4-6 6-2 6-3 6-4.
Nadal hasn't lost to his countryman in their last seven meetings dating back to 2007, Ferrer having only three wins against the Mallorcan in 14 clashes.
The top seed is 1-6 with Blue Square, 888sport and William Hill while Ferrer is 5-1 at Paddy Power.
Nadal, like Andy Murray, has yet to drop a set in Mlebourne Park but Ferrer knows his game so well I reckon he will take at least a set.
A 3-1 victory for Nadal is a tempting 13-5 with Paddy Power with a five-setter and Nadal advancing paying 17-2 with the same firm.
In the lower half of the men's singles world No.2 Roger Federer is bidding to retain the Australian and capture his fifth Melbourne crown.
He's in an all-Swiss last-eight clash against the impressive No.19 seed Stanislas Wawrinka who thumped Andy Roddick, seeded nine, without reply in the previous round.
Federer, who needed five sets to see off France's Gilles Simon in round two and four sets in the last 16 against Tommy Robredo of Spain, has won six of his seven meetings with Wawrinka.
Wawrinka, meanwhile, like Nadal and Murray, has yet to drop a set and also beat tricky Frenchman Gael Monfils prior to dumping Roddick out.
Federer is 1-4 (boylesports) to win with Wawrinka 10-3 at Skybet, totesport, Bodog, Coral and William Hill.
This is another clash I believe will need at least four sets so 3-1 Federer (13-5, Paddy Power) should be considered. The Irish firm are also offering 7-1 the Swiss legend advances 3-2.
Wawrinka, who claims he's playing the best tennis of his career, is 11-1 with Betfred to win 3-1 and 10-1 with Bet365 and Paddy Power to go through 3-2.
The winner of the Swiss clash will play either world No.3 Novak Djokovic world No.6 Tomas Berdych in the semi-finals.
Serbian Djokovic, the 2008 Aussie champion, is 4-1 up on his head to head with the Czech and although he should advance here he may need four sets.
Djokovic is 4-11 with Betfred and Skybet to win while Berdych is widely available at 9-4.
A 3-1 victory for Djokovic is 13-5 at totesport and Paddy Power with 3-2 on offer at 6-1 with Skybet.
