IT was a night when anyone backing Premier League favourites would have been laughing all the way to the bank.
All seven won at around 40-1 and while bookies will have lost plenty defeats for hot favourites Celtic and Norwich will have saved them from total carnage.
I didn't back against of the magnificent seven but I'd have been laughed at if I's suggested the sevenfold so well done to anyone who took it – and especially well done if you resisted the temptation to add Celtic or Norwich or both to boost the accumulator.
In Wednesday's Daily Record I said it would be a “super surprise” if Wigan avoided defeat at Norwich and don't think anyone saw that result coming for the high-flying Canaries but maybe they were hit by the weight of expectation after climbing to within touching distance of top spot.
Norwich featured on my Top Treble as well being the Super Single on a -1 handicap. Five points were given away on those two bets but the loss was almost recouped by a 11-2 both to score treble that was let down on the last leg by Athletic Bibao.
It's a much quieter Thursday night with games to look at including Juventus v Fiorentina in the Italian Cup and Brest v Auxerre and Concarneau v Guingamp in the French Cup. In Portugal Nacional tackle Sporting in the cup and there's not much else to look at.
Juventus are 4-7 favourites with BetVictor and McBookie to beat Fiorentina in tonight's first leg and they have won four and drawn two of their last six at home to the Florence men.
Both sides are in good form and both are expected to make changes tonight and I wouldn't like to have a bet on this until I see teams – and I'm unlikely to be about at that point so I'm not having a punt.
Juve will have Marco Storari between the sticks instead of Gianluigi Buffon. Star turns Andrea Pirlo and Paul Pogba have had injury problems and are unlikely to be involved. Luca Marrone, Kwadwo Asamoah, Stefano Sturaro and Romulo are others who will sit out.
Fiorentina's win at Inter Milan on Monday lifted them to within three points of Napoli in the race for a Champions League spot and that's where their focus will lie. Mo Salah and Mario Gomez are likely to start in Turin but Giuseppe Rossi, Khouma Babacar, Stefan Savic, Nenad Tomovic and Ciprian Tatarusanu are sidelined.
We know all about Guingamp but I must admit I've never heard of Concarneau. Guingamp are French Cup holders, sit 11th in Ligue 1 and were recently knocked out of the Europa League at the last-32 stage by Dynamo Kiev.
Concarneau sounds more like a French steak. They are in fact a fourth-tier amateur side who have battled through to this stage beating the likes of Niort and Dijon so they can play. However, the gulf between them and Guingamp looks massive.
Although Guingamp have lost their last three they've been to Nantes, Kiev and Montpellier. Concarneau's last three matches were against Boredeaux reserves, Plabennec and Iris Croix who they beat on penalties to reach this stage.
Guingamp are 4-7 with firms such as Paddy Power and Betfred and I'd be happy to take that. It's the same price as Norwich were to beat Wigan and it would be as big a surprise if they didn't win.
I can't see team news but being holders and with the carrot of a last-four place I'm assuming Guingamp will field their strongest side and take no chance against the battling amateurs. For a Super Single I'm on Guingamp -1 Asian Handicap. They're good enough to win by at least two but we get the stake returned if they win by one.
I said at the star of the goals trial I'd nick tips from raaljaca now and again and after I posted my Super Single he suggested over 1.5 Guingamp goals as an alternative. Again it looks great on paper so I'm going with it.
5pts Super Single

JUVENTUS -1 looks good to me – a Early thoughts
BTTS for me. 4/5 Corals
Harpreet, it’s a cup game so team news is vital and remember Juve played on Monday.
Mr F SS is -4.5 at present but you can borrow a point from Johnb as the man is on fire at present.
Not too sure on Juve tonight . they only played monday so may rest a few players
Harpreet, would you go for a btts for Juve and Fiorentina?
Chapecoense or draw @1.9 1:00 k.o
to chase loses :)
Harpreet my man i have made a lot of money from you..and i would like to thank you !To repay you i would urge you to bet on Chapecoense or draw @7/8 1:00 k.o to double your money.Cheers!
Greedy that’s why added Norwich with magnificent seven n lost. Should stay with the premier league. Lesson learnt .
tushar, even backing 7 is too much. 7 out of 7 favourites winning in one league doesn’t come too often. If you’re going to do those 7 there was no reason not to add Norwich. Been a long day and I’m calling it quits.
Should do harpreet c their hard to beat at home however look at Celtic tonight plus it’s can cup
Overeem – Thank you mate and I’m glad you have made plenty of money from my tips. Was you on my over 1.5 man Utd team cards today ?
This 1am game mate – What makes you confident on your selection ? Just for you I will put a small stake on it. If it wins then fish and chips is paid for tommorow – If it’s not then microwave meal for me is it then ;-)
Mr fix it – Yes Juventus played Monday and I agree the players may feel it, however I can’t still see past a comfortable Juventus win
i was on your tip harpreet thank you very much! (large stake)
I have a strong feeling chapecoence won’t lose today :) .
Let’s hope for fish and chips then :) .

I managed to convert a £25 no lose bet into £249 on Man C, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea but bottled on Man Utd as they are awful ….. Lost £72 laying them late plus low price lays on Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs …. Still a nice £120 profit.
The MLS kicks off its new season on Sunday the 8th. I was thinking that we’ve had a quite a few tips on it. I’ve been following team news and fixtures. I’m going to try a few weeks of purely MLS tips. I know there are better tipsters here, but I’m getting quite excited about the new season.
Centreccircle – How are you mate ?? U ok ???? Day of today then ?? Did you have any visitors come round today at all may I ask ??
Overreem- Fongers crossed mate lol :-)
DeeDee probably best to watch the first few weeks as they have the draft system like in NBA and NFL where all the best College players get picked by the worst teams so could be a few surprises. Gerrard will be joining Galaxy halfway through the season too which will be interesting.
Harpreet I could win four bets in a night and still enjoy a Bombay Bad Boy Pot Noodle. Lovely with a loaf of granary!
Didn’t post it up on here but stuck a double on Colo Colo win and under 2.5 goals and over 2.5 goals on the Guarani v Cerro game..

