TopTips_Betfred

ONE goal too many at the Brest match beat yesterday's Daily Double but most of the teams I flagged up on a quiet day won.

Irish league leaders Dundalk were a strong fancy at -1 but I was worried about them fielding a weakened team while Kaiserslautern made it seven wins in eight at home to 1860 Munich after trailing 2-0 and Rijeka won at Istra.

Both teams to score at Djurgarden v Helsingborgs came in but Brest's winner beat for an under 2.5 goals tip taken on stats. I see Clermont Foot coach Corinne Diacre is moaning about conceding two late goals. But what does she know about football anyway (only joking).

Tonight there are four Champions League qualifiers and two Petrofac Training Cup clashes in Scotland – Rangers v Hibs and Dunfermline v Raith.

Both are intriguing games and while Rangers haven't impressed pre-season they enough quality in the shape of Kris Boyd and Kenny Miller up front to see off a Hibs side still finding their way under Alan Stubbs. However, they are no bigger than 4-7 at Paddy Power.

It was Boyd who scored a winner for Kilmarnock at Easter Road in May that consigned Hibs to a relegation play-off which they lost to Hamilton and the Scottish top-flight's leading scorer of all time is 4-1 at Coral to hit the opener. To be fair first goal could quite as easily go to Miller on his return to Ibrox but I'm on Boyd and for the Super Single taking him at 1-1 with Betfred to net at anytime.

McBookie, however, are offering 3-1 on Rangers for new account holders (terms and conditions apply).

The Fife derby between Dunfermline and Raith is always fiercely fought and best bet here could be goals. The sides' matches at the weekend totalled 12 (Raith's 4-2 win coming after extra time) and the Pars could fancy their chances after making some decent buys including striker Michael Moffat from Ayr.

In the Champions League you have to fancy Panathinaikos with home advantage to edge out Standard Liege after a 0-0 draw in Belgium and BATE will be confident at home to Debrecen after a 1-0 defeat in Hungary although the Belarussians have won just one of their last five matches.

Both games promise to be tight and Liege started just four of the side who drew with the Greeks in their 3-2 weekend win over Kortrijk so it shows the importance they're placing on it. Unders in both ties could be the shout.

Maccabi Tel-Aviv also trail 1-0 from the first leg against Maribor and should wipe that out although are disadvantaged by having to play the tie in neutral Cyprus.

The other tie sees Lille start 2-0 in front after an impressive show away to Grasshoppers and the French side should extend that lead against a side held 0-0 by Sion at the weekend.

Lille played really well in the first leg by all accounts but don't need to do much progress and if they decide to protect their lead they'll probably keep a clean sheet as they had the best defensive record in Ligue 1 last season.

Could all four ties go under 2.5 goals. It's possible and while it's not really a tip I'll be having a small wager at 15-2 with McBookie and BetVictor.

My thoughts on the MU v Liv first half

    Phil Jones shocking defender.

Jones, o’shea and Smalling as a back 3 not many clean sheets there.

Rooney when was the last time he did anything on the pitch.

Young back to his old self, i.e not in the game.

This is a poor MU team, and I have backed them big style to win tonight. so i’m the gobshite.

Liverpool have been far better, apart from the final third.

    • Jack Fenn 10 years ago

I backed United to win too (don’t know why I’d ever do that) if there was anytime I’d want to lose its them.

But unless this is a lot of sarcasm, you’ve got the wrong Irish defender, O’Shea has been go for a couple of years now. Rooney has his on and off times, he’ll never fulfill his potential because of his attitude. Asking to leave United twice and his lack of fitness.
Phil Jones was poor as he has been a lot, but the lad is 22, and there aren’t many great 22 and under centre-backs who are rated. Can’t argue with the Ashley Young comments and their general poor play though
Rooney has his issues, Mata as much as he’s likeable won’t fight for his place so Ferguson wouldn’t have had him. Shaw was over priced. Herrera and Fletcher don’t strike fear into you.

I am not sexiest in any way but you have to see the irony in a club called Brest beating clermont foots female boss in her first game in charge :-) I wish her every success in her future matches

    • Jack Fenn 10 years ago

Does anybody know about that? I’m sure she resigned a month or two back, but she’s in charge now?

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Think it was a different woman who resigned.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Jack, Clermont’s first female boss Costa resigned before playing a game and they replaced her with Diacre.

  3. craigyboy 10 years ago

One small bet for Liverpool v Man United.
Liverpool first goal before 20mins. 3/1.

    ***WIN***

The only positive for Man U is Ashley Young looks a completely different player. I’m sure Van Gaal will be keen to improve his defence after this performance. Coutinho and Sterling are making Man U look saft.

  7. Jack Fenn 10 years ago

Okay, well I’ve never seen anything like that in my life.

  8. WTF 10 years ago

I backed them again at H/T as well Jack, being a Yorkshireman .hard to cheer when they score

    • Jack Fenn 10 years ago

Who do you support pal? Leeds? But yeah being Chelsea it’s tough. Gonna cash out now me thinks and go for -1 as I still have United and over 2.5 and United to lift the trophy! Well in mate, hope it works out for both of us!

    • Jack Fenn 10 years ago

Was also gonna say to you, this Lingard kid who’s coming on as I’m typing looks a prospect. That he is.

  9. Bob Lowe 10 years ago

The disallowed goal Jack? Just read about it on live text. Had small stake on o3.5 match goals which has been paid out. Put the stake back on after the goal got took back, but the bet has since suspended and listed as ‘won’ again. Fully expecting it to get returned and my stake took back off me if it doesn’t come in before FT ;-)

    • Jack Fenn 10 years ago

Yeah mate it wasn’t a goal, it was odd. It hit the little bit of metal on the top of netting which I suppose helps keep the crossbar connected to the post, and the backspin (maybe?) carried it to Rooney to tap it in. They gave it, until the linesman got information of what happened. Though I’d love to see what would happen in a league game, because I’m pretty sure they can’t do that. Good luck pal, as long as it’s a United goal!

  10. WTF 10 years ago

Spot on Jack I’m a Leeds fan, so the last 10 years have been
shite, been going since Billy was boss on pitch and Don in the dugout great days.

Enjoyed O’leary’s time that was fun,

    3-1 have it

    • Jack Fenn 10 years ago

I can’t support you in any way then I’m sorry! :P my Dad is the reason I love Chelsea and he also mentions that cup final to me…
No Leeds are a great side with great support would love to see you get promoted in all honesty.

  11. Shaun tanner 10 years ago

Jack- why did it take until Man u took the lead for you to tell everyone you doubled up at h/t?

  12. Shaun tanner 10 years ago

It would of been more impressive if you posted in on h/t giving reasons why you were doing it. Well done though. :)

    • Jack Fenn 10 years ago

Shaun mate, understandable you saying that I’d not been doing well recently and I didn’t want to post some losing tips yet again, lacking confidence I suppose. Once I got that going, I did post the -1 tip, about 10/15 minutes before they scored! I think I was rather nice about them at half time seeing as I never want them to win.

  13. Bob Lowe 10 years ago

That’s crazy, never heard of that happening before. Definitely gonna be finding a video of it tomorrow! Since the 4th goal had come in, both my bets re-appeared available for check-out, with full payout available. Naturally I accepted before the offer went, but it’s almost as strang an occurrence as the ‘goal’ situation. Surely a software glitch?

  14. Bob Lowe 10 years ago

Scrub that, they have since adjusted my balance ;-) Fair play I ‘spose.

