The fourth day of the WTA Finals brings us back to the Orange Group, with players fighting it out to stay alive, and make the semi-finals cut. With Jessica Pegula taking on Barbora Krejcikova and Iga Swiatek clashing against Coco Gauff, here are our WTA Finals day four betting tips and predictions.
Best WTA Finals betting tips for day 4
We’ve scoured the latest odds from bookmaker Betfred and come up with these two bets this Tuesday at the WTA Finals:
Pegula vs Krejcikova – over 20.5 @ 4/6
The odds might not be enormous here, but we’re comfortably backing the over 21.5 games market. Why? Because there is a chance that Pegula barely wins this one.
The American is the better player overall, and this is a favourable matchup for her because she is the better pure hitter.
Trouble is, Krejcikova did beat her in the most recent match they played. That’s the thing with Krejcikova. Every once in a while she will find her crazy level but it doesn’t seem like it will happen here.
She did win a set against Swiatek but Swiatek didn’t play that great. Pegula lost to Coco Gauff which was expected as she tends to struggle with her, but here, we think Pegula should win.
We’re going to back a close match though. It seems like the most likely outcome.
Swiatek to defeat Gauff 2-0 @ 1/1
This matchup is one of the more lopsided matchups we have on the WTA Tour. Swiatek and Gauff have played 12 times so far and Swiatek won 11 times. That’s quite a streak and it’s not going to change in this match.
There is a certain mental block for the American when she plays against the Polish player. The odds are superb for the 2-0 and we’re going to back it.
Gauff did look good against Pegula and Swiatek looked shaky against Krejcikova but it’s a matchup problem. Swiatek is a pure hitter, consistent as well while Gauff is not.
That’s a problem and it’s why she has massive problems against her historically. Not just here but other hitters like Sabalenka and Rybakina too.
Back Swiatek to race through this one, and keep alive her hopes of ending the year No. 1.
