VENUE for the BMW International Open is the Gut Larchenhof, Cologne and players who took part at Oakmont last weekend will be pleased to hear he greens are a bit slower but not by much.
Accuracy off the tee could be a factor as the landing areas are quite tight but hitting greens in regulation might be more important.
Scott Hend might not have won in Europe but has eight victories in Asia. His latest being last weekend when he won the Queens Cup with a one-shot success in Singapore.
He won the True Thailand Classic in March but a win in Europe is still eluding him. Although his driving accuracy is not the greatest his GIR is 67% (70th) and as he is in such good form I’m taking him to get his first win in Europe.
I was considering taking Andy Sullivan as my next selection but he must be tired after the weekend at Oakmont so I’m on Joost Luiten instead. The Dutchman is having a good season and is 10th in The Road to Dubai. He finished T6 in the Lyoness Open two weeks ago and his stats for the season – driving accuracy 63.4% (39th) and GIR of 74.2% (10th) – look good.

Hi Craig, Aphibarnrat has been struggling a bit this year but wish you luck with your selections, especially your other two!
ace, it’s a tough week. I was looking at Brendan Steele in the States and might do Willett in Europe.
Good luck with your bets.
Mrfixit, not sure on Willett, since winning the Masters he’s gone right off the boil, understandably. Might be back to his best nearer the Open.