    • Jack Fenn 10 years ago

Don’t know how to explain it to you. You will have to find a video. The referee gave the goal, and I was like, what just happened because everyone stopped playing? And I couldn’t see how the ball could come off the crossbar like that. Turns out its because it had gone out in play. But it’s one of those once every few years scenario’s. The 3.5 came in though, so no worries right? :D

  15. Shaun tanner 10 years ago

You’ve actually posted in slagging them off but then thought I best double up on that?

    • Jack Fenn 10 years ago

They seemed more committed than Liverpool and 11/2 seemed a ridiculous price. I should have pointed it out though. Just didn’t for the reasons above. Glad it worked out for you though, and you’ve had a fantastic day. I’m happy to mail you all my ideas if you want mate, just don’t want to tip too much on the general site unless I’m hitting a very good win rate :)

    • Jack Fenn 10 years ago

I did say on the other thread I thought they’d win, I thought they’d finish ahead of Liverpool this year. I’m just trying to post the best I can, as we all do, and I’m sure if anyone was following the 5/2 tip I posted was good enough. Can’t all post 90% winning tips like you!

I did notice the -1, very good shout! I would never bet against my boys though! :D

    • Jack Fenn 10 years ago

Shaun. No I don’t see you like that, I know everybody gets a little heated in defeat, especially when there’s money involved. It’s hard to get things across via media. I think United lack, and I wasn’t confident enough to back them at h/t on here, because I’ll feel awful if I lose you guys money. More confident on the handicap so hopefully people got on it :).
Will be following you closely tomorrow, no pressure ;)

Approaching the 70th minute, and people seemed to be favoring the home side. At 0-0 may be worth a small ‘interest’ punt.

  23. Monty 10 years ago

Watching the cucuta columbia league 2 match stats say there have been 4 shots on target I must have blinked and missed them all however over 50 fouls in 65 mins that stat I do believe.

    • Jack Fenn 10 years ago

Been that bad? Just saw what others were saying online and thought it might be worth flagging up but the stats won’t show on mine.

    • Jack Fenn 10 years ago

    • Jack Fenn 10 years ago

No worries mate, I don’t take much too seriously, no apologies needed :)
And as far as I’ve seen the last week or two, you make a good profit at least, which is what matters!
Yeah, I’ve given myself some time off on my bad spell, which probably looking back wasn’t as bad as I thought. Will try and post more with more research now the season is starting and hopefully I can help you for a change!

Looking forward to seeing the Racing post preview on the new season. For me I think Sheffield United look a good bet to get promoted at 7/4 Bet365 out of all the divisions. Nigel Clough as made some good signings just recently Michael Higdon was added to the squad, that had a great second half of the season, including a great FA cup run.

Bristol City look a team that could challenge for promotion also, but for me I with the blades. Any United fans have any input on their teams chances this season I would like to hear their opinions.

SHEFFIELD UNITED TO WIN PROMOTION 7/4

    Anyways onto today
Pyunik 2 in armenia play newly promoted uliseses and theres usually goals in this league as we all know. Bit of a punt with being first game of nee season so just folliwing on with last seasons form here guys 1.5 fhg 3.5 ft goals should be the play. not checked odds yet

did look at minsk women but the h2h is 3 under 3.5 and 2 over so not too solid. Id probably be more interested in 1.5 fhgs or half time minsk inplay if get the chance for value. They usually start fast then fizzle out but are fully capable of a bagful.

Australian FFA Cup tonight 7.30 and 8pm aussie times respectively. The FFA round of 32 is affected by some of the A-league players playing in the all stars side against juventus.
7.30pm newcastle jets v perth glory. Jets goalie misses this game for the above reason but perth who had a shocker last year in the league have a number of injury doubts but still boast an impressive forward line. I’m edging towards the jets in this game as home advantage, in so much as it is next door to Hunter Stadium and should be small loud 3500 crowd, and glory travelling from other side of country makes me think maybe 2-1 or the like to the jets.
In the other game at 8pm AEST I would normally have no doubts about backing adelaide against kiwis wellington but adelaide coach and staff are on all stars duty. Adelaide after a rocky start last year getting used to the new coach tactics hit a rich vein of form as season drew to a close and phoenix can blow hot and cold. Phoenix have had decent results in friendlies and this looks a tight one.
    Tips are
    newcastle v perth

    o2.5 main bet 1.85 bet 365
Btts main bet not available yet here in aussie land. Will appear 5 mins before im sure

    Adelaide v wellington

Sheffield United to win promotion is the safer bet to have … I took them to be champions @ 6s a while back … Yes the pre season has been sketchy, but looking back to 1 game they really wanted to win against big opposition was vs the the turkish Champions of Fenerbahce!
And seeing the Blades come from 0-1 down to be victors 2-1 just proved that we mean business this season … And just look at the horrendous start we had last season, to turn it around and just miss out was heart ache but a bliss for the latter end.
For me (a Blade) i believe they can EASILY make promotion but ive taken the Champions slot!
Ill be at the lane vs Bristol City on saturday so lets hope we WANT it as much as we DESERVE it.

Lille -1 asian handicap tonight, I need peoples thoughts and opinions please? thanks!

    • craigyboy 10 years ago

James I’d say that’s a good shout but the early rounds of the Champions League and Europa League have been less than profitable for me and a few others so I’m very reluctant to pluck for anything in these competitions at the minute.
The one bet that looks attractive is Panathanaikos at home to Standard. Greece is notoriously a difficult place to travel to and 11/10 there’s some value in backing the home side IMO.
I’ll see what today brings as their are some games which could be worth investing in before these evening games. I may have a small punt if I have a good day.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

James, Lille were much better than Grasshoppers last week but we don’t know their mindset. Are they happy to hold on to what they have or do they go for mnore goals? Minus one wouldn’t be a bet for me but good luck if you go for it.

What are people’s thoughts on the inplay stats that the bookies show, I can’t believe how much they vary ie shots on target. When comparing bet365 and ladbrokes inplay stats you sometimes can’t believe it’s the same game. I do alot of inplay betting based on these stats, but sometimes I do question how accurate they are :-?

  57. mo 10 years ago

Greasy chip butty, I’m also a blade and agree that 7/4 is definitely a good bet to gain promotion, I do fancy us to win the league, but I also think Preston will be strong.

Cheers Craig thanks, got them in an acca with lech poznan, steau bucharest, viktoria plzen, lyon and dinamo zagreb. Just think the Lille -1 will be a close call as either a 1-0 or 2-0 win. They did the job away from home last week so not sure if they will go for it or not. The Panathanaikos bet looks a good well although i fancy the unders in that

  60. mo 10 years ago

Cheers Happy, I just don’t know how that shots on target can be so different, unless they are trying to influence us :-) for example the teplice game says 4 shots on goal according to bet365 and ladbrokes says 8, quite a difference there!

  61. Ad 10 years ago

a simple daily double from me on the tennis front today.

    Jack Sock d Melzer
    Vandeweghe d Zhang
    pays 6/5

Sock is in good form, with 7 wins to 3 losses post wimbledon, four of those wins coming on U.S hard courts and those losses coming to the eventual champion of all three tournaments, Hewitt, Raonic and Isner (Sock beat Isner the weak before. Melzer on the other hand has played just once since Wimbledon, a straight sets loss to Andujar on clay in Austria. Canada may not be quite the U.S, but Sock will be the more at home here and the more grooved of the two, and I expect him to win here.