Had a £25 free bet on City -1.5, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Norwich. Would have returned £215.
Left Tottenham out since I just feel theyre a bit shaky, 3-2 proved that. Was too late for the Villa Real n Barca btts aswell.
Wouldnt usually bet that much on a five fold but still, what are Wigan doing winning. Just annoying. I did look at the previous meeting though and theyve all been close, either draws or either team winning by one, Wigan seem to battle harder away from home also.
Just one of those, lack of time to fully research + misfortune.
Rant over lol.
Chapecoense or draw @1.9 won
glad to make you some money back harpreet…..fish and chips for us then!!! :)
Hi all. All single bets WON that were posted on yesterday’s thread for the overnight football, just the treble that came a couple of goals short for me. Gone from a nothing one night to a full house the next, funny thing this football betting!!! Haha
If anyone did get an anytime scorer market in the DC United match, Espindola scored the winner as mentioned.
Shaun – Thanks for your tips, I had:
Guarani – Over 2.5MG 8/13
Guarani – Over 3.5MG 6/4
DC UTD – Over 2.5MG 9/10
All won, thanks again.

Long shot unfortunately swung Corinthians way in the second half. Will wait again for the KO stages, ht draw betting then in this comp is great.
Good one on the Chapecoense Overeem, you’re the Best
Shaun you see my post saying Sky Sports are showing the MLS games this season? Will be nice to watch! Do you have any idea why Guarani were underdogs tonight? The 1.5 team goals looked so good from stats but I was put off from the price and was gutted when I saw the final result. A bit like this Chiapas game!

Right come on guys, Overeem “large stake”, Harpreet “large stake” both up at exactly the same time last night and this morning talking about how harpreet made “him” loads of money, he had 2 tips, his MAIN TIP LOST, and an 8/15 won. Same person, CRINGE.
:) lol
ILoveBetting, honestly mate let it go. Harpreet means no harm to anyone and is a funny guy and overeem put up a decent winner last night which is what it is about. Same person? No, simply because Harpreet is unique and doesn’t need an alter ego ;)
morning uncle raal
Good day to you Ulster sir, hope all is well. Have two days studying now to turn my £1.16 bookies balance into around £2.30 if I haven’t set my sights too high!
you can do it raal, i have faith in you mate :)
Ulster, seeing a distinct pattern emerging on a goals market that the bookies are pricing a shade to high so will get a bet together and post it for the weekend. Assure Holly and your good lady that your wallet will be worth raiding come Sunday night.
you’ll do me raal, keep up the good work mate. ps Hollie and the missus dont need to whats in the wallet come sunday evening :)
And I wasn’t having a go mate, just need to ignore the garbage posted on here and concentrate on the decent stuff.
After corners came in Spain, just, i went for HT & FT corners at Colo Colo and woke up to over £50, gutted tho as was just gonna stick overs at Colo Colo and Necaxa in Mexico, both over 10.5 were 1.950 and both came in. Slept in for work tae watching bet365 inplay screen haha, only 3 hrs late :)

£20.78 on a double of Adrian Lewis and Michael van Gerwen returns £44.58
Good luck if you follow
Thin card today but found a double which I like the look of.
Bryne v Viking – Over 2.5 Goals
Djurgarden v Norrkoping – Norrkoping Double Chance
Pays 1.56/1
Bryne v Viking
Not much to say about this, the last 3 games between the sides have totalled 22 goals and the friendly between the sides last season finished 6-3. The only other meeting in recent memory finished 2-1.
Djurgarden v Norrkoping
Norrkoping normally have a pretty poor away record but they’ve started the Swedish Cup this year well with two wins. Djurgarden have a draw and a loss so far in the group. Djurgarden have had the better of recent H2H in general, but Norrkoping are unbeaten in 6 games while playing away in this fixture (W3 D3).
The two Swedish Cup games between the sides have been low scoring, but 11 of the last 12 games between the sides have seen both teams score so i’m also having a small stake on a bonkers double:
Viking to Win and BTTS
Norrkoping to Win and BTTS
Pays 16.25/1
Pleased my £5 double on Colo Colo and Corinthians came in
29 quid
Wish I added internacional and club America.
Fancy juventus tonight. Any thoughts on sporting Lisbon?
Grand Raal cheers! How’s things? Yeah it was the “something similar” I’ve ended up in! Still waiting on big Kim jong-un to hook me up in that field!
Damo-good to see you posting again! I hope that you are utilising your tain journey time effectively for study purposes ;) I saw your bets last night but wen for a DC United/ International double so thanks for highlighting those games. I find it hard to gauge these games between teams from different leagues!
Noticed he scored for Wigan last night Damo!
Hi everyone. Today’s predictions:
– nacional vs sporting btts
– esbjerg vs aab btts
– petrolul vs steaua btts
I think Sporting to win can also be taken seriously as now they only can win that competition, as everything else is gone. And also they want to clear the bad result last weekend. Nani is not playing, but I can see that as positive too, as team plays more as a group and not just playing for him.
Thanks.
Ud chile v the strongest tonight at 11.15
Home side struggling a bit
Any other knowledge on this game
Raal a question for you if I may. Most of us still recall that 19 game hot streak of winning bets on BTTS or bets of that nature. You used pick no more than a couple of bets per day. It seems to me that you have started pumping 3-4 bets when you post these days. Is that because of this new “venture” i.e. they are expecting a few tips per day or is it because you genuinely think they will all land? Perhaps if you can indicate your nap it might make it a little easier to follow you pearls mate while we have you that is.
Alex, nothing to do with it mate. The venture will simply be a write up elsewhere for a Saturday to indicate the weekends best goal based opportunities. I have not been able to devote the time I need for recent games/tips as there has been too much going on elsewhere since November and I am only posting at present what I see as maybe worth a bet. I will put up one NAP each day and see how it goes.
You can still get 3-1 hibs -3 against berwick.bet365.
well what a damp squib the philippines game is
0-0 at half time, unheard of in that league
perhaps the second game will revert to normal
**** mendiola were 40/1 RT7 I put 0.40p on for a big if fun,getting £5.50 cash out, 4-1 on corners. Should have chanced £5
Pasaragad game singapore not flying with goals even though was expexted. Home side actually having a good go. On 4-1 corners may have a cheeky double on home side first to 7 corners and to score first
Over 8-1. Bit of a longshot
so whats good for tonight guys
I highlighted Everton to get relegated around a month ago at 33-1. They are now showing clear relegation form with 2 wins 5 draws and 8 defeats in their last 15 Premier League games. They sit second last in the lack of form pile only propped up by Leicester. During those 15 games they also have the second worse offensive record scoring 10 goals. Only Villa have less goals (8). I think Sherwood may build up some momentum now and drive them to safety. The clown that is Martinez really does not have a clue and will get Everton relegated if not this year then certainly next year if he is still at the helm. The Europa league has disguised their Premier League run. They will need 3-4 victories and a few draws to keep themselves safe which they are capable of. The problem is after making them selves hard to beat they have now started to lose a few games. They have enough about them to get themselves out of trouble but not while their run in the Europa continues! Best price is now 25-1 for Everton to go down! Worth a few coins of anyone’s money.
Liverpool Champion’s League place and FA Cup double. I think it is worth backing this with a bookie that allows you to cash in. Liverpool should dispense with Blackburn and I have no doubt that Rodgers will be going full strength at the weekend.
Best price 6.34/1 Ladbrokes although I will get on at 365 @ 6/1.
Capone look at juventus game tonight bud ive gone for corner in first 10mins but the corner before 9mins is at 1.83 a little above that on 365 for future ref mate
Yes I see it Hampy, it doesn’t be in play prob why I missed it, good bet that.Juve on the attack straight away, I like Fiorentina over 3.5 @4/5 very doable
Mendiola Game in play over o.5 goals 2.0 at bet365. Worth a 0.5 point.
Well done Dave. A last minute penalty wins it! I was tempted by PSG to win about the 80th min @ 4/1 but couldn’t bring myself to do it.
Dannyt twos up on that one lol
Robert – I will post my tip this evening mate
Lol, that was close. Took a 92nd minute penalty to win a 1/2 point.

