PARTICK THISTLE were tipped and backed to win the Championship this season, but they have got off to a sluggish start.

However, there are signs they are starting to gel and can get another win at Firhill at 17/20 against Dunfermline, with McBookie.com.

The Jags looked like they may take time to receiver from their second Premiership play-off defeat in a row last term after lossess at Raith Rovers and Falkirk.

But they hammered Queen's Park in their last home game at Maryhill and took a deserved point from Somerset Park last week against leaders Ayr United.

When you look at the squad Kris Doolan has assembled, it's surely only a matter of time before Thistle start moving up the table. Players like Kyle Turner, Robbie Crawford and Logan Chalmers should have enough about them to mount a challenge.

And the eye-catching arrival of Kanayo Megwa, who was so impressive on loan from Hibs at Airdrie last season, should be an excellent addition.

Dunfermline got their first win of the season last week but they were playing against a Raith Rovers team reduced to ten men for most of the game.

And Thistle should be too good for them.

Raith Rovers are another team who will be disappointed with their start to the season and sit in bottom place in the Championship.

But they may be in something of a false position and can grab a first win for new manager Neill Collins against Hamilton Accies at 17/20 with McBookie.com this week.

Rovers of course missed out in the play-off final last season to Ross County when it looked like a couple of games too far

And their sacking of Ian Murray looked extremely harsh.

But they still have the nucleus of a decent squad and have a great chance of grabbing their second home win of the season against Accies.

They were walloped by Livingston last week and have collected just one point from their three league away games this season.

Hearts' dismal start has been well documented and have lost seven in a row to be bottom of the table.
Saints have been far from brilliant too and European football appears to have thoroughly distracted them.

But they are strong at home and Stephen Robinson will have them well up for this against a Hearts team bereft of confidence and the hosts look overpriced.