Vandeweghe was on fire in the grass court season, taking the title in Hertogenbosch with some very impressive wins along the way. post wimbledon, she’s played 4 and won 3 on hardcourt, the loss a tough 3 setter to eventual finalist Kerber, and two of the wins coming this week in very encouraging style, 6-0, 6-2 v Glushko and 6-0, 6-3 v Dabrowski. Zhang has lost her last four matches, and has played just once since wimbledon, a crushing 6-1, 6-2 hardcourt defeat to Sachia Vickery. Zhang usually wins very little outside of her native China, and the North American setting should give a further edge to Vandeweghe, as should the head to head which she leads 1-0.

  63. Fitba Tips 10 years ago

    Raal

Ia Alagui fit? Heffernan? If they both play I will be backing BTTS in a double with the Dunfermline match but I can’t fins any evidence of either player starting any preseason friendlies as of yet.

Boyd is bound to score and I will be having a wee punt on him grabbing one.

Perhaps going to back Moffat AGS too and on the verge of doing a Moffat/Boyd double to finish top scorers in their divisions.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Fitba, fit or not they will have to play for Hibs to field a full team! When Butcher was booted out Hibs had/have released 25 players including youth team and Stubbs has brought in 4. Their squad is depleted and he has approached Dean Shiels, James McFadden and Jon Daly and none of them wanted to join him. Beginning of September Hibs have some very large financial repayments to meet and the club is in a very poor way so do not expect any decent signings and just oppose Hibs week after week! To be honest if Hibs got a result at Ibrox tonight then Hearts should go odds on to win the Championship!! :)

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

raaljaca, Racing Post’s tip on the Championship is Hearts without Rangers at evens. That’s the correct bet in my opinion. Can’t see past Rangers/Hearts one-two.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Calling it right in my opinion re first 2 Mr F but will be very close. Match bets are going to be interesting.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

raaljaca, I’ll watch tonight’s game with interest. If Rangers look poor I’ll be on Hearts at the weekend or the double chance at least.

  64. Fitba Tips 10 years ago

turns out he started the last 3 friendlies but never got a full run out and hasn’t managed a goal yet.

  65. hampy 10 years ago

that is a bit of a difference mo haha. All i can think with these games is they have people at the games noting attacks and shots etc and directly put these on line on inplays from there so the most feasible thing there in difference is human error. Suppose ya doing right comparing 2 different sites bud

  66. 10 years ago

    mo
I think there will be a good few decent contenders this season.
But should United not take the foot off the gas, we should take 40-50 home points this season …
And then minimum 30 away ;-) i cant see us finishing below 5!!! And i think itll be a comfortable run after Xmas (unlike the previous few seasons) not playin catch up again.
    97 hours : 7 mins :-)

My 4 Fold for the day –

    Rangers
    Lille
    Panathinaikos
Newcastle (i cant not bet on my team haha)

brings in just under 6/1 @bet365

  68. Goldengoat 10 years ago

Mr. F and Raal, need some help. I have won a £50 free bet with Hills in a raffle. The conditions are that I must place the lot on any single or combination. I am looking to place a bet on the weekend but I only ever back with much smaller stakes than this.

A nice little 4 or 5/1 treble would be cool so, can I pick your brains?

I fancy the Wolves to beat Norwich @ 6/4 but I cant let my heart rule my head. Therefore, I am looking for a more realistic, minimal risk wager.

    Your input would be appreciated.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Wait until Saturday Goldengoat and a Scottish BTTS treble will possibly materialise.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Goldengoat, there are tips on the site every day so take your pick. No one can give you a guaranteed treble at 4-1 or 5-1 so remember your chances of winning at those prices are about 20 per cent. Also be aware the £50 stake is unlikely to be included in any winnings.

  69. cooldude 10 years ago

1plus2, Ive just read about Jon Jones in a bust up with another fighter over twitter comments. Do you think it was a publicity stunt?

    • 1plus2 10 years ago

Quite possibly dude as that seems to be the in thing nowadays the more bust ups the more bums on seats in the future.

    • cooldude 10 years ago

1plus2 correct me if I’m wrong but I just don’t think UFC is as popular when Lesnar and Mir were title contenders. The heavyweights there now are a little soft imo.

    • 1plus2 10 years ago

Aye dude tbh I do not watch as much nowadays as you say the old days seemed better and more eye catching.

There will always be the hard core fans but personally give me boxing every day of the week m8

    • Froody 10 years ago

Probably not, as it puts the fight in jeopardy. Hope Cormier wins, but JBJ has too big an arsenal.

  70. cooldude 10 years ago

Raal, I missed the Utd game. Any good goals??

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

dudes, I didn’t watch it either mate as it was way past my bedtime

William is it a footy or racing pullout?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

cooldude, it’s a 72-page football pullout, preview to the season. A must buy and I’ve just picked mine up.

  73. William bailie 10 years ago

Good call on the racing post pull out raal/mrf . Such a read ! Nearly too much to take in !

  74. Mattr 10 years ago

Eolves will not beat Norwich IMO. Norwich for promotion

  75. Ernie 10 years ago

Raal Hearts at nearly 3/1 on sunday is over priced i think….. Could easily see them getting a result! Rangers are absolutely terrible and hearts have brought in decent players….

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Ernie, you’ll get a better idea about Rangers after tonight. For me unless they are hit by sanctions they’ll win the league. You can’t underestimate how many goals Kris Boyd might get at this level and Kenny Miller’s a good signing because he’ll give it his best shot. Hearts are looking decent but it’s still a really young squad.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Ernie, Hearts DOUBLE CHANCE is 19/20 mate, that is a cracking bet.

  76. Tony 10 years ago

Ral don’t be Mad mate hearts go odds on to win championship. It would be one game an the first one of the season at that. Hibs could win the night then we beat you’s on sunday. Both good games to look forward to many tickets have you’s got for Sunday

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Was only joking Tony mate as we should already be odds on!! ;)

  77. Kendog 10 years ago

Has anyone lumped on Forest yet for Saturday? Havent Blackpool hardly got a team!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Kendog, Pearce is not happy I see as Forest have sold 2 players he wanted to keep. Says he wont walk away but may not be a very good atmosphere there at present.

Just having problems with the Aussies finding the net . This ain’t the Brisbane prem for sure .

  80. craigyboy 10 years ago

As a Wolves fan I’d quite happily take a draw against Norwich. Something to build on against a team who will no doubt be vying for automatic promotion. Disappointed with Wolves recruitment so far. Tommy Rowe is a great signing but he’s out injured and Van La Parra I know comes with pedigree having played with Heerenveen in Eredivisie but he may be one who takes time to settle in. This leaves us with effectively the same team that got us promoted. We need a proven centre half and we need another striker. Hope the rumours about us signing Agaard are true. Massively impressed with him when he came down the Molineux.

Is it available in Wales Mr F?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Mattr, how would I know that? If you get the Racing Post in Wales normally then you’ll get it. It’s a free pullout inside today’s paper.

    • mattr 10 years ago

Wasn’t sure if Racing Post was a Scottish only publication having never bought it, to be honest was getting mixed up with your paper too. Cheers

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

mattr, OK. I thought the Wales question was strange. We print it in Scotland but it’s produced in London.

  84. Tony 10 years ago

Paul what sanctions if money runs out?

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Tony, no one knows for sure how Rangers sit financially and what’s going to happen in the future. The usual rumours are about and I think anyone backing Rangers to win the title has to take into consideration they could be at risk of points deductions or worse. All last season the threat was there but they made it through.

  85. TommyTucker 10 years ago

I’ve come across a double of:
    Lille/Grasshopper Under 3.5 MG
    Rangers WIN

    Double pays 11/10

Wondering on people’s thoughts and for any help? Thanks in advance guys.