I am staying strong and not joining in the debate, seriously not worth it.
Yes seen that capone fiorentina wont lie down for a beating over 3.5 corners very do able
To keep me interested since I am unlikely to have a bet later on I will borrow Damo’s BTTS and double up with the Warriors.

This team aint doing that bad against Guincamp
Going by the last few days, harpreet has posted 2 winners and 6 losses but still in profit though (I asked him and obviously went small on the losses and large on the 2 winners)
He never puts up points betted, his choice and doesn’t need to but hard to track his hit rate.
I have tracked from just tips won and its not as good as he claims.
No concern to me though and I am jogging on with the day.

Nacional v Sporting & Juventus v Fiorentina could both be contenders for under 2.5 goals based on head to heads but it’s usually a market I look to avoid. Had success on it yesterday though backing Simons Italian game so I might have a small double, either that or a no bet day.
You know what, its one rule for someone and another for the rest, i seem to recall dave posting a very modest
another dave double won again

And he was told he was being over the top!
yet we have someone reposting 5 paragraphs worth of crap and WIN WIN WIN LARGE STAKE

Been on and off here all morning looking for tips and in-sights on the cup games tonight. Getting nothing but tit for tat comments about someone having two accounts for some reason. Dont know why he would go out of his way to do that? Anyway, use to have get some good info off this site, maybe its because there’s not much on tonight?
Danny, it’s not what we want – I’ve been out all morning but will have a look at the comments.

