MANSFIELD (6.20) would have landed a significant gamble in another stride at Lingfield last week and no doubt connections will be piling on the cash again at Wolverhampton this evening.
Formerly an 89-rated juvenile with Godolphin, the hooded Mansfield retains ability at this Class 5 level and Michael Wigham is a shrewd trainer when it comes to placing his horses.
KAISAN (7.20) is no great shakes but must go close in a pretty desperate 1m 4f handicap.
The four-year-old has struck form in recent weeks, running second over course and distance before winning at Chelmsford City. Although he could never lay a glove on the enterprisingly ridden Strictly Art at Lingfield last week, Kaisan beat the rest fair and square.
Keith Dalgleish sends New Abbey Angel down to the Midlands and the grey ran one of his better races here last time. This longer trip would be a concern.