    • TommyTucker 10 years ago

      Double pays 10/11****

      Apologies for the typo

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Tommy Tucker, looks OK to me – I expect Rangers to win but never can be sure with it being both sides’ first game.

  86. BeardedGeordie 10 years ago

i had to go 4 different newsagents to get one -.- and in the end i got it from Tesco haha

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Mr F, its usually always at my usual newsagent, even the shop keep said they had all gone by 8.30 -.- so i guess the free pull out made everyone crazy for it, im on lates tonight and in charge, so plan on reading it cover to cover and placing all bets i see fit :D

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

BeardedGeordie, I’m amazed they give it away free. I’d happily pay a tenner for it as it saves me hours of research and I’ll carry it with me all season. Anyone who can’t get should be able to buy a pullout when they put it on sale separately or nick it from your local bookies later on because it will be binned anyway.

    • BeardedGeordie 10 years ago

R u really confident about rangers tonight mr f not too clued up about Scottish football been reading about what raal sed about hibs

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Derek, I’m not over-confident. You have to accept there is a risking betting on any game at this stage of the season. Miller and Boyd will pose a threat while Hibs have still been struggling to score in pre-season. Reckon Stubbs will need a bit of time to sort things out.

  91. StevieB 10 years ago

Cheers Hampy for the heads up on the Teplice u19 game, great shout man.

Always riskier picking more teams, but less collateral damage when the inevitable curse of the 1 game letting you down strikes again lol

    Good luck today everyone.

  92. BeardedGeordie 10 years ago

i was always strongly leaning towards Chelsea for the title and still will put a bet on it een tho they looked shocking vs Werder Breman, but i can see Man Utd challenging,

Van Gaal has given that squad new life and i see A. Young really getting back into his best form from his Villa days.

  93. Ernie 10 years ago

True Mr F. Boyd and Miller will score from fun but as a Rangers fan i’m sure most would agree they have been Unwatchable last year or 2 unbelievably bad unless you have red white and blue specs on….not a shred of creativity and they new signings included still none, They should win League with strength of squad but I reckon Hearts will give them a run for their money!

As a Junior man Mr F what do you think of
Pollok 7/4, Ardrossan 5/2 and Cambuslang 7/4 to win their leagues.
I’m hearing Pollok are almost stick ons!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Ernie, junior leagues don’t start for a few weeks and I haven’t looked at them yet . Pollok should win it and of course are favourites but no stick-ons as they’re the bug guns to be shot at and for many teams it will be their first ever league game against them. In Clydebank’s division Auchinleck will again be the ones to beat.

  94. 10 years ago

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

pspud, you’d need to fight it with them and try to convince them you wouldn’t have cashed out. Obviously there was a issue with the goal that never was.

  96. Johnboy 10 years ago

    Afternoon Gents,

  97. Ryzo 10 years ago

Have you decided against making site changes?

    Regards.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Ryzo, I don’t “really fancy” Rangers and I’ve made it clear. It’s the first game of the season so anything goes. Site changes are going ahead.

  98. Davalarr 10 years ago

Kris boys to score and rangers to win pays 100/30, anyone got any thoughts?

  99. Capone31 10 years ago

Can’t wait to see the wheels fall off the LVG bus, wait till he sees the likes of Stoke tackling , he’ll be going crackers on the touch line lol

  100. cooldude 10 years ago

Capone, LVG is not easily flustered and has no fear. I rate him as one of the best managers in the world and for any Liverpool supporters out there I hope you enjoyed last nights game :)

  101. BeardedGeordie 10 years ago

last nights game was great from a spectators view, Man utd are a changed team, under moyes if they went 1-0 down they wouldnt of come back from it, they have alot more fight about them, i may even stick a tenner on Rooney Top Goal Scorer.

    • cooldude 10 years ago

BG, Ive finally got my love back for Utd again. I lost faith in them midway through last season, but the performances from Ashley Young, Wayne Rooney even Javier Hernandez have been quality and this season should really see Utd finish in the top 3.

  102. craigyboy 10 years ago

I thought before 50mins that Man U looked very ordinary. Coutinho and Sterling were cruising past players like they weren’t even there. Then its as if somebody flicked the switch and the game changed completely. I still think United need to improve their defence. They really struggled to handle Liverpool first half and the fact they were playing against a very immobile Lambert (who I thought was poor) has to be concerning for Van Gaal. If Daniel Sturridge had have played it would have been 2 or 3 at HT. I think the young lad Blackett looked more solid than Smalling and Jones to be fair.

  103. BeardedGeordie 10 years ago

You have a good team but just didn’t seem to wanna play, can’t wait to see RVP playing, you should do good this year mate, maybe a defender would be nice tho haha.

Longs toon finish top 8 I’m a happy geordie lol

  104. Capone31 10 years ago

Man Utd could not get any worse than last season so any manager to come in and make Utd string a few passes together will look like the Messiah, this is the toughest league he will ever have to work in, be it football or media.I hope Utd play better, last year was no fun or competition :)

    • cooldude 10 years ago

Capone, true but last season under Moyes the whole team looked out of sorts. Bad players have now picked up their performances and there’s talk of either Rooney or Evans been made captain. Capone, dont worry this season Pool will be in a heated battle once they play Utd.

  105. Tony 10 years ago

Paul it is a risk hope nothing happens like that again or its game over. Ral it should be close mate

  106. Capone31 10 years ago

Also people talking about Ashley Young being reborn into some kind of god, lol I nearly choked on my cornflakes. :)

    • cooldude 10 years ago

Capone dont choke on your cornflakes just yet. Wait until Utd beat you the league :)

    • 1plus2 10 years ago

Capone not a case of reborn just looks like he wants to be part of the team well in this tourney he did.

But it’s only friendlies and Van Gall may get shot of him if he see’s he ain’t the sort of player he want’s, It’s all about consistency and team ethics for Van Gall.

      And I ain’t a Man U fan btw

  107. Vangogh's Ear 10 years ago

Fair weather supporters. One season of poor football and you “fall out of love”

    Embarrasing

    • craigyboy 10 years ago

This is what frustrates me with glory fans. 9/10 they aren’t from the area, have never been to a game and don’t understand the passion ‘proper’ fans have for their club.
The term supporting a team for me is having a season ticket, taking in as many away games as possible. The whole meeting up with your mates in a boozer at 8am for an away game is one hell of a feeling that these unlucky ‘glory fans’ will never experience.
I got rid of my season ticket the season McCarthy took us up. I didn’t have one for the whole of the time we was in the Prem purely because too many toffs with a few quid pay to see the stars of other teams. I refuse to pay £40 to watch Wolves play at Old Trafford and lose 3 or 4-0.
I got my season ticket back last season after relegation to League One. No pre-Maddonna’s in the team. Just hard working players who gave their all but the main reason was to go to as many away games as possible with proper fans. No doubt some of the glory hunting fans (also known as the boo boys) will return this season and to be fair I cant stand it. Limiting my away games this season too purely because of the cost in these higher leagues.