i like national/sporting btts not sure about fiorentina
Newby- not sure where your mate from but where Im from if people dont like each other the LAST thing they do is ignore the other! Haha.
ILoveBetting- I will do a challenge with you after Harpreet. My only two conditions are that its South American football & between the hours of 11pm until 6am :-)
Shaun, do it between yourselves privately but not on here. If you want each other’s email address get in touch with me at mrfixit@dailyrecord.co.uk
My tip for tonight is..
Juventus v Fiorentina BTTS – Returns 39/40 at BetVictor
Juventus are missing some key players, and are playing 4-3-3 which means it will be a very open game, Fiorentina are on a great run at the monent, beating Inter away, Roma away, knocking Spurs out the Europa League, im tempted to stick money on Fiorentina DC but happy to stick with BTTS as 39/40 is a great price
llovebetting, if you and Harpreet want to do some sort of challenge then do it on Facebook or whatever. No one here is interested – all comments about it will be deleted and let’s see more tips like your btts one.
Shaun haha i dont bet during those hours and know nothing about american football haha
Dissapointef tampines couldnt score with all those chances. Stickin to what i put up this morning for today
Mr fix it – Agreed like I said and its people like ilovebetting who just can’t stop. Quite annoying really but never mind
Harpreet, one thing – I can’t confirm if that other guys is you. Anyone with a half a brain can have multiple identities on here with different IP addresses. I can confirm it might not be you but that’s all.
I tried! Haha. I could make one exception to the rule and allow any game in Switzerland at any time.
Mr Fixit – appologies i never knew that lol!
No bother Mr F. Only half joking anyway. Just thought Id join in todays antics on here! Ha
Spurs Win v QPR
13/15 boylesports
3 points
:)
Mr fix it – I only post as 1 person. Thanks you. Anyway on to tips as I love making £££££
Harpreet, I didn’t say you didn’t. Admin however have texted me to say the other guy, I can’t remember his name, is posting from abroad and they say it’s not you.
Mr F-if someone was semi clever they could have a VPN which would “appear” to post from abroad even though they might be based in the UK. It effectively allows you to log into a secure server elsewhere in the world to bypass certain restrictions. I am not saying that is happening here by the way.
Alex, I know that but admin can see all sorts and are happy it’s not Harpreet.
Mr F sorry to intervene here but admin are feeding you a line if they say they know 1 person is not another this simply is not true if you use the proper methods they will not be able to determine who is where.
But for the peace and running of the site I can see why they would say this ;-)
AnOnYmoUS, I was talking about this one case. How do you know what checks they’ve made. Could have spoken with the guy, gone round to his house, so don’t make assumptions.
Anybody think that Aalborg at 11/5 with Hills is a pretty good offer.Last meeting…although in the league…1-3 to Aalborg away…and only three days ago. Also in terms of the opposition Aalborg’s last five games have been against better teams.
Im tempted to put a tenner on Fiorentina to win. Thought they were impressive against Spurs the other week and ilovebetting post about Juv missing players and they played on Monday, Fiorentinas wins away to some top teams.
Fiorentina are 5-1@ william Hill
Any thoughts from anyone?
Danny, I’ve added team news to my post. Both teams missing players and both played on Monday. The vibe I’m getting is a low scorer and tight game then it becomes a one-off in Florence in the second leg. That’s just a vibe – personally I wouldn’t bet till I see starting line-ups but I’ll be at the boy’s footie training at that point.
Fiorentina played on Sunday not Monday so have had an extra days rest, not much but makes a big difference to the players.
ilovebetting, they did – my mistake.
Another goal stat to note in the Juventus v Fiorentina game, in 2015:
Juventus have scored in 10 of their 11 games
Fiorentina have scored in 12 of their 13 games
BTTS looks nailed on and altough its over 2 legs fiorentina know Juve are missing players abd only played on monday, they will go for it tonight .
I like that and doubled up with national vs sporting btts
thoughts
Super Single looks good to me Mr F. Also think these could land;
Over 2.5 match goals 7/5 (Betway)
Over 1.5 Guingamp goals 10/11 (Hills)
raaljaca, it’s one of those – it could be a rout or it could be tight like St Etienne who needed pens to beat Boulogne the other night. The goals bets look good especially the over 1.5 Guingamp. On paper it’s like Clydebank v Hearts.
Thanks Mr Fix it. Probably just stick a fiver on it. Other £5 on BTTS in that and sporting game
Anyone have any team news on the celtic Yth vs Dundee Yth game kicking off at 2pm
I was wondering the same thing, Goal Line is set at 3.5/4 and the last two head to heads were 6-2 and 5-0
Guingamp Manager:
“We are determined to do well. We didn’t have a fruitful last week. It was very satisfying in terms of the attitude of the team, but we just didn’t get the breaks in Kiev or in Nantes. But the spirit of the players is great and we are eager to put in a good performance on Thursday to continue our adventure,” said coach Gourvennec.
“They are inferior to us in the league hierarchy but we have experience of games like this. It will not be easy because it is the cup. They are having a very good season and have improved from last year, even if they were already a good team then.
“The context was difficult when we played them at their ground and struggled to get through. This will be different because it is at Lorient but we are still expecting a difficult match. We need to show that there is a difference between a Ligue 1 team and one from the fourth tier
By the sounds of it Guingamp will go full strength and try to win comfortably, Raals 2 tips looked nailed on by the sounds of the managers determination to get a result.
ILoveBetting, my only worry is that it took Guingamp into extra time to beat Yzeure in the previous round and they are also from this level. No harm in a speculative bet though.
Raal – thats true mate but coming off the back of a bad week i think theyll want to prove a point tonight, and theyr miles apart in terms of quality and leagues, Over 1.5 guingamp goals seems the best bet for me in this game.
Alex- Everton will not get relegated and Martinez is not a clown. I think anyone wouId be better off backing them to win the Europa leage then to get relegated from the Prem. Theyve stuggled to perform consistently on multiple fronts but they’ve prioritosed Eueope. They will be better prepared next time round, or more likely not have the burden of European football, and there’s no way they will go backwards next year. I’ll give you 100/1 they go down on the next 3 season!
Ad- As far as I am concerned Martinez does not have a clue and that was proven while he was at Wigan. The only reason he started ok at Everton was because of the defence that Moyes had put together. You will soon see how many goals Everton start to ship in the next couple of years assuming he is still there. He is an attacking coach which he has taken from his playing days. He managed a Cup win & relegation double with Wigan, what price lightning to strike twice! I would urge you not to ignore the facts of where Everton are in the form table at the moment. Especially with a long trip to Kiev in the horizon and a return to a 6 pointer against QPR.
MR F are you in a bad mood??
Tampine Rovers 0.5 point on btts at 2.0
Borrowed from above
LOST Not sure how though but it happens, back to level for the day.
On your ss mrf 1 point and also 1 point over 2.5 match goals and 1 point guingamp to score 2 as advised by rall.
After decent success on the goal front last night (excluding a speculative acca) I don’t see anything of interest. However thanks to the post wonter break for most leagues being over, there’s a lot of choice over the next few days
Howdy
I am writing a preview of the League Of ireland wich kicks off tomorrwo night and in the time since I started it the favourites to win the title has changed. Dundalk were 5/2, now 11/4. Pats were 11/4 and now 5/2.
Who has put money on them? Raal?
Fitba, I haven’t backed anyone but will take a look at yours mate, thank you.
It’s long winded Raal but I will post it here when completed
Can’t believe my run of form at the minute. Even backed the Tampines game BTTS which is usually nailed on.
craigyboy, you will learn more from losing bets than you will ever do from winning ones.
Very true Raal. Its just frustrating because I’m not doing anything differently to last month.
Even did a ‘safer’ over 1.5 goal double last night on the Mexican League. Every other game finished over 2.5 except the one I backed which finished 1-0.
Tampines and warriors win double just about won. Cashed out practically full whack rather than waiting.

Where is all the Everton hate coming from haha, you boys are mad. Everton won’t be relegated this season. Look at their fixture list.
Home games. Newcastle, Southampton, Burnley, Manchester United, Sunderland, Spurs.
Away games. QPR, Swansea, Villa, West Ham.
Alex think you’re looking through red tinted glasses with your Liverpool FA Cup/Champions League spot double though. Wait to see if you make the Final yet. Will probably make a nice EVS bet if you do.

Shortee, as I said we’re supposed to be helping each other. I don’t understand why people slag each other when everyone wants decent tips and info.
This probably doesn’t count for anything for this game but Guingamp needed extra time to beat this mob away just over a year ago. Gonna back it but I’m not going to go mental with the stakes.

