I STARTED October with a loser on a day when many sides expected to score didn't.
As often happens the shortest team on my treble lost and Brentford not scoring at home to Wigan surprised everyone.
My other two picks – Norwich and Las Palmas – both netted two away from home.
Someone had a dig about the Bets of the Day – and I don't mind but I'll respond if it's unfair – so I've worked out the stats for September and I don't think they're anything to complain about. These are based me staking 3pts.
Today I'm going for a Spanish double – Villarreal at Espanyol and Athletic Bilbao at Malaga. Villarreal have netted on five of their last six visits to Espanyol and their last five have seen both to score.
Bilbao have started the season well and could win at Malaga. They've won on two of their last three visits there and netted seven in three in La Liga.
Other teams I looked at shorter prices included Leicester at home to Southampton, Spurs at home to Man City, Mainz at Wolfsburg and Marseille at Angers.

I have never left a comment but feel that I need too here. You don’t need to justify your self with bet of the day or any tips for that matter.
I wish I was disciplined enough to follow level stakes and reap the rewards and sometimes don’t agree and end up regretting it. Lol
i should start this month and try level stakes on your bets of the day.
Luckily I can start fresh from the next bet as missed yesterday’s.

I saw this bet after the Brentford game finished so I used the other two along with over 0.5 fhg in the Leverkusen-Dortmund game.
Bet of the day has been great ok a few losers in the last few days but plenty of winners in the bank. Can’t believe Brentford did not score stats in match were amazing so much so I put £10 on them to win with 20 minutes to go.
15/24 winners …. not sure who has an issue with that … I certainly don’t!! Look forward to today’s tip Mr F !