    • robbo 10 years ago

spot on craig, much more fun in the lower leagues imo

      for newly promoted teams
the premiership is great for the first year or two going to the big grounds etc but then when you play one up front all season and try and nick a 0-0 at home to stoke it soon loses its appeal

  109. Mattr 10 years ago

I have just heard from a person I trust, albeit with Derby connections, that Forest will be in admin by January. This source told me weeks ago that Lascelles and Darlow were going and Pearce will walk by end of transfer window. I am guessing admin means a points deduction and have just before coming on here taken them to be relegated at 16/1

    • nathan ufton 10 years ago

Theyve just made 7 mill from their garage sale, so that will keep the wolves from the door for a bit, BUT they have taken both their ” 2 assets ” back on season long loans. One of their assets spent most of the 90 minutes picking the ball out of his own net vs Derby Lol. Assets. Lol.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

    rhyl 10-11 and 21-10 ht-ft

Rhyl have had a very good pre season against some good sides and their fans have beven mightily and impressed on their forum. If they send a full strength side then they should win imo
Droylsden were relegated from the northern prem last season with a shocking record but may have improved somewhat going on a couple of pre season results.
Like the Yeovil game last night if rhyl are anywhere near full strength on twitter after 7pm I will be on the above bets

  114. craigyboy 10 years ago

Just slowly reading through the Racing Post pull out and a couple of tasty prices for the sack race.
Favourite at 11/8 for the chop is Sam Allardyce. Crazy odds for a manager who has the experience of working within the Premier League and unless they lose their first 5 or 6 games I cant see that happening.
I have selected two off the page and RP has tipped one of the two I would back.
RP have tipped Paul Lambert to be sacked first and I have to say at 10/1 offers superb value for a man who was living on the edge a little bit last year.
My outside pick at 50/1 would be Steve Bruce. Really wouldn’t be surprised to see Hull start poorly with an away game against QPR followed by matches against Stoke and Villa could prove tricky.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

craigboy, could be Lambert but won’t be Bruce.

  115. robbo 10 years ago

I wish people would support their local team no matter how crap they are, league or non league, at least you are actually part of it instead of watching from afar and despite me despising Aston villa I would rather see a kid wearing a villa top down my local high street than a man u or Chelsea strip, just my opinion like

    • craigyboy 10 years ago

I agree robbo although I have to say I do feel sorry for you being stuck in the Prem all these years. Best experience supporting Wolves was the season just gone in League One.

    • craigyboy 10 years ago

On second thoughts you may be Blues robbo ;)

    • craigyboy 10 years ago

Or West Brom! Which one is it?

Oh my goodness where is Greg B. Pls come up with your tips pls. Come on Greg make it happen

  117. Wyorkie11 10 years ago

Swedish u21 games up on 365. Any fancies Greg? Hard to pick out with so many!!

  118. Mattr 10 years ago

36/1 all 12 Swedish U21 games O2.5mg. Shows show short the odds are as singles. I have a couple of pound on it :-)

  119. craigyboy 10 years ago

I cant believe Blackpool are 2/5 for the drop. I know they are struggling with a lack of players but that makes them shorter than Burnley to avoid the drop in the Prem which to me is an absolute banker.

  120. craigyboy 10 years ago

Right so you can get 11/10 on Blackpool to stay up…Crazy odds in what is a very open league!
You can get 8/1 on Blackpool to finish above Charlton, Milwall and Rotherham. Only concern with this would be Rotherham who I don’t think will fair that bad.

  121. nexus 10 years ago

Blackpool have a squad of 8 and had to add 9 trialists in a recent 1-0 loss to burnley.

  122. robbo 10 years ago

We’re heading for division 1 Craig with the clowns we have got in charge! that might giveyou a clue! 9 free transfers this summer sums us up,4th from bottom will be a successful season

  123. craigyboy 10 years ago

I’m not saying they haven’t got to add players but they will and the ones they have signed in Costa Rican Cubero, Delfounso, Clarke, Cywka and Mellis aren’t bad players for this level.
There’s a lot of teams in that league that can find themselves in trouble and there’s normally a shock big club that goes.
I’ll be heavily on Forest the weekend and expect them to destroy Blackpool 4 or 5 but I think in the coming weeks Blackpool will sort themselves out.

    • nathan ufton 10 years ago

I agree with Blackpool being beaten on the opening game, a team full of trialists who have no chance of gelling. Even though I hate Florist, a sensible bet would be Florist -1 in with a double for Derby -1. Nice and safe.

  124. nathan ufton 10 years ago

Mr F. regards Kenny Miller and Boyd, granted they played against a much stronger Derby side at the weekend, Miller made one cross which should of been capitalised on, and Boyd came on in the second half. Miller I fear is past his prime and Boyd well past his prime, I never rated him at middlesborough, although he was their big summer signing yet never really reached the level he was expected to. I think they are there to mix it with the youth in their side which seems to be Ally McCoist’s long term goal. Can’t think of his name, but Rangers had a young lad up front in their last game 4-2-3-1 formation.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Nathan, Boyd may be past his prime as you say but was one of the top scorer’s in last season’s Premiership. Miller will give 100 per cent and help the younger players. Both are good signings for a Championship campaign and Derby will be streets ahead of any sides Rangers will face in the league.

  129. Boco1976 10 years ago

    Newcastle 4/5
    Leicester 4/5
Both friendlys but both teams have been doing rightly in friendlys thus far.

  130. Rowen 10 years ago

which is your second selection greg apart from the Elfsborg – Gelfe match please? it’s pretty unclear from your post…

  131. Mattr 10 years ago

Nothing ventured Andy. Just hope keeps us interested past the earlier games. ..

  132. Greg Browning 10 years ago

    Second time lucky

Loving you / Wyorkie 11, had a look at the Swedish u21 matches gents and all of them have every chance of seeing goals! I’ve picked out two that in my humble opinion look the best! Small stakes!

    Elfsborg u21 v Gelfe u21 KO 5pm
    Osters u21 v Husqvarnan KO 5pm

    Over 1.5 & 3.5 goals

Is it osters vs husquvarna Greg mate

  135. craigyboy 10 years ago

One game I’m on at 16.00 is the Degerfors Swedish U21’s game.

    Over 1.5 FHG 5/6
    Over 3.5 goals 4/6

  136. Greg Browning 10 years ago

My thoughts on tonight’s B&Q cup matches ;)

    Rangers v Hibs

It’s hard to look past rangers, they look really strong going forward ( on paper ) and have options, lots of them – Hibs, well Hibs don’t really have anything! Won’t repeat what has already been said but they struggle for goals! Hibs don’t have a great record against Rangera having won just once in the last 18 meetings between the sides! It’s early days for both clubs so would keep stakes small!

Back over 2.5 Rangers team goals 5/4
Rangers goal before 32 mins 5/6

    Dunfermline v Raith KO 7.45

Fife derby and I can see there being goals! Raith look a real threat going forward with Nade and Elliot leading the line but they did conceded two against Forfar on Saturday! Dunfermline have brought in Moffat from Ayr and it looks like JJ has assembled a team that should be challenging for promotion! Both teams likely to score and that should aid our overs!

    Back over 2.5 goals 4/6
Elliot to score if you can get it

  137. Donny 10 years ago

Has anyone tipped up Kaiserslaughten 2? If not get on them to win at 13/8 as a single and over 2.5 which is only 8/13 but use it in an acca.

Main bet 13/8 for Kaiserslaughten 2 to win. Bookies have got this very wrong imo. No time to put stats but look yourselves.

  138. nexus 10 years ago

2.10 Panathinaikos to beat Standard Liège.
The first leg was 0-0 and Pana have a sell out home crowd for the return match.

    • nexus 10 years ago

      Pana 1-0 good start :)

  139. craigyboy 10 years ago

    Donny the stats look good!

I’m going for a Kaisersalutern 2 and Panathanaikos double

    Over 4/1!!!

  140. Donny 10 years ago

Craigyboy yeah they look good. I had kaiserslaughten to win last night and the support they get at home is quality. Hoping it’s the same for their second string. Can’t believe odds are 13/8 thought, I was expecting 4/6. Ah well, happy days. GL with ur double but I’m not gunna be greedy and just take the single.