Centreccircle- How r u mate ?
RIght folks here’s a long winded preview of the LOI starting tomorrow. I would advise not going too craxy tomorrow night as if you’ll recall the big teams got off to a slow start last year, Cork excepted.
The Premier Division champions will have a tough time regaining their crown as it’s rare in Ireland for teams to go on and retain the title. Dundalk have won ten titles but have never managed to win it twice in a row. Seven different clubs have won the title in the last ten years and of those only Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers have won it twice. Bohemians won’t win it this year, I’ll give you that for nothing.
Most observers recognise five main challengers. Including the champions, Dundalk, they are St Patricks Athletic, Cork City, Shamrock Rovers and Sligo Rovers. Anyone outside of those five would be a major surprise but Dundalk and Cork surprised most people in the two seasons previous. Neither won but both came close with Dundalk going all the way the season after. Can Cork rise it up another notch this time around? They are available at 5/1 across the board.
As the above suggests this league can be as difficult to predict in the ante-post betting as any league around. Take the differing bookie prices as a case in point. bet365 offer 400/1 on Drogheda to win the title but Ladbrokes don’t go higher than 100/1 and Boylesports are at 150/1. Paddy Power have 300/1 on Limerick while Boyles only go 80/1 and Ladbrokes are as low as 33/1.
Even amongst the top five teams there is disagreement with bet365 offering 20/1 on Sligo and Paddy Power much lower at 9/1. For the top three there is more unison but Paddy Power are top price on Pats, Dundalk and Rovers at 5/2, 11/4 and 11/4 respectively.
Championship challengers.
Dundalk (11/4 Paddy power, bet365)
Dundalk’s big asset is the ability for players from all over the park to score. Seventeen players in total bagged a goal in all competitions last year and I think you will find that hard to beat in any league. They have lost their leading scorer from last year, Pat Hoban, and not as of yet replaced him. The weight will most likely fall on David McMillan’s shoulders who didn’t do too badly coming off the bench and in cup games last season. They have signed an excellent new keeper, Gary Rogers, as Glasgow’s Peter Cherrie has moved north to the Irish League but their best signing looks to be Ronan Finn from Shamrock Rovers. You can expect him to get amongst the goals from midfield. Despite winning the league last season Dundalk have youth on their side with five of the ‘Team Of The Year’ entrants all under the age of twenty-three. A major factor could be the consistency of their team with only Cherrie, Hoban and Mark Rossiter leaving from their recognised first eleven.
Saint Patricks Athletic (5/2 Paddy Power, bet365)
At Pats they will have rued their slow start to last season because as the season ended they had begun to play like the team that won the title the season before. An FAI Cup win will have lifted spirits but I am putting the slow start done to a large turnover of players in preseason. In Chris Forrester and Christy Fagan they have real quality at this level and both of them are proven goal scorers. Fagan topped the charts alongside Pat Hoban last season and will be a big favourite to do so again this year. They haven’t signed as many this season and I don’t think losing Keith Fahey to Shamrock Rovers will hurt them that much. With Forrester and Kiliian Brennan they can still lay claim to having one of the strongest midfield departments in the league.
Cork City (5/1 bet365, Paddy Power, Boylesports)
Cork City’s big signing is Liam Miller who will now partner his fellow former Celtic starlet Colin Healy in the Cork midfield. They have also signed some quality from within the league in Gavin Hoolahan, Kieran Djilali and Karl Sheppard. Former Wimbledon captain Alan Bennett gives them a triumvirate of former Irish internationals. Cork look likely to have the biggest squad in the league and Turners Cross could well become a fortress for them again this year. They get a massive crowd in League Of Ireland terms and are perhaps the best financed team in the competition. They will not be pretty to watch but their style is effective and they should be there or thereabouts again this season.
Shamrock Rovers (11/4 Paddy Power)
Pat fenlon took the reins at Shamrock Rovers towards the end of last season and there was a definite improvement in the teams’ fortunes. He is one of the most decorated players and managers in LOI history so if anyone can lead Rovers to a title it will be him. My concern is the turnover of players from last season with no fewer than nine new signings all likely to come into the side. Plenty are heralding the acquisition of Keith Fahey from St Pats as a masterstroke but Fahey picks up a lot of niggling injuries although if they can keep him fit there is no doubting he is one of the best talents in the league. Up front Danny North has potential but there are doubts over his commitment and fitness. Losing Ronan Finn to Dundalk is a big blow.
Sligo Rovers (20/1 bet365)
Sligo have signed a few interesting players in Denmark’s Morton Neilson and a player St Mirren fans will know a little about, Estonian international Sander Puri. A lot of questions remain over new manager Owen Heary who was guiding Bohemians last season. He has brought four players with him from Bohemians, most notably Dinny Corcoran who scored a lot of goals in all competitions. Many people expect big things from him and although he is still a novice in relative terms he is a very infectious character and was a highly respected player in his day. Bohemians outperformed expectations last season with a young team and with a lot of talk of a good crop of youngsters coming through at Sligo, Heary is unlikely to fear throwing them in. A European finish will be a good result for Rovers this year given the upheaval involved but at a price of 20/1 with bet365 they could be a decent each way chance. They have lost perhaps the best keeper in the league, Gary Rogers, to Dundalk.
Top Scorers
Christy Fagan (9/2 Boylesports)
He will be right up there come the end of the season so long as he can remain injury free. If Pats can begin well and carry on their form from the end of last season he should get plenty of chances and that will give him a great chance to emulate his twenty league goals from last year. Rightly the bookies favourite but much depends on his team’s form and at a short price he wouldn’t be my choice.
Danny North (10/1 Paddy Power)
There is quite a gap between the favourite and Danny North who takes up second favourite with the bookies. North made his name with Pats before joining Sligo in 2012 where he scored fifteen league goals. Since then he has failed to get into double figures and I can’t help but feel that it is only his association with Rovers that his him so high on the list. If Pat Fenlon gets the best out of this side there is every chance he could finish in double figures this year but as the top scorer in the league? With doubts over his fitness and commitment it’s not for me.
Ciaran Kilduff (12/1 Paddy Power)
Kilduff has joined St Pats from Shamrock Rovers where he was loaned to Cork in 2013. He scored eleven goals in fourteen league games and that quickly saw him recalled for the 2014 season. You can put a barren year down to his under performing team but even so six goals in twenty-nine league games leaves a lot to be desired. At St Pats he is going to have to contend with Christy Fagan as the leading man and that could lead to him playing second fiddle for much of it.
David McMillan (12/1 Paddy Power)
This boy has big boots to fill at Dundalk after joint top scorer in the league, Pat Hoban, left for Oxford United. Considering he had to be happy with a place on the bench last season he did very well to finish the season with thirteen goals. Seven of those goals came in the league even though he only started three league games all season. He did start all the league cup games on Dundalk’s route to winning it, bagging five goals in those four starts. They are impressive stats in my opinion and if he can lose the super sub complex I think he has a real chance of being right up there come the end of the season. At Dundalk he will be given plenty of opportunity to score and all the the signs suggest that he knows where the goals are. I will be having an each way punt on him.
Dinny Corcoran (16/1 Boylesports, Paddy Power)
This guy is really interesting and, I think, a little over priced. I would have had him ahead of the man he replaces at Sligo considering he scored thirteen league goals last season in a Bohemians team that only finished seventh. That was enough to see him finish in the top five places in the top scorer standings and after following Owen Heary to Sligo I think he can hit the ground running. Much depends on how Heary and and his influx of new players adapt to life in the football mad town in Ireland’s north-west but if the expectations are met Sligo should be pushing for a European place. His manager can clearly get the best out of him and in pre-season he has been banging in the goals with two hattricks and nine pre season goals in total. Definitely worth a small each way shot to finish in the top four.
Boylesports and Paddy Power both go ¼ the odds for a top four finish and I think both Corcoran and McMillan have a very good chance of finishing the season up there.
I will be backing McMillan and Corcoran each way in teh TGS market and I am hmming and hahhing about a small punt on Sligo e/w.
Problem is it’s only 1st and 2nd in the outright market for each way but 1/3 odds with 365
Id like to confess that I have been using a VPN and posting under other names for years. My other alias is …………..Greg Browning , and sometimes I use Raaljaca. Sorry for any confusion, so glad to get that off my chest.Anyone else ?

Rall – Your right about learning from losing bets, lesson learned last night to the tune of 15 points.
Stick to level and 1/2 stakes. I got cocky and paid the price.
A little profit or minimal loss each day keeps the game going, varying bet levels sends you bust.
Guys, bets are either hit or miss. I know some are living out of betting, but im sure thats not good in a long run, you have a stressful life, your future is not safe guaranteed.
I take betting as a fun, with budget I can afford to spend over month, sometimes +, sometimes -, but overall i havent made any serious money with it, its more or less even,.. still waiting for that BIG MASSIVE win with one ticket.
I could have just play lottery, or casino but I just dont see fun there, and its more dangerous aswell (more pacey) I like sport so with betting Im up to date with all the infos, results, fixtures etc.. :)

Its important to check team news firstly, but if he does start… its an amazing price considering he has scored consecutively in his last three games and four in total since his loan move from Chelsea. He is pretty much involved in everything good that Fiorentina do from an attacking point and view and has proved to be more than capable of filling the void left by Cuadrado.
Salah to score at 5/1 is a very good price. I am on it if he starts, although I am sure Juve are well aware he is the man to watch.
I also have some on Morata anytime at 7/4 for this game. Might be betting with my heart though, as this is the game I am watching tonight.

Jordan-re Everton its based on their poor form. It really depends on whether they wake up or not and how quickly they do so. A defeat in their next game and they will be dragged into a fight. When I posted the first time I made it clear it was a bet for a few pounds and for my amusement.
Re Liverpool-I think we will beat Blackburn at the weekend which means that our odds for the Cup will be slashed again which allows a cash in for profit hence why I took the bet with 365. In terms of our league form in the last 10 games we are top of the form pile with 8 wins and 2 draws while playing some pretty attractive stuff if I am brutally honest. Take a look here: http://www.flashscore.com/soccer/england/premier-league/ In the second half of the previous two seasons we have picked 2.5 points per game and we are currently hitting that marker. My view is formed on the evidence of what I am seeing, the current statistics and our run in when compared to your fixtures. If the positions were reversed and United were playing the type of football Liverpool I certainly would not back them, so in that sense I don’t blame you.
having a shocker on here so jumped over onto the horses thread landed a lovely 9/1 thanks to johnb
boys on that thread are doing great and a good few bob being made for those who don’t watch that thread have a look
Would 365 give cashout on a bet like that as your positions in the league/cup gets better? If so then probably not a bad bet. Just don’t think Everton will be relegated. It’s either going to stay how it is or Sunderland replace one of the bottom 3. That’s my views anyhow.
Jordan it’s precisely why I took the bet. They are offering cash in minus some pennies for the time being. It is a calculated risk that assumes that we get through to the next round while two of our main competitors for the FA Cup go up against one another.

Essentially a midfielder but plays at left back (he’s right footed). Fiorentina usually play with wingers or wide midfielders so should be caused a few problems. He’s picked up 3 yellows and two reds in 13 appearances in Serie A. One being a straight red so he clearly likes a tackle.