  141. Davalarr 10 years ago

The odds for Kaiserslautern look to good to be true! Bookies never get anything wrong so I’m very wary of this!

  142. Craig Alves 10 years ago

    Hibs over 4.5 corners 11/10

    Raith v Dunfermline over 2.5 gls 4/6

    Double pays 5/2 @Bet365

    this game is already started

    • kevin 10 years ago

    • Lord Clegg 10 years ago

They mustn’t be very fussy about kick off times in Sweden. Another pitfall for the hard pressed punter.

    • kevin 10 years ago

did bet365 list it wrong cause the lazy at putting stuff. lol. dunno what greg was using. cause bet365 said 5pm

  144. Donny 10 years ago

Davalarr I suspect one reason is it’s only the second game of the season but I’m happy enough to back them regardless of the high price. By 8 we’ll know if the bookies messed up or not!!

  145. Craig Alves 10 years ago

Mon the Hibees, should be a good laugh watching this tonight in Gaelic commentary, probably of the same quality of the junior Scottish cup final that was also shown on BBC Alba :)

    • 1plus2 10 years ago

A cracking game that was if memory serves :-)

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Might be a dodgy result coming up Craig given a £25 backhander should be enough for either side to throw the game!! :)

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Craig, I should delete that comment. It’s a slur on junior football and the Bankies.

  146. Richierich 10 years ago

    Nice one Greg on u21

  147. John Regan 10 years ago

  152. cooldude 10 years ago

Mr f, Im under no illusion as to the amount of effort put into the footy pullout but wouldnt it be great if it could be done for golf or snooker as well??

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

cooldude, I’ve seen golf pullouts, I think there was one for The Open, but not snooker. Working on a newspaper I know what it’s like trying to put them out usually with little or no extra staff and it’s tough. I started work last night on one of our big Ryder Cup projects and I suppose the next for the Racing Post will be a Champions League preview.

  153. MonLosBlancos 10 years ago

    Good afternoon,

I spent 30 minutes going over the 4 games in Austrian Erste Liga all K.O. at 17.30.

I was looking for a double BTTS or over 2.5 goals.

But they all look worth BTTS & separately over 2.5 goals.
I didn’t realise the time & don’t have time to post stats.

    chhoe a single or double, as there will be goals. I have gone for all four matches;

    BTTS @ 6.49
    ov 2.5 goals @ 8.36

Better odds maybe available elsewhere but I only checked PaddyP.

Good luck if you follow this bet.

  154. Alex 10 years ago

Nice quick overs Gregg!! I got on inplay.

Gone for a trixie this evening courtesy of Mr F, some fight talk from Greg and Raal’s BTTS to score. I need at least two to come in to break even and 3 for the big boom. GL all!

  155. cooldude 10 years ago

Mr f, Q: What is the difference between Liverpool and a cup of tea? A: The tea stays in the cup longer! :)

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

cooldude, old ones are best – right need to write up a Celtic piece for tomorrow’s paper.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

If it helps Mr F I had a dream that it finished 1-1. Next night though I dreamt I was swimming up a waterfall with a chicken tied to each ear so perhaps my dreams are not to be taken literally :)

    • bigmick 10 years ago

mr f as a celtic man good luck with that one.

    • bigmick 10 years ago

cooldude man utd is like an old bra, all support and no cups.

Q: What does a Liverpool fan do when his team has won the Champions League?

Phil Jones (Man utd defender- just in case your not familiar with the name!) is the English version of David Luiz, just without the hair and that’s not a complement! :)

  170. raaljaca 10 years ago

Unlikely dudes but they will do a good few pages on it tomorrow with Palmer and Chapmans tips mate.

  171. Craig Alves 10 years ago

Bigmick, nice to see you’re confidant :) 3-0 is definitely do-able but the big question is will we concede?? With Efe out, surely can’t play as bad as last week. Only bet I’ll be on tomorrow is Celtic RT9 corners and hope for the best, early goal would be ideal

    • bigmick 10 years ago

craig i think celtic will win but its a big ask to pull that scoreline back mate.

  182. TommyTucker 10 years ago

Are the lower tier German matches normally this tight? 1 goal from 8 matches half an hour in seems very strange for low level football?

  183. Craig Alves 10 years ago

I’ll be there Mick so praying for a 3-0 or more, not that confidant in qualifying but if get early goal, maybe 2-0 at HT it’d be great. Hoping that last week was a lesson learned, it’s all about Deila’s starting 11 and picking the experienced players instead of gambling wi Berget, Matthews left back etc. Kayal needs to start or Biton but we’ll see tomorrow, 3-5-2 probably best formation but could be fpund out at back

I admit this is a purely stats based observation but thought I’d post it anyway

    Wuppertaler vs Bayer Leverkusen half-time

It’s 1-1 at half time but it’s the corner count that has caught the eye. Leverkusen have had an incredible 16 corners in the first half

For there to be just 6 in the second half is 1.83 – seems like it’s got to have a chance?

    over 21 corners @ 1.83

  197. Hughes19 10 years ago

Thanks Mr F and all the others that mentioned the football pullout that was included with the Racing Post today, didn’t know until I read it here so thanks. Had a quick glance over it and can’t believe it’s been included as a free pullout. Excellent value in my opinion. :)

  235. ginger 10 years ago

    Mr F
I read through the t+c’s for the enhanced odds for new customers on mc bookie for the rangers match and you had to be a Scottish resident to qualify.
This is also the case for there £25 matched bet welcome bonus.seems a bit of a con.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

ginger, you get nothing for nothing mate with any bookie.

    • bigmick 10 years ago

ginger it seems like discrimanation to me

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

ginger, it’s not a con and I’ve said before if you’re a genuine punter living outside Scotland you will get all the deals if you contact me. The reason for the Scottish thing is because when they first started they had loads of people from outside Scotland opening accounts just to take advantage of the offers and never have a bet.

Greg again….great shout on the rangers goal!

I didn’t realise the time & don’t have time to post stats.

    chhoe a single or double, as there will be goals. I have gone for all four matches;

    BTTS @ 6.49 *LOST* 2/4
    ov 2.5 goals @ 8.36 *LOST* 3 out of 4 but a loss nonetheless

Better odds maybe available elsewhere but I only checked PaddyP.

Good luck if you follow this bet.

*Apologies to anyone who bet these tips*

I feel that the practice of posting losing bets, helps in as much as it makes me more determined to continue learning and to thoroughly research tips before posting.

    • kevin 10 years ago

only one that ain’t gone over 2.5 is lille match, which is the only one i on. mind you started later than others.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

lucas, it’s strange because the ties looked tight. Standard Liege have done well to get through in Greece from 1-0 down.

  241. InterYerNan 10 years ago

    Craig hibs corners looking gooooood!