Oh my I thought the Guingamp game was done with. Cheers Raal/Mr F. Not sure who mentioned it first. I’ll always cover when I can but happy with that!
Have to say Raal top shouts on Auxerre and Fiorentina DC too!
Guingamp-saved everyone today. Backed them again at 11-2 last 6 minutes, my word great free kick :D
I think youll find i tipped Fiorentina before Raal, no fair! lol only joking
Raal – Nice work wish I was on it but great work :-)
Unlucky tonight with your bet harpreet, only 2 goals out better luck next time bud!
Mr Tanner my knowledge outside Mexico or the MLS in the Americas is slim to none. What do you reckon of Herediano BTTS? Also Atletico Nacional 1.5 team goals look a beauty. That or over 2.5 as Estudiantes can score themselves.
ILoveBetting. I believe you tipped BTTS?
THE STRONGEST +1
Markets not yet available on Hills and i can probably see why. Universidad De Chile have lost their past 5 games straight.
I tipped Audax Italiano +1 against them on Monday and that landed. They have started the season in shocking form and despite The Strongest being a touch and go side away from home both in the Libertadores and in the League, they have to be fancied here.
I was looking at The Strongest double chance and that is a whopping 8/5 William Hill.
Double that up with a River Plate at 4/7 William Hill side who are intent on cementing their South American reputation in the Libertadores and have made this competition their prime target this season after winning the Sudamericana last year.
River Plate 4/7
The Strongest DOUBLE CHANCE 8/5
Small stakes, as what we have seen from the Libertadores this year is that it is far more unpredictable than last year’s Tournament
i believe Raal said, Fiorentina DC? is that a tip?
Yes, yes its is. Raal doesn’t post odds for nothing.
Fiorentina Double Chance to give the bet it’s full title ;)
the Double is 3.08/1 William Hill
Jordan – Be interesting so see what mr t is looking at tonight.
James – Thanks for the write up, i will follow that one with 1 point double bet.
I was looking at UDC;s form earlier and couldnt understand the huge odds for a half decent away side.
Would you also consider btts in the UDC game (got to have a chance)
The Stongest are 5/1 the noo on coral if anyone is interested :-)
Double (borrowed from James)
River Plate to win @ 1.57
Draw or The Strongest @ 2.80
0.5 point to return 2.2. points
Will consider the other 0.5 point on BTTS in the strongest game in play as quite short at 1.66
Just one bet today
THe strongest match 12-14 corners 3/1
Over 14 corners 7/1
Sensible stakes
think therel be 6 or more corners first half n another 6 2nd
Dave – not a problem mate, best of luck but i would advise caution with the Universidad game, however, the stats do speak for themselves and there’s no getting away from the fact that Universidad De Chile have started the season abysmally, losing to modest teams in the Chilean league.
Yes i would consider the BTTS in the game but that’s come a cropper for me a few times in these Libertadores games so i would be cautious with that.
I think the safest bet in the game is over 0.5 The Strongest team goals and that is 1/2 William Hill.
Wee Pat – 5/1 on The Strongest is a great price but if you look at their form, they’ve been competing in the Libertadores since 2004 and have NEVER won an away game in the competiton, which is quite incredible..
Could tonight be the night? It would be the mother of all shocks if it were
Was on Guingamp as a single and also over 1.50 goals and had thought all was lost. What a strike to win the game and you certainly can’t beat that feeling when the ball hits the net and the £££££££££££ roll in.
Serrano v Confianca SE. Brazil Copa. 11.30pm.
Over 2.5 mg 17/20.
ilovebetting, other comment’s deleted – just leave it at that please.
Mirwet, that’s great news.
How long has he been here Mr F because I’ve not seen him before?
Why does everyone not just ignore anyone that they do not like or think are a waste of space by commenting about them in a childish pathetic way just shows they are letting them get to them, gets really boring seeing all the complete tosh that is spouted on here at times.
I would have PFF but being called an idiot is something I don’t take lightly. Especially to people that have been here half a week.
Treble for Tonight:
BAHIA 2/5 (in play) William Hill
RIVER PLATE 4/7 William Hill
THE STRONGEST DOUBLE CHANCE 8/5 William Hill
Mr F ok but it was clearly a light hearted joke, jordan were you from??
UDC V The Strongest
0.5 points on Asian corners over 10 @1.85 (from Alves)
0.5 cheeky little over 14 corners @7.0 (from Paul)
JS – Only started watching football from this part of the world in November.
Seen the strongest play a few times and they have drawn a few and looked a reasonable side away from home (despite not winning many)
I didn’t realise they had not won away in the cop though lol (that worries me, but hey tonight a draw will do)
I am working on the basis that the home sides form has been shocking and leaking goals will surely lead to am open game (hence the corner bets as well)
Release the hounds Mr F, restore some order and set the dug on ’em :)
Dave I’m surprised he’s not popped on yet.
Also is it just me or do a lot of the COP games go to 0-0 at half time (the ones i have been betting on recently have lol) and stayed 0-0 as well.
Dave – It’an amazing part of the world for football that does have real value and no shortage of corners, goals and cards.. particulary of the red nature!
After watching The Strongest play after a few times throughout the last year or so, they play aggresive football and are exceptionally strong (no pun intended) at home.
Away from home? They’re a different kettle of fish. However..
Like many people on here and extremely good tipsters like Raal and co would agree, stats are not everything. Look at form here. Universidad De Chile are on a shocking run of form heading into this game. Yes, they did rest a few players against Audax Italiano but the fact of the matter is they have lost 4 out of the last 5 in ALL competitions and also they haven’t won a Libertadores game yet, losing away to Internacional, fair enough they’re a good team at home but they lost 1-0 at home to Emelec who certainly aren’t one of the favourites to win the competition and will not get far
Jordan – Yea he normally operates this time of night, i am sure he will turn up.
This game will either go two ways, Universidad will rout them or it will be a tight game
James The Strongest have one of the best home advantages of world football, and that’s the altitude the play in, which also benefits wherever they travel so I think them to score like you said is a decent bet considering UDC’s current form. We shall see though. Already in play so I’m going to look somewhere else.
Herediano/Olimpia
Atl Nacional/Estudiantes
Over 1.5 match goals double
EVS @ WillHill
GOOOOOOOOOOAL THE STRONGEST!
Haha couldn’t have timed my comment any better.
Get in there The strongest, that was coming and should happened earlier.
Back up corner bet might be required lol
Jordan mate you make a brilliant point. The altitude is a huge plus for them as any team travelling high up in the mountains where they play is a struggle.
I remember Argentina playing a friendly or a Copa America game a year or so back and the team had oxygen masks in intervals cause they couldn’t handle it!
1-1 though they have just equalised
1/2 though for over 0.5 Strongest Goals was the pick though i have to say did look solid
before the goal +1 Strongest was 5/4, should have got on cracking value
Jordan – Will have a little dabble on your double later 0.94 points bank leveller (may not make it that late as been a long day)
Looked at the stats and must have a reasonable chance
Goaallllll :-) the strongest
What way will the red cards go tonight, hopefully the right way.
IN PLAY BET:
River Plate 10/11 Willam Hill
Well on top against Tigres and will win this game
JS – I am hoping it stays 0 0 until half time and then will pounce with a point in play 2nd half to win.
should drift towards 2.0 by then
Ok Dave only on small stakes in South America as like James said red cards are just as regular as goals. Reasons though are Herediano are a decent side in their domestic league and Olimpia actually knocked out Portland Timbers from the MLS who are a good side on their day so BTTS was another option as the first leg ened 0-0 but thought I’d double it up with the Nacional game as both teams are in form and scoring and this is the biggest trophy in South America/Mexico, could compare it to Europes Champions League. So both teams should go for every point possible.
0-0? 1-1. :D
Will be over 2.0 now, that was against the run of play.
Deportivo Tachira Vs Deportivo Petare btts 5/4 (Venezuela)
Just a small bet on this tonight, not much taking my fancy in the copa other than goals in the strongest game which was a bit short!
I thought that Damo but the bookies knew it also by the line at 3.5.
Yeah 3.5 is a touch steep for any game in this competition! Always rely on The Strongest games for a few goals though, play every game like a 5 a side match, 100mph. I’m sure they even draw straws for whoever needs to go in goals.
Wow 1-0 Tigres! 1st shot of the game.
River Plate now 10/3. They simply HAVE to win this game as they lost the last game to San Jose away and defeat here would leave them hanging on by a thread in the group.
I’d take DNB
In play
1 Point
over 0.5 goals Bahia game
Over 1.5 goals River plate game
returns 1.99 points
also had a cheeky 0.5 point on a River plate recovery to win at 4.0
Hi Mr Jordan! I’m edging towards Herediano team goals but will see in the next half hour. In the Libertadores match you mentioned I was think along the lines of a narrow Nacional win but I may not bet on the Libertadores matches tonight, GL with your double.
Damo- GL in Venezuela mate. Are you thinking goals in the Jets game later?
Good morning Shaun! Yeah looks a great game for goals. Sydneys games have been ridiculous recently, average of nearly 6 goals in their last 5 games.
Liking sydney team goals at the moment! What you thinking?
Also Janko is leading scorer in the A-League so far with 12 goals and seems to be the only decent striker with goals in form at the moment. Might have a dabble on him to score for Sydney later, first team goal & anytime.
1-0 Bahia! :)
Just had a small punt on Bucaramanga to win 1-0 (correct score) 15/4- bit of a random bet there! Haha.
Now for 1 more goal in the River game, surely that will come :-)
FFS Bucaramanga get a penalty under a minute after I post & score. Much too early for the correct score now, was hoping for a goalless first half.
Red Card The Strongest..
Well they do play with aggression!
Hope they can dig deep and hang on but we’ve got a long way to go
To long to go with ten, need to find some cover for my 1.5 points as the corner bets are struggling as well
Haha Damo no wonder they’re so strong at home. Running round like energizer bunnies while the other team are performing CPR on eachother!
Meesta Shaun! The way I saw these games were Herediano have only failed to score once at home this year (against Alajuelense) and Olimpia haven’t failed at all all year (8 games). Atletico game is the iffy one as the price seems a bit too good for over 1.5 but again, both teams in form with Atletico failing to net once in 10 with Estudiantes winning and scoring 13 in their last 5.
Goal Universidad De Chile, thats my que for bed haha.
Pity about the Red Card
Damo- Sydney team goals looks good. I might be swayed into going for the BTTS & overs at a slightly bigger price.
Sydney do tend to concede a lot and in the three games they’ve not conceded, two have seen them not scoring either, nothing ending 0-0.
The Jets have only failed to score in 2 of their home games this season, the last game saw a 0-0 between Central Coast but from what I’ve saw of Central they can be a stubborn team to break down.
Like the look of btts and overs as well! May as well see if they can keep up with their average, over 4.5 MG at 19/4 and 5.5MG at 11/1 haha I’m sticking a half penny on each.
Get in River, just need another one for profit profit profit.
Shame The strongest had the red as kind of ended the game
End to end in the River Plate game, wouldn’t be surprised if there was in a winner in this one!
In play
1 Point
over 0.5 goals Bahia game
Over 1.5 goals River plate game
returns 1.99 points
WON – Needed this to offset 2 points loss on the strongest and river double and 2x corner bets
Just need a river win for 0.5 profit overall from tonights games and Jordans double pending
JS – It was worth an outside bet on the Strongest, as you say the red ruined it.
Damo they are pushing hard. Not sure whether to take River Plate or the third goal! Arrrgh!
Cmon riverrr…blow that parking chelsky style bus up !!
In-play now-
Nautico over 1.5 team goals (Brazil Copa)
Herediano over 1.5 team goals (CONCAF CL)
DOUBLE 1.98/1
Herediano over 1.5 team goals 8/11 SINGLE BET.
Might cashout DNB but the odds aint falling down..surprisingly.
Cheers Dave mate, no prizes for a losing bet but still, 8/5 was real value and for 70 minutes we got a good run. As mentiioned earlier by Jordan and myself, Reds in South America really do ruin games.
In Europe teams are a bit more flexible and adapt to sendings off sometimes but down in South America it ususally does kill it off
Jordan- you are spot on with your posts regarding the Herediano match. Good info mate.
Glad you won on your goals bet though Dave good lad
Lovely job Mr Tanner! 3-0 Serrano!

If Olimpia had scored that pen we’d be laughing on cover Dave! Buggers!
Lovely double there Mr Tanner!

Juan Alcrich v San Jose. Over 2.5 mg 19/20
Added Nacional to win in a DOUBLE paying 3.38/1
Not overly confident! Haha.
LOST!!!
Thank you Mr T. Quite glad as I was nearly greedy and went with the Nacional team goals! Unlucky with that double mate but you’ve had a good night. Off to slumber land now. Night mate.
Jordan- its just so frustrating the Libertadores at the moment. Two goals in the first half in Aurich then nothing 2nd, typical.
Yeah not to bad tonight mate. Night bud.