  242. Craig Alves 10 years ago

Inter they were usually good for corners last season and now look decent for them this season too, 1 more for 5+ and hopefully be in before HT

  243. Micky belfast 10 years ago

    Cheers mr f

  244. Northy 10 years ago

UCD waves women are scoring every time they go up the pitch just so you guys know, I got on over 6.5 when it was 4-0 at evens, 10 mins later it’s already come up

  245. robbo 10 years ago

ucd waves women inrunning, 7-0 up half time

minus 9 is 13-8 which seems generous

  246. Northy 10 years ago

Over 9.5 at even’s now too, half time and probaby a totally different lineup after though

  247. Alex 10 years ago

Over 9.5 at even’s now too, half time and probaby a totally different lineup after though

Over 9.5 at even’s now too, half time and probaby a totally different lineup after though

  249. Richard 10 years ago

    Would class this as speculative

Forest Green vs Arsenal XI 2-2 after 60 mins

Asian line of over 5 is 2.20 and pretty confident there will be another goal or two so taking the safer option rather than over 5.5 which is

    • Alex 10 years ago

Richard, nice one got on the overs at 3-3. Extremely instinctive evening :P

  250. Richard 10 years ago

    RANGERS v HEARTS (SUNDAY)

    HEARTS DOUBLE CHANCE 19/20

Seriously guys get on this soon. Rangers do not even look match fit and with Jack and Victor up front we really have nothing to fear from them. And as for Hibs?? Really need to order some more black bin bags to use for collecting from the bookies this season opposing this lot. Can Stubbs not see that only Stanton and Harris have any chance of creating anything? Hibs keeper Oxley looks very nervous, wait till you come to Tynecastle next weekend son you better bring a change of underwear ;)

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

raaljaca, I wanted to watch to get an idea about the teams but as you say both look poor. Rangers need to get the ball to Boy but little creativity in midfield.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Mr F, they just do not look match fit. We will really have a go at them come Sunday and we do have the players to take advantage.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

raaljaca, and they’ve let Hibs score! You know more about Hearts team than me but if they can handle the occasion it’s one they could win. I never judge a team on one game but Rangers have to do better.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Oliver and Nicholson will leave them standing and big Sow up front will get plenty chances. We really should have an excellent chance of winning Mr F which makes the double chance an absolute stand out bet.

    • bigmick 10 years ago

raal when did jack and victor sign for the gers?

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Going by the way they play about 80 years ago Mick! I know it is only the start of the season but Boyd looked better with Killie than he does here. Maybe just needing a few more games but that is what preseason should be all about.

  257. Richard 10 years ago

Forest Green vs Arsenal over 5 ftg @ 2.20 WIN – had worse betting days :)

  258. Richard 10 years ago

Already on that Chappers – got over 8.5 at 1.83 after about 42 mins – that last goal in the first half was a bonus :)

  259. Northy 10 years ago

Bet365 just removed the game at 9-0

  260. jasper 10 years ago

Raal if I wasn’t a Gers fan id probably be all over that.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

jasper. In all honesty mate McCoist needs booted out but it won’t happen. Rangers look terrible mate.

    • 1plus2 10 years ago

Sad but true raal as long as they keep going up it probably won’t happen but when things start going backwards legend or not he will get the boot or leave.

  261. InterYerNan 10 years ago

Raal mate, how does the double chance bet wprk? Am I correct in saying of heart win or draw the bets a winner?

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

That is exactly it Inter, basically a win or draw bet combined. We are 3/1 to win which is huge but at 19/20 it really is a very very good bet to almost double your money. Will write up on it on Thursday but we basically have the players with pace and ability to rip that mobs defence to shreds.

  262. TommyTucker 10 years ago

Would just like to thank a few people for their work this evening:

Raal, got on your NAP and it won by HT @ 4/5 WON
Donny, thanks for sharing the Kaiserslautern 2 pick @ 7/4 WON
Richard, fantastic shout with the Bayer Leverkusen corners @ 5/6 WON

Also, struck with one of my own in-play – Liefering win @ 13/8 WON

Now hoping for the double of: Rangers win/under 3.5 MG Lille vs Grasshoppers @ 10/11

Thanks guys for my most successful evening yet!

  263. Craig Alves 10 years ago

Raith to qualify 11/8, big price with Dunfermline 8/15 but since there’s no goals so far I’ll take a chance wi Roath Ravers

  264. Craig Alves 10 years ago

  265. Chappers 10 years ago

  278. John Regan 10 years ago

Iv’e taken middlesborough to beat my team birmingham on Saturday we have a poor record at the riverside also Blackpool seem to be notts forest bogey side although Blackpool have big problems Stuart Pearce has slated the board for selling two players to Newcastle.

    • robbo 10 years ago

we have just accepted a bid from Cardiff for our best midfielder tom adeyemi, great timing not

  279. Richard 10 years ago

Went on Lille win at 1.90 – figure if they score they’re likely to win anyway

  280. Richard 10 years ago

wonder what odds FC United of Manchester were on double chance at half-time – pulled back a 3 goals deficit in 14 minutes – should’ve known as are Hyde not the team we were backing against all of last season?

  281. Craig Alves 10 years ago

The Bears ar going out on pens :) :) :)

    Over 4.5 Hibs corners 11/10 WINS :)

  282. Jack Fenn 10 years ago

Grasshoppers down to 10 men, surely will keep attacking as they’re going out anyway? Lille at evens may be worth a punt.

  283. Banksie 10 years ago

3rd goal method rangers game – penalty 18/1 bet365 for loose change

  284. Ernie 10 years ago

Mr F you say 1 game but surely you watched the 20 odd games that Rangers were on the tv last season and more the season before….. Or at least some of them. They are a sorry sorry lot who are absolutely shocking and i know Rangers fans who have been die hards of 30-40 years that have stopped going due to the poor fare on show. They are devoid of creativity in the slightest and cannot keep possession for more than 10 passes even against part time teams let alome hibs or hearts.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Ernie, I tried not to watch Rangers’ games last season to be honest. It’s a new season in a new league and they have a new strikeforce so it’s fair enough to see how they look against a side regarded as a Championship contender.

  285. John Regan 10 years ago

Robbo were going to struggle again but I think we will do enough we’ve got bolton last game again lol.

  286. mexicomarti 10 years ago

Well, that truly awful, shocking, horrendous, worst yeam ever called Hibs have been running rings round THe Rangers…according to a couple on here. hibs had NO chance whatsoever yet they are by far the better team and should be well ahead in the second half….strange how people form opinions before even seeing a team play and before a season has even started. ;-)

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

mexicomarti, 2 poor teams from what I can see – raaljaca was the only one slating Hibs and he’s biased. Harsh sending-off but didn’t catch what the commentator said. Rangers should edge it against 10.

  287. TommyTucker 10 years ago

Anyone think it’s worth sticking a small stake on Hibs at 6/1 to nick it with 20 mins left?

Stats look like they’re more likely than Rangers. Any advice from people watching it would be appreciated.

  288. 10 years ago

How are Newcastle lookin? Anyone know???

  289. Duncan Poundcake 10 years ago

What a shower ,what a great league this championship is going to be ,Scottish football is a laughing stock .If Celtic go out tomorrow would someone switch out the lights .

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Duncan, from a betting point of view it will be a brilliant league mate, I promise you.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Duncan, Boylesports have lengthened Hearts odds for the double chance to 21/20!!! See, the bookies just do not get it mate.

    • 1plus2 10 years ago

Can’t disagree duncan it’s been a laughing stock for years sadly.

  290. Craig Alves 10 years ago

Duncan Poundcake, there’s always the Europa League. Don’t think people realise that Celtic will be in a play-off for that going by some of the comments in last week :)

  291. alec 10 years ago

be worth a small bet on hearts beat rangers hearts proved last season they are a much better team than rangers mcoist is clue less stubbs must be laughing on the touchline at him

    • Lossie jim 10 years ago

Your bet on the league wi Hearts is looking good Raal after watching this!!

  300. Banksie 10 years ago

Real, you may not need it…. Hearts for league without rangers 10/11 paddy power (4/7 bet365)

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Banksie, got on at EVENS 3-4 weeks back and Hearts each way at 4/1 with a quarter the odds 1-2 mate. We are nailed on for 1 or 2. Match bets, if you can get Falkirk v Hibs then back Falkirk as I reckon they will finish 3rd.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

raaljaca, even after watching Rangers tonight I’m sticking with 1. Rangers, 2. Hearts. Experience will probably win the day for Rangers. Templeton looks their best player tonight but they’ll have to find a way of getting Boyd more involved.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Can understand the reasoning behind it Mr F but Hearts each way at 4/1 was an outstanding bet with the possibility of a deduction hitting Rangers. I know it all depends on a lot of factors but I honestly think it is probable rather than possible.

  301. Johnny J 10 years ago

    4fold tomorrow @ 6/1

    Salzburg asian – 3

    Hull win

    Steaua Bucherest win

    Dinamo Zagreb win

  307. William bailie 10 years ago

Hearts must be getting close to odds on now raal buddy ??? This rangers lots look there for the taking this year , on this showing !

  308. Ian L 10 years ago

Hey raal never mind double chance the bet is hearts to win.

Rangers are knackered in more ways than one lol

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Ian L, I’d advise a bit of caution. Too many people writing off Rangers on one game – their first of the season. Look at their players and you’ll see a strong team. I think Hearts will get something at Ibrox but they’ll need to play really well and not freeze.

  309. raaljaca 10 years ago

William, Ian, our squad are 90% under 20 year olds who played some great football towards the end of last season. Virtually every single one of them have renewed their contracts at Tynecastle because they know under Levein and Neilson we will go back up in 1 go. We will tear Rangers apart on the deck on Sunday. We then have Hibs at Tynecastle the following week and as soon as -1 becomes available start piling into it. Hearts -1 against Rangers is 12/1, the win is 10/3 and the double chance is/was 21/20. I will see exactly who is going to start against Rangers and then advise you how to make Sunday a BIG payday. Get on the Double Chance now though as it will shorten.

  310. Greg Browning 10 years ago

Sorry gents, Dunfermline and Raith pretty much canceled each other out! Overall though a pretty good day!

Ibrox is making Mcdiarmid look like a Turkish cauldron! Did anyone see the rangers goal, Hibs player basically gave up as he was injured!

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Greg, saw the goal. I know the boy was injured but surely he could have booted the ball clear even if it was going to hurt.

  311. Duncan Poundcake 10 years ago

Boylesports must have been overrun with bets I only got 20/21
Biggest bet of this year except that bloody horse at Cheltenham that I don’t talk about lol.

Proud of you Duncan Poundcake ;) In Hearts We Trust :)

FFS just checked back in to see Lille didn’t win, tut. :(

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Shaun, Lille didn’t need to win and that always something to consider.

  313. Shaun tanner 10 years ago

    That did win though-

Hyde match- over 5.5 mg 10/11

    10/11 WINNER!!!

  314. Shaun tanner 10 years ago

Finland women u20 match- over 1.5 FHG 5/6 & over 3.5 mg 4/5 bigger bet.

Lot of money for NK has forced some bookies to close books early.
Told they will win this 4-0 or 5-0 from someone at a bookies HQ.

  316. Craig Alves 10 years ago

Only 1 corner in 1st half of ET, 93rd minute :( but 3 quick fire corners brings in 3.5 corners at evens to cancel that out

  317. InterYerNan 10 years ago

Anyone got any thoughts on Luverdens home win against portuguesa in the Brasilia B game at 11.30 tonight mate?

    Luverdense are 3rd vs 19th placed Portugues. Home are W5 D0 L1.
    Rhe away are W0 D3 L3.

Luverdense are 4/5 to win which I think is a very good price for the home win.

  318. Mitchymitch 10 years ago

Raaljaca, no offence mate, but I hope you are eating a very large slice of humble pie come Sunday at 3.30pm :-D

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Mitchymitch, no certainties mate other than us humping Hibs 4 times a season but these prices are plain wrong!!! We are capable of winning at your place so the double chance just begs to be backed.

  319. Richard 10 years ago

Noticed that price as well InterYerNan and think I’ll take a piece of that as it seems decent given the early season form

  320. Stevie 10 years ago

    Late night bets.

    11.30 Luverdense v potuguesa.
Form and table look good for a home win for luverdense.

    1.00am joinville v sampaio correa.
Joinville last 5 home games have gone under 1.5 goals.
Sampaio last 5 aways. 4/5 have gone under 2.5 goals.

Short priced faves Cruz azul and Montreal look good for home wins add Olympia away at alpha for a treble.

    Luverdense 3/4
    Joinville v sampaio Under 2.5 4/6
    Cruz azul 2/7
    Montreal 1/4
    Olimpia 4/6
    5 fold pays around 7-1

  321. Wednesbury ay it 10 years ago

Raaljaca, I admire your confidence!!! PILE IN almost Churchillian if you don’t mind me saying. I’ll have me a “bit” of that. Will this bet be available in the shops? Come on you Baggies!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Wednesbury, all these bets will be available in the shops as well as online. Take the online price write it on a slip hand over your money and remind them you will be back before closing time Sunday to collect mate. :) In Gorgie We Trust ;)

  324. raaljaca 10 years ago

And the best of British to you good sir! C’mon you Baggies

  325. Greg Browning 10 years ago

One thing is for Sure it’s going to be a fascinating league! Got to love Raal’s confidence – to be fair he’s usally spot in with these things!

Mr F it was outrageous, cramp or not he’s essentially cost them the tie all because he didn’t want to get hurt!

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Confidence comes with experience Greg ;) Gut feeling :)

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

Greg, we have to remember raaljaca is talking with his head and his heart. You’re right about the injured player – clear the ball then suffer the consequences.

  326. Wednesbury ay it 10 years ago

Right you are then Sir! A millitary style operation to be carried out on Sunday then featuring a wheelbarrow it is! Thanks! Come on you Baggies!

  327. One team in Ulster 10 years ago

Somebody has been drinking to much of that asda vintage blackcurrant cordial lol

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

One team in Ulster, time will tell. You can’t accuse raaljaca of sitting on the fence.

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Mr F I always always bet with my head but right now both that and my heart are saying to back us :) Last season when we went to Easter Road and were odds against I could not contain myself trying to get the guys to back Hearts and we won a very decent sum of money. Next week an even stronger Hearts side will play an even worse Hibs side at Tynecastle and anything better than 4/6 would be an absolute steal.

    • Mr Fixit 10 years ago

raaljaca, enjoy your dream. I’m sure Hearts will be bigger than 4-6 against Hibs.

    • One team in Ulster 10 years ago

Mr F, Raal certainly doesn’t sit on the fence

    • raaljaca 10 years ago

Sitting on the fence doesn’t put money in our pockets Ulster mate ;)

  328. raaljaca 10 years ago

Ulster, I stuck to single strength all evening so as not to cloud my judgement. We can get at least a point from Ibrox but the following week we will hammer Hibs. A young fearless Hearts side will tear that makeshift defence to pieces.

    • One team in Ulster 10 years ago

Raal, in that case mate im going to follow ur excellent judgement for saturday. lets just hope that to much cordial doesn’t makes u deluded lol

Risky one but I don’t think CD are anything special away from home.

    Zacatepec v Tijuana BTTS @8/13

Tijuana are the better side here but Zacatepec managed to score one away so BTTS should come in.

Santos Laguna v Athletico San Luis BTTS @8/14

Return fixture finished a surprising 3-1 to Athletico, Santos will need to attack to try and overcome the deficite and that should see BTTS.

    Double pays around @1.70
